Interbody spacer

An interbody spacer for the spine is provided. The interbody spacer includes a cage and at least one bone screw configured to anchor the cage between two vertebrae of the spine. The cage includes a lock rotationally movable with respect to the cage between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. When in an unlocked configuration, bone screws may be inserted and removed from the cage. When in a locked configuration, the insertion and removal pathway of the bone screw is blocked by the lock, thereby, providing backout protection for the bone screws. The lock is coupled to the cage by a pronged retainer and includes a camming surface to provide for incremental rotation of the lock. The lock includes a space-saving shape providing for maximum bone screw angulation on a laterally smaller anterior platform.

In one embodiment, the implant assembly comprises a humeral component, an adaptor fixed to the neck of the humeral component, and a glenosphere bearing component coupled to the adaptor. The glenosphere bearing component comprises a first bearing surface that interfaces with an articulating surface of the adaptor to allow the adaptor to rotate relative to the adaptor and humeral component. The adaptor and the glenosphere bearing component form a locking mechanism that prevents the adaptor from decoupling from the glenosphere bearing component while allowing the adaptor to remain rotatable relative to the glenosphere bearing component after the implant assembly is implanted in the patient The second bearing surface is configured to interface with a glenosphere component to allow the glenosphere bearing component to articulate relative to the glenosphere component.

The glenoid implant allows assembling the platform indifferently with one of various articular components which differ from each other for example by their material composition and/or by some geometric features of their convex articular surface and/or etc. The articular component that is effectively assembled with the platform can be chosen by the surgeon during surgery, i.e. during an implantation operation or just before the latter.

According to the specific position of the joint to be replaced, the corresponding artificial interphalangeal joint can be selected for replacement. Among them, the bionic artificial interphalangeal joint that can be installed between the metacarpal bone and the proximal phalanx has multiple degrees of freedom, which allows the proximal phalanx to bent in any direction like a real finger, and the bending angle of the proximal phalanx can be up to about 90 degrees when the proximal phalanx is bent toward the inner side of the finger.
