The invention includes a display positioning assembly comprising a support, a display supported by the support, and a balance mechanism carried by the display and operatively connected to the support. The invention also includes an article for selectively exposing a display comprising a generally planar support surface having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. A balance mechanism operatively connected to a display may be positionable between a storage position proximate the first side of the generally planar support surface and an exposed position proximate the second side of the generally planar support surface. The invention also includes an assembly for arresting the free fall of an object. The assembly may comprise an outer slide in sliding or rolling engagement with an inner slide, and a brake comprising at least one pivot member may be coupled to the inner slide.
DISPLAY POSITIONING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Embodiments of the invention include an apparatus for positioning an electronic display. The apparatus can be combined with an existing work surface to provide a multi-position workstation. In some cases the apparatus includes a mounting portion configured to support an electronic display and a keyboard. The mounting portion may be movable with respect to the work surface between multiple positions, including for example, a sitting position and a standing position. Methods for positioning an electronic display and a keyboard are also included.
Image Projection Device
An image projection device which can correctly discern content of touch operation when a user performs various kinds of touch operation on an image projected on a projection screen is provided. An imaging unit is adjusted to come into focus on the projection screen. An image data extracting unit extracts image data in which a finger or the like exists and in which the finger or the like is brought into focus in image data obtained by the imaging unit. An operation determining unit determines content of operation performed with the finger or the like, on the basis of the image data extracted by the image data extracting unit. An input control unit recognizes content of an input instruction corresponding to the operation performed with the finger or the like, on the basis of data relating to the content of the operation performed with the finger or the like, position data of the finger or the like, and reference data for specifying a position and a size of the image projected on the projection screen, and controls a projection unit in accordance with the recognized content of the input instruction.
Display positioning apparatus and method
Described is an apparatus for positioning an electronic display. The apparatus can be combined with an existing work surface to provide a multi-position workstation. In some cases the apparatus includes a mounting portion configured to support an electronic display and a keyboard. The mounting portion may be movable with respect to the work surface between multiple positions, including for example, a sitting position and a standing position. A system includes a smart table comprising a display screen, a network interface, and a processing circuit, where the network interface is configured to facilitate data communication with a tactile input device, the processing circuit includes a processor and a memory and the processing circuit is configured to determine a location of the tactile input device on the smart table, and generate a user interface on the smart table based on the location of the tactile input device on the smart table such that the user interface of the smart table is aligned with and visible through a transparent screen of the tactile input device.

A system includes a smart table comprising a display screen, a network interface, and a processing circuit, where the network interface is configured to facilitate data communication with a tactile input device, the processing circuit includes a processor and a memory and the processing circuit is configured to determine a location of the tactile input device on the smart table, and generate a user interface on the smart table based on the location of the tactile input device on the smart table such that the user interface of the smart table is aligned with and visible through a transparent screen of the tactile input device.
Display and keyboard positioning apparatus, system, and method
Embodiments include an apparatus for positioning items such as an electronic display, a keyboard, and/or a work surface. The apparatus can be attached proximate an edge of a generally planar support member to provide a multi-position workstation. In some cases the apparatus includes a display mount coupled to a support column and configured to support an electronic display and a keyboard. The support column may be movable with respect to support member between a sitting position and a standing position. Methods for positioning an electronic display and a keyboard are also included.
