Hammer toe implant with expansion portion for retrograde approach
A system includes and implant and an elongate device. The implant includes a first bone engaging portion and a flexible portion coupled to an end of the first bone engaging portion at an engagement portion. The flexible portion is configured to be compressed toward a longitudinal axis defined by the flexible portion. The elongate device includes an engagement end that is sized and configured to engage the engagement portion of the implant.
METHOD AND IMPLANT DEVICE FOR GRAFTING ADJACENT VERTEBRAL BODIES
A methodology for grafting together adjacent bony structures is provided using an implant device having an endplate with an inner disc portion and outer ring portion spaced from the inner disc portion by a connecting wall disposed there between. An endplate interior surface includes a retaining structure for securing the endplate to one of the bony structures, and endplate an exterior surface has an integrally formed socket. A ball-joint rod has a longitudinally extending body and an end, and at least a portion of the ball-joint rod end is curvilinear in shape. The curvilinear ball-joint rod end is rotatably disposed in the endplate socket to fixedly interconnect the bony structures.
Intervertebral Prosthesis or Disk Prosthesis
An intervertebral prosthesis or disk prosthesis comprising a front side, a rear side, an upper side which can be placed on the base plate of vertebral body, a lower side which can be placed on the base plate of a vertebral body, a right side, a left side, a cavity which can receive a fluid hydraulic osteocementum, an opening in the cavity and several outlets out from the cavity. The total of the transversal surfaces of the outlets S.sub.V on the front side, the total of the transversal surfaces of the outlets S.sub.H on the rear side, the total of the transversal surfaces of the outlets S.sub.R on the right side and the total of the transversal surfaces of the outlets on the left side satisfy the following conditions: S.sub.L>S.sub.R or S.sub.R>S.sub.L or S.sub.H>S.sub.V or S.sub.V>S.sub.H.
IMPLANT FUSION DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
The present invention relates to an implant fusion device and a method of manufacturing an implant fusion device. More particularly an orthopedic or spinal implant configured to be implanted between adjacent vertebrae or within a gap in a bone or between bones, the device having a manufactured body structure simulating the physical characteristics of trabecular bone, but with improved osteoinductive features on the exterior surface wherein the device is fabricated using 3D printing. Alternatively, the implant may be made through 3D printing in a manner that results in a relatively or completely solid structure, but with a surface that mimics trabecular bone structure.

Mineral coated scaffolds
Provided is a composition for a scaffold having a mineral coating similar to bone. Also provided is a method for mineral coating a scaffold so as to promote mineral coating of the scaffold with a plate-like nanostructure and a carbonate-substituted, calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite phase.
Spinal cage having deployable member
A spinal cage with a wall extending in a longitudinal direction defining an interior space is disclosed. There is also provided a deployable element in movable relation to the spinal cage.
Vertebral Body Replacement
The present invention involves a system and methods for assembling and implanting a vertebral body implant. The vertebral body implant includes, but is not necessarily limited to, an expandable core body and endplates that can be attached at both ends. Endplates of various shapes, sizes and angles are attachable to the expandable core in a plurality of positions so that a suitable vertebral body implant can be implanted between vertebrae from an anterior, anterior-lateral, lateral, posterior or posterior-lateral approach.
Methods and Systems For Minimally Invasive Posterior Arch Expansion
Provided are methods and systems for enlarging a spinal canal of a vertebra. Using the methods and systems disclosed the spinal canal of the vertebra is enlarged by cutting the posterior arch portion of the vertebra to create one or two implant receiving spaces in the posterior arch portion. The cutting of the posterior arch portion is completed through a minimally invasive approach. Once cut, the detached portion of the posterior arch portion is repositioned and an implant is positioned in the implant receiving space of the posterior arch portion to thereby enlarge the spinal canal such that the spinal cord is no longer compressed. The insertion of the implant is also completed through a minimally invasive approach.
