A first bone plate of the plurality of bone plates has a first shape and a second bone plate of the plurality of bone plates has a second shape that is different from the first shape. The modular bone reinforcement system can include additional components, such one or more fixation devices, reduction devices, navigation aids, or other components.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING IMPLANT POSITIONS OF TWO MEDICAL IMPLANT COMPONENTS FORMING A JOINT
20230042076 · 2023-02-09 ·

A data processing method, performed by a computer, for determining implant positions of two implant components relative to two bones, wherein each of the implant components is to be attached to one of the bones such that the implant components form a joint between the bones, and wherein an implant position is a relative position between the implant component and the corresponding bone, said method comprising the steps of: a) acquiring a set of target poses, wherein a target pose represents a relative position to be achieved between the two bones; b) calculating a set of virtual poses for a pair of virtual test implant positions, wherein the set of virtual poses comprises one virtual pose for each of the target poses and wherein a virtual pose represents a relative position between the two bones if the virtual test implant positions were applied as the implant positions; c) calculating a pose deviation value for each of the target poses, wherein a pose deviation value represents the difference between a target pose and the corresponding virtual pose; d) calculating an overall pose deviation value from all the individual pose deviation values; e) repeating steps b) to d) for different pairs of virtual test implant positions until the overall pose deviation value fulfils a minimisation criterion; and f) using the pair of virtual test implant positions for which the minimisation criterion is fulfilled as the implant positions.

Methods, systems and apparatuses are disclosed including apparatuses that can be used in a total knee replacement procedure. According to one example, a tibial implant is disclosed. The tibial implant can be configured for attachment to a tibia in a knee arthroplasty and can include a baseplate having a lateral portion and a medial portion oriented relative to an anteroposterior axis and a fixation member. Each of the lateral portion and the medial portion can have a distal surface configured to interface with a resected proximal surface of a tibia. The fixation member can be coupled to and extend both distally and medially from the baseplate such that the fixation member is oriented at an acute angle relative to the distal surface of the medial portion.

LATERAL INSERTION SPINAL IMPLANT

The present disclosure relates to a spinal implant. The spinal implant may be used for lateral insertion into an intervertebral disc space. For example, the spinal implant may include a spacer body to which a plate is fixed. The intervertebral spacer body may include a pair of opposite sides having a pyramid-shaped teeth to fuse to bone. The plate defines at least one upper and lower borehole that each receives a screw. Each screw attaches the plate to a vertebral body between which the intervertebral spacer body is inserted. The boreholes may include locking threads that are adapted to lock the screws into place by engaging complementary locking threads of head of the screw.
