In one embodiment, the present disclosure relates to a broach for use in a mammalian femur. The broach includes a body with a proximal portion and a distal portion extending from the proximal portion. The proximal portion has a first surface with a plurality of first teeth and the distal portion has a second surface with a plurality of second teeth. Each of the second teeth is different from each of the first teeth. And, each of the plurality of second teeth include pointed protrusions extending outward from the second surface.

HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE SPINAL FUSION CAGE
The present invention relates to a spinal fusion cage which is inserted between vertebral bodies in a state where the cage has the lowest height, is height-adjustable in the inserted state, and can simplify a height adjustment mechanism, thus making it possible to replace cages having heights in a certain range by a single cage. Therefore, manufacturers can reduce product groups that need to be produced, and can also reduce product stock. Further, in contrast to the conventional cages having predetermined heights at regular intervals, the height of the inventive cage can be linearly adjusted according to the distance between the vertebral bodies of a patient, and thus a surgery can be performed using the cage adjusted to an optimum height according to the patient’s condition.

An antibiotic delivery system including an intramedullary stem that is adapted to be removably mounted into a medullary canal of a bone. The stem includes a body having an inlet adapted to be in fluid communication with a source of liquid-borne antibiotic and a plurality of outlets disposed along the stem. A channel extends between the inlet and the plurality of outlets for delivering a fluid-borne antibiotic from the inlet to the plurality of outlets so as to distribute the antibiotic along the medullary canal in a controlled fashion. A method of treating an infected joint during a two-stage re-implantation of an orthopedic implant is also disclosed.

Aspects of the present disclosure include a device for forming a custom cement cast of an acetabular implant for a patient. The device includes an elongated handle, and a head coupled to a proximal end of the elongated handle. The head includes a body, a circumferential lip, and a nipple. The body of the head is shaped as a spherical cap, and includes a circular base and an apex. The circumferential lip extends radially outwardly from the circular base of the body. The nipple extends from the apex of the body in a direction perpendicular to the circular base.
MESH SPACER HYBRID SPINAL IMPLANT
A hybrid spinal implant for performing an intervertebral fusion procedure can include a pair of spacers separated by an expandable container that are formed of a porous titanium scaffold material. A connecting rod can span longitudinally between the pair of spacers. The spacers can be formed of titanium or PEEK, with endplates that are formed of the porous titanium scaffold material. The endplates can be bioactive. Exposed surfaces of the porous titanium scaffold material can be coated in a snag-preventing substance. The expandable container can be formed of a mesh material.
