Absorbent article with containment barrier
An absorbent article to be worn about the lower torso, the absorbent article comprising a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a pair of longitudinal barrier cuffs attached to the chassis. Each longitudinal cuff is formed of a web of material, the web of material having first and second opposing surfaces. The web of material comprises a nonwoven component layer comprising fibers having a number-average diameter of less than about 1 micron, a mass-average diameter of less than about 1.5 microns, and a ratio of the mass-average diameter to the number-average diameter less than about 2. The absorbent article further comprises a hydrophobic coating disposed on at least one surface of the web of material such that a coated web of material is formed, the hydrophobic surface coating comprising a solventless, multicomponent silicone composition including at least two silicone polymers and being substantially free of aminosilicones.
Absorbent article including containment flaps
An absorbent article having a first and a second containment flap each having a stem, an inner flap projection, and an outer flap projection. The absorbent article can include a first and a second folding line for packaging each being substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The first and second containment flaps can be positioned in the absorbent article such that the distal end of the outer flap projections can be positioned laterally inside of each folding line, the distal ends of the inner flap projections can be positioned laterally outside of each folding line, or such that the first fold line extends through at least a portion of the inner or the outer flap projection of the first containment flap and the second fold line extends through at least a portion of the inner or the outer flap projection of the second containment flap.

Double gusset cloth diaper along with method for making the same
A double gusset cloth diaper including an inner surface and an outer surface forming an hourglass shape, having a groin area proximate a center line of the reusable diaper and defining at least one recess therebetween. A fluid absorbent material is removably located in the recess through the opening. A first gusset is attached to the reusable diaper to form a first seal between the inner surface and the legs of the user. A second gusset is attached to the reusable diaper proximate the first gusset. The gussets are formed of an elastic material attached to the wrong side of the inner surface in a channel formed by stitching the inner surface to form channels.
Absorbent article with high absorbent material content
An absorbent article includes a longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer. The article further includes an acquisition-distribution layer; and at least one channel positioned within a layer located between the topsheet and the backsheet, the at least one channel being substantially free of fibers and superabsorbent polymer. An indentation occurs in at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet that correspond to the at least one channels when the article is loaded with fluid.
Semipermanent menstrual pad
A semipermanent menstrual pad may include: a genital area cover configured to cover a female genital area and having a storage space recessed at a center of the genital area cover to store menstrual blood, and a lid part configured to cover an upper portion of the storage space to prevent the menstrual blood introduced into the storage space from leaking to the outside, in which the lid part is coupled to or separated from the genital area cover in an attachable/detachable manner and includes a through-hole through which the menstrual blood is introduced, and a first menstrual blood leak prevention projection formed along a boundary line of the through-hole and provided at a position spaced apart from the through-hole by a preset distance to primarily prevent the leak of the menstrual blood.
Absorbent article
An absorbent article (1) comprising a top sheet (2), a back sheet (3), an absorbent body (4) provided therebetween, and side sheets (5) provided on both sides of the top sheet (2) in a width direction, wherein; a leak-proof flap (6) is formed from a portion of the side sheet (5); the leak-proof flap (6) is configured such that a front end portion (6F) and a rear end portion (6B) are joined to the top sheet (2) at end fixing parts (8) and a middle portion (6M) stands up inward in the width direction; a flap elastic member (7) is provided on the leak-proof flap (6) so as to extend continuously from the front end portion (6F) to the rear end portion (6B), and the flap elastic member (7) is located inward in the width direction from the end fixing parts (8) at the front end portion (6F) and the rear end portion (6B).
