09539102 · 2017-01-10 · ·

Intervertebral implants for implanting into an intervertebral space are provided. The implants can comprise one or more layers that are operably attached to one another. An implant can comprise a first layer having a first mating surface that mates with a second mating surface of a second layer. The first mating surface and the second mating surface can have features that allow them to complement each other. The implants can include one or more bore holes for receiving a fixation member. The bore holes can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. In some cases, the bore holes will be blind bore holes.

SMALL JOINT FIXATION

Disclosed is a medical device having a first implant portion having a proximal end, a second implant portion connected to the first implant portion, the second implant portion having a distal end, and a driver assembly removably connected to the distal end, the driver assembly comprising a drill connected to the distal end at a connection.

An intervertebral cage includes a thin main wall having two return parts at opposite ends of the wall. The wall has an approximately constant thickness. The return parts are extended by facing end parts having a gap between them. The wall, the return parts and end parts delimit an inner cavity. The gap extends parallel to the wall and has a length between 50% and 100% of the cavity length. The gap length is preferably between 70% to 90% of the cavity length.

Tibial tray with fixation features

An orthopaedic prosthesis including a tibial tray is disclosed. The tibial tray includes a distal pocket and a plurality of inner pockets. Each inner pocket includes a channel sized to receive bone cement. The tibial tray includes distal-facing surfaces that have a surface roughness (Ra) equal to about 5.0 microns.

Counter-torque implant

A bone plate system may include a bone plate having a bone-facing side, an obverse side displaced from the bone-facing side by a thickness of the bone plate, a first end, and second end displaced from the first end along a longitudinal length of the bone plate. The bone plate may have a first fastener hole extending through the bone plate between the bone-facing side and the obverse side, a second fastener hole extending through the bone plate between the bone-facing side and the obverse side, and a plug extending outwardly from the bone-facing side. The plug may have a cross-sectional shape, perpendicular to the thickness, that is elongated along the longitudinal length.
