A glenoid prosthesis includes a head portion and an anchor. The head portion includes a first surface adapted to contact a glenoid and an opposed second surface that is at least partially concave. The anchor extends from the first surface of the head portion and terminates at a distal end. At least one first circular member is disposed between the head portion and the distal end of the anchor and encircle the anchor. At least one second circular member is disposed between the head portion and the distal end of the anchor and encircles the anchor. The at least one first circular member is adapted to engage cortical bone of a glenoid and the at least one second circular member is adapted to engage cancellous bone of a glenoid when the glenoid prosthesis is implanted.

The stem may extend from the concave inner surface along a longitudinal axis of the implant, and may have an outward-facing surface disposed at a first angle relative to the longitudinal axis, at least one flute extending along the length, and at least one radial groove formed in the outward-facing surface. The implant may further include a plurality of rib members distributed about the stem member to connect the stem to the inner concave surface. Each of the rib members may have a distally-facing surface disposed at a second angle relative to the longitudinal axis.

A portion of the cone wall proximal to the first cutout includes an attachment feature. A first augment cone is positionable in the first cutout, the first augment cone including an attachment feature configured to mate with the attachment feature of the cone wall to attach the first augment cone into the first cutout. The main body cone can include a second cutout in the cone wall. In such systems, the modular augment cone system can include a second augment cone configured to mate with an attachment feature of the cone wall to attach the second augment cone into the second cutout.

HARD-TISSUE IMPLANT COMPRISING A BULK IMPLANT, A FACE, PILLARS, SLOTS, AND AT LEAST ONE SUPPORT MEMBER

Hard-tissue implants are provided that include a bulk implant, a face, pillars, slots, and at least one support member. The pillars are for contacting a hard tissue. The slots are to be occupied by the hard tissue. The at least one support member is for contacting the hard tissue. The hard-tissue implant has a Young's modulus of elasticity of at least 3 GPa, and has a ratio of the sum of (i) the volumes of the slots to (ii) the sum of the volumes of the pillars and the volumes of the slots of 0.40:1 to 0.90:1. Methods of making and using hard-tissue implants are also provided.

GLENOID IMPLANT ANCHOR POST

A method of fixating a prosthesis to a glenoid is disclosed. The method includes forming a bore in the glenoid; positioning the prosthesis adjacent the glenoid, where the prosthesis includes a head portion and an anchor extending from a rear surface of the head portion; wherein the anchor includes a first fin and a second fin proximal of the first fin; advancing the anchor into the bore until the first fin is implanted within cancellous bone; and further advancing the anchor in the bore until a proximal-facing surface of the second fin is implanted within cancellous bone and abuts cortical bone.

Stemless Metaphyseal Humeral Implant

A stemless prosthetic shoulder joint may include a prosthetic humeral head and a stemless base. The stemless base may include a collar and an anchor extending from the collar intended to anchor the base into the proximal humerus. The base may include a proximal collar having a proximal surface and a bone-engaging surface opposite the proximal surface. The collar may have a superior portion and an inferior portion, the superior portion defining an arc shape and the inferior portion defining a substantially triangular shape.
