The present invention prevents an absorbent body from twisting and splitting while maintaining the capability of fitting onto the buttocks of a wearer even when the absorbent body has a low fabric weight. The absorbent body (4) has a large number of compressed parts (20, 20, . . . ) formed in a region other than a region that extends in a widthwise center section along the longitudinal direction and includes portions corresponding to a body fluid excretion part (H) and the intergluteal cleft of the wearer. A region including a portion corresponding to the intergluteal cleft is an easily deformable region (21) without compressed parts (20). The easily deformable region (21) extends to an intermediate position in the longitudinal direction and does not reach the rear end of the absorbent body (4). The region extending behind the easily deformable region (21) to the rear end of the absorbent body (4) has compressed parts (20) formed thereon.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH HIGH ABSORBENT MATERIAL CONTENT

An absorbent article includes a longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core includes a combination of superabsorbent polymer and cellulose fibers. The article further includes an acquisition-distribution layer; and at least one channel positioned within a layer located between the topsheet and the backsheet, the at least one channel being substantially free of fibers and superabsorbent polymer. An indentation occurs in at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet that correspond to the at least one channels when the article is loaded with fluid.

A moisture absorbent material capable of biomedical application to absorb and manage bodily fluids such as blood and wound exudate as a wound or first aid dressing or bandage. The material is a psyllium foam based material offering high absorbency and potentially haemostatic characteristics.

Absorbent article with high absorbent material content

An absorbent article comprising a pair of leg cuffs with an raised section and an absorbent core comprising at least one channel at least partially oriented in the longitudinal direction of the article. The article may have a crotch width before use as measured between the proximal edges of the leg cuffs at the level of the crotch point of from to 70 mm to 200 mm, and a Relative Crotch Width Reduction (RCWR) of 32 mm/kg to 150 mm/kg.

Leg and flap elastic composite for an absorbent article and method of manufacturing same

An absorbent article having a front waist region, a back waist region, and a crotch region extending between and interconnecting the front and back waist regions. The article comprises an outer cover, a body-side liner, an absorbent assembly between the outer cover and the body-side liner, and leg and flap elastic composites including a containment flap portion and a gasket portion. Each of the composites are attached to the liner such that one of the composites is disposed adjacent one side edge of the liner and the other composite is disposed adjacent the other side edge of the liner, each of the composites extend longitudinally from the front waist region to the back waist region, and each of the composites have a deadened portion in the front waist region or the back waist region. The article further includes a waist elastic member extending longitudinally between the deadened portions.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE

An absorbent article (1) of the present invention includes a leg cuff (24). The leg cuff (24) has leg elastic members (25). The leg cuff (24) can be divided, by an imaginary line (IL) passing through the center (ct) between an outermost leg elastic member (25s) that is located farthest outward and an innermost leg elastic member (25i) that is located farthest inward, into a leg cuff first region (ST) that extends from the imaginary line (IL) up to and including the outermost leg elastic member (25s) and a leg cuff second region (IT) that extends from the imaginary line (IL) up to and including the innermost leg elastic member (25i). When the elongation amount of the leg cuff first region (ST) and the leg cuff second region (IT) in a natural state is defined as 0, and the elongation amount thereof in a maximally stretched state is defined as 100, the stress in the leg cuff first region (ST) is greater than the stress in the leg cuff second region (IT) when the elongation amount is 5. Moreover, the stress in the leg cuff second region (IT) is greater than the stress in the leg cuff first region (ST) when the elongation amount is 100.

FLEXIBLE SANITARY PAD FITTED TO THE GROIN

Provided is a flexible sanitary pad to solve the problems of leakage of menstrual blood of the conventional sanitary pad. The sanitary pad of the present invention includes an absorbent pad and a fluid guide. The fluid guide has a suspended portion positioned between a front fixed portion and a back fixed portion. The fluid guide also has and a tilted tail portion. The front fixed portion and the back fixed portion connect to the absorbent pad. The tilted tail portion is positioned at a back end of the back fixed portion. A head end of the tilted tail portion is more adjacent to the absorbent pad than a tail end of the tilted tail portion. The tail end of the tilted tail portion is suspended without touching the absorbent pad.

DISPOSABLE HYGIENE ARTICLE

Disposable hygiene article comprising a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core, flexible side flaps arranged on opposite sides of the absorbent core for attaching the article to a garment, and liquid side barriers arranged substantially along longitudinal edges of the absorbent core. The flexible side flaps each comprise at least a side layer which is secured to the topsheet by means of a seam, the seam partitioning the side layer in a first part and a second part with the first part extending from the seam towards the longitudinal centre axis and the second part extending from the seam away from said longitudinal centre axis. The first parts form the liquid side barriers.
