ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT DESK HAVING A DEPLOYABLE FLOOR MAT
A desk includes a tabletop and at least one base member supporting the tabletop. A footrest is disposed on the at least one base member beneath the tabletop. The footrest is movable between a stowed position toward a back of the desk and a deployed position toward a front of the desk. At least one mechanism is disposed on the at least one base member and operatively coupled to the footrest. The at least one mechanism moving the footrest between the stowed and deployed positions. A floor mat is disposed with the footrest. The floor mat is movable with the footrest between a stowed mat position and a deployed mat position.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A system for adjusting the height of a workstation for use by a user, the system comprising a frame, a worktop vertically slidably attached to said frame and selectably adjustable in elevation to different positions, at least one drive mechanism mechanically connected between said frame and said worktop and arranged to selectively vertically displace the worktop with respect to said frame when activated, a processor controlling the drive mechanism to move the worktop to different positions, the processor monitoring at least one condition with respect to the worktop and, when the at least one condition is met, generating at least one reminder for a workstation user, the processor providing the reminder to a workstation user by driving the worktop through at least one small vertical displacement.
DESK
A desk has a base that rests on an underlying floor surface, a work surface that is supported by the base, and a seat that is rotatably connected to the base for rotation between a first position, located in a conventional position behind the desk so a person may sit at the desk, and a second position, located to one side of the desk so that a person may instead stand at the desk. The seat is adjustable radially relative to its axis of rotation, vertically up and down relative to the floor surface, and angularly toward its axis of rotation.

Adjustable footrest for adjustable-height desk
An adjustable desk has base members or sidewalls supporting the desk on a surface. Each sidewall has at least one support movably vertically relative to the sidewall. A tabletop is disposed above the base member and is supported on the supports. A footrest is disposed between the base members beneath the tabletop and can move between a back position toward a back of the desk and a front position toward a front of the desk. One or more mechanisms operatively couple to at least one of the supports and to the footrest. The one or more mechanisms move the at least one support vertically relative to the base member to raise and lower the tabletop relative to the sidewall. Likewise, the one or more mechanisms move the footrest between the back and front positions. Preferably, movement of the footrest is coordinated with the movement of the tabletop so that the footrest moves to the front position when the tabletop is raised for standing and moves to the back position when the tabletop is lowered for sitting.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A system for adjusting the height of a workstation for use by a user, the system comprising a frame, a worktop having an upper work surface, the worktop being vertically slidably attached to said frame and selectably adjustable in elevation to different positions including at least a first standing position and at least a first sitting position, at least one variable speed electrically-powered vertical-displacement drive mechanism connected between said frame and said worktop, said drive mechanism being arranged to selectively vertically displace the worktop with respect to said frame when said drive mechanism is activated and a processor controlling the drive mechanism to move the worktop to different positions, the processor controlling the drive mechanism to control the rate of worktop height displacement at various speeds including at least a first speed and a second speed that is different than the first speed, the processor controlling the rate of worktop height displacement at the first speed sometimes and at the second speed at other times.
Height-adjustable table and method of assembly
A height-adjustable table includes a first tabletop and a second tabletop. A first height adjustment mechanism is configured to vertically shift the first tabletop relative to a support surface on which the table is supported. A second height adjustment mechanism is configured to vertically shift the second tabletop relative to the support surface. The table also includes a base in direct contact with the support surface. Each of the first and second height adjustment mechanisms is directly coupled to the base.

Adjustable holder
A holder for utensils is manually adjustable, and capable of supporting a plurality of utensils in a range of positions from an upright position through an inverted position. The adjustments are incremental. The holder can be attached or mounted to a surface using a suction cup or through use of adhesive or other types of attachment methods. The utensils can be make up make up brushes, toothbrushes or paintbrushes, or other implements.
Lift mechanism systems and methods
The invention includes a display positioning assembly comprising a support, a display supported by the support, and a balance mechanism carried by the display and operatively connected to the support. The invention also includes an article for selectively exposing a display comprising a generally planar support surface having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. A balance mechanism operatively connected to a display may be positionable between a storage position proximate the first side of the generally planar support surface and an exposed position proximate the second side of the generally planar support surface. The invention also includes an assembly for arresting the free fall of an object. The assembly may comprise an outer slide in sliding or rolling engagement with an inner slide, and a brake comprising at least one pivot member may be coupled to the inner slide.
