Controlling water release from a dimensionally stable aqueous composition
The invention relates to systems formed from closed liquid-tight packaging and a preferably dimensionally stable aqueous composition which is sealed therein and which, upon activation, releases a liquid phase essentially composed of water in a time-delayed manner. The invention further relates to methods for manufacturing such systems and the use thereof during the production of self-decomposing transdermal therapeutic systems (TTS).
Transdermal therapeutic system
The present invention concerns a transdermal therapeutic system, comprising a backing layer, which is not permeable for the active ingredient, and a matrix layer on one side of the backing layer, wherein the matrix layer contains at least one pressure sensitive adhesive and ketamine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, wherein the at least one pressure sensitive adhesive has free hydroxyl groups, as well as its use as medicament, in particular for the treatment of depression and pain.
ADHESIVE MATRIX WITH HYDROPHILIC AND HYDROPHOBIC DOMAINS AND A THERAPEUTIC AGENT
An adhesive matrix and adhesive formulation are described. The adhesive matrix is comprised of a hydrophilic domain and a hydrophobic domain, and a therapeutically active agent contained in the matrix in a supersaturated, stable, condition. The hydrophilic domain and the hydrophobic domain are co-soluble in a solvent system, to provide a homogeneous blend in which the active agent is solubilized. The proportion of the hydrophilic domain and hydrophobic domain is selected to optimize, or maximize, solubility of active agent in the matrix.
Systems and methods for long term transdermal administration
Devices, systems, compositions and methods for long term or prolonged transdermal administration of an active agent are provided.
Patch
In a patch comprising a support layer and an adhesive agent layer, the adhesive agent layer comprises free asenapine, a maleic acid alkali salt, and a rubber-based adhesive agent.
NOVEL COMPOSITIONS OF MATTER AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS
Pharmaceutical formulations of novel indole compounds and psilocybin analogs are manufactured, provided in novel oral, transdermal, and nasal pharmaceutical compositions for use to treat neurological, mood or abuse diseases and disorders.
Transdermal delivery formulation
The invention provides compositions and methods for delivering vitamin D to a human subject. In one embodiment the invention provides a transdermal patch for the transdermal administration of vitamin D comprising: (a) a backing layer that serves as the outer surface of the patch during use; (b) an adhesive drug reservoir layer for affixing the patch to human skin; and (c) a release liner, which upon removal exposes the adhesive drug reservoir layer. The adhesive drug reservoir layer can include vitamin D, a polymeric adhesive, an organic solvent, and a permeation enhancer.
Transdermal amphetamine compositions with low levels of carbamate
Described are methods for reducing the formation of amphetamine carbamate and amphetacarbamate in transdermal amphetamine compositions, compositions with low levels of amphetacarbamate, and methods using such compositions for transdermal delivery of amphetamine.
Fibre-free transdermal therapeutic system and method for its production
The present invention is directed to transdermal therapeutic systems that are free of fibrous constituents, as well methods for producing such transdermal therapeutic systems. A preparation containing active substance is applied by a printing method onto the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the transdermal therapeutic system. Exemplary printing methods include application methods based upon a distributor plate of an application device.
