DRUG INJECTION DEVICE WITH RESETTABLE MECHANISM ALLOWING PISTON ROD RETRACTION UPON DRUG CARTRIDGE CHANGE
A drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The device comprises a housing, a dose setting element rotatable relative to the housing during dose setting and dose dispensing, a drive member coupled to the dose setting member via a clutch, and a piston rod coupled to the housing and to the drive member Further, the device further comprises a cartridge holder removably attached to the housing and a reset element, which is permanently rotationally constrained to the housing and rotationally constrained to the drive member during dose setting, and at least one spring acting on the reset element, such that, if the cartridge holder is detached from the housing, the reset element is axially moved relative to the housing into a position in which the drive member is allowed to rotate relative to the housing
DOSE SETTING MECHANISM AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH RATCHET MECHANISM
A dose setting mechanism comprising a first element and a second element; the first element being moveable with respect to the second element; the first element and the second element being coupled by a ratchet mechanism allowing motion of the first element with respect to the second element from a first position to a second position only in a first direction while preventing motion in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction; once passing the second position, the first element being moveable with respect to the second element in the first direction and in the second direction.
Clicker Arrangement and Drug Delivery Device Herewith
The present disclosure is generally directed to a clicker arrangement for use in a drug delivery device, i.e. a handheld injection device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The clicker arrangement comprises a first element rotatable at least in a first direction and a second, non-rotatable element. The first element is axially displaceable relative to the second element between a first position and a second position. One of the elements comprises a clicker arm and the other comprises a protrusion wherein upon rotation of the first element in the first direction relative to the second element the clicker arm is elastically deflectable in a radial direction by the protrusion and relaxable in the opposite radial direction upon disengagement with the protrusion thereby generating an audible and/or tactile feedback signal.
DRIVE MECHANISM OF AN INJECTION DEVICE
A drive mechanism of an injection device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament includes a body accommodating a cartridge filled with a medicament, an insert axially displaceable inside the body between a proximal operating position and a distal reset position, a piston rod to operably engage with a piston of the cartridge, a drive sleeve rotationally coupled with the piston rod and is rotationally lockable to the body for setting of a dose and rotationally releasable from the body for dispensing of a dose, respectively. The drive sleeve is axially displaceable relative to the body from a proximal operating position into a distal reset position through an axial connection of the insert and the drive sleeve, where the drive sleeve is rotationally released from the body when in the distal reset position.
The device comprises a housing, a dose setting element rotatable relative to the housing during dose setting and dose dispensing, a drive member coupled to the dose setting member via a clutch, and a piston rod coupled to the housing and to the drive member. Further, the device further comprises a cartridge holder removably attached to the housing and a reset element, which is axially constrained to the dose setting element, and at least one spring acting on the reset element, such that, if the cartridge holder is detached from the housing, the reset element is axially moved relative to the housing onto a position in which the dose setting element is rotationally constrained to the housing and the drive member is allowed to rotate relative to the housing.
Medicament delivery device
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a locking feature that reliably and consistently unlocks a dose injection button and concurrently a lead screw when the dose setting mechanism is transitioned from a non-activated state to an activated state. This locking feature uses dose member assembly having a rotational biasing element combined with concentric inner and outer sleeves interfacing with a locking member.
Housing and Drug Delivery Device Herewith
The present disclosure is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament and to a housing for such a device. The housing comprises an outer housing with a distal end and a cartridge holder with a proximal end, which, when the cartridge holder is attached to the outer housing, is inserted into the distal end of the outer housing. The outer housing is provided with a first fixture for axially constraining a further component part to the outer housing. When the cartridge holder is attached to the outer housing, the proximal end of the cartridge holder axially extends to the first fixture.
Medicament training device with plunger limiting mechanism
Embodiments including an injection device having a housing with an outer surface, an inner surface, a proximal end and a distal end, and a defining a chamber extending between the proximal end and the distal end are provided herein. The device may include a plunger having a first end and a second end, the plunger being movable proximally and distally within the chamber of the housing, the plunger comprising a plunger rod extending from the first end to the second end of the plunger; and a plunger limiting mechanism configured to interface with the plunger rod, to limit the proximal movement of the plunger and prevent removal of the plunger from the housing.
DOSING SYSTEM FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device for dispensing a dose of a product by manually advancing a piston rod includes a dosing and dispensing mechanism having a housing with a longitudinal axis, a dosing sleeve mounted in the housing for adjusting and correcting the dose, a housing insert fixed to the housing and arranged inside the dosing sleeve, and a coupling sleeve mounted in the housing for driving the piston rod. For setting and correcting a dose, the dosing sleeve is rotatable relative to the coupling sleeve, and for dispensing the dose, the dosing sleeve can be coupled to the coupling sleeve in a rotationally fixed manner. In this case, the coupling sleeve has a locking element which can interact with the housing insert so that the coupling sleeve can be rotated in a first direction of rotation and cannot be rotated in a second direction of rotation relative to the housing insert.
Medicament delivery device
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a pinion mounted to a locking member where the axis of rotation of the pinion is offset and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing containing the dose setting components. Primary and secondary dose members are engaged with the pinion to indicate a set dose of medicament.
