THERAPEUTIC ELASTIC BANDAGE FOR MODULATING THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM
The invention provides articles of manufacture, compositions, and methods related to a therapeutic elastic bandage such as a kinesiology tape comprising a medicament to modulate the endocannabinoid system of a subject.
TRANSDERMAL THERAPEUTIC SYSTEM FOR THE TRANSDERMAL ADMINISTRATION OF BUPRENORPHINE COMPRISING A SILICONE ACRYLIC HYBRID POLYMER
The present invention relates to transdermal therapeutic systems (TTS) for the transdermal administration of buprenorphine comprising at least one silicone acrylic hybrid polymer.
TRANSDERMAL PATCH PROVIDING IMPROVED PERMEABILITY AND COMPOSITION
A transdermal patch contains a water-based solution containing electrolytes, vitamins, and at least one permeation enhancer. The water-based solution also acts as an adhesive matrix which binds the patch together. The solution is transferred to the body via an embossed release liner. In use, the permeation of electrolytes into the bloodstream improves the body's ability to manage hydration. The permeation enhancer increases the porosity of the skin in contact with the transdermal patch to make possible the permeation of the solution into the body. Critical proportions of solvent, solutes, and permeation enhancers are disclosed which have been found to make permeation of otherwise non-absorbable ingredients possible.
CALCIUM SILICATE-CONTAINING ACRYLIC ADHESIVE PATCH
A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide an adhesive patch, which contains an acrylic adhesive base material, is easy to handle, prevents cold flow independently of physical properties and concentrations while being kept in a packaging material or being adhered, and during storage, keeps the drug in the adhesive patch stable and maintains the suitable administration form of the drug over a long period so that the drug can provide sufficient medicinal effect for a long time. The present invention relates to an adhesive patch provided with a backing layer and an adhesive agent layer, the adhesive agent layer containing a drug, an acrylic adhesive base material, and calcium silicate. The present invention also relates to a method for producing the adhesive patch.
METHYLPHENIDATE-CONTAINING TRANSDERMAL PATCH
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a methylphenidate-containing transdermal patch in which cold flow beyond the edge of the patch containing methylphenidate is inhibited, and which has sufficient physical properties as a preparation, and excellent handleability. The present invention pertains to: a transdermal patch comprising a backing layer and an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer contains methylphenidate, a rubber-based adhesive agent, and an acrylic adhesive agent, and the mixing ratio of the rubber-based adhesive agent to the acrylic adhesive agent is 9:1 to 1:9, and a production method for the transdermal patch.
Methods and compositions for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety and insomnia using dexmedetomidine transdermal compositions
Aspects of the invention include methods of treating ADHD, anxiety or insomnia by applying a transdermal delivery device containing a dexmedetomidine composition formulated to deliver an amount of dexmedetomidine to a subject diagnosed as having ADHD, anxiety or insomnia. In practicing methods according to certain embodiments, a transdermal delivery device having a dexmedetomidine composition is applied to a subject and is maintained in contact with the subject in a manner sufficient to deliver an amount of dexmedetomidine sufficient to treat ADHD, anxiety or insomnia in the subject. Also provided are transdermal delivery devices configured to deliver an amount of dexmedetomidine sufficient for practicing the subject methods, as well as kits containing the transdermal delivery devices.
Acrylic polymers and their use in transdermal drug delivery
The present disclosure is directed to random, acrylic co-polymers that are useful in transdermal applications. Methods of making and using the described co-polymers are also described.
PRAMIPEXOLE TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND USES THEREOF
A pramipexole transdermal patch for treatment of neurological disorders including Parkinson's disease that may be administered on a daily basis. The pramipexole transdermal patch of the present invention preferably comprises a drug-containing layer that comprises pramipexole or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at 2% to about 15% by weight of the drugcontaining layer and at least two acrylic polymers wherein each polymer may further comprise carboxyl and/or hydroxyl functional groups. The pramipexole transdermal patch of the present invention may further comprise two or more permeation enhancers with combined pramipexole solubility of great than 50 mg/mL.
Systems and methods for long term transdermal administration
Devices, systems, compositions and methods for long term or prolonged transdermal administration of an active agent are provided.
APIXABAN TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure provides an apixaban transdermal patch for treatment of thrombosis and related disorders. The transdermal patch may be administered on a daily basis or a period of 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days or 7 days. The apixaban transdermal patch preferably comprises a drug-containing layer, or a reservoir layer that comprises apixaban or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at 0.1% to about 80% by weight of the drug-containing layer.
