Multiple condition dosing system
A medicine dispensing device and system for administering a selected drug. The medicine dispensing device includes a vessel configured to retain a drug to be dispensed. The medicine dispensing device may comprise a first series of zones of varying widths on a surface of the vessel, with each zone of the first series of zones corresponding to a pre-determined dose of the drug for a first medical condition wherein the first series of zones are correlated to a first series of values of a physical characteristic of a patient; and a second series of zones of varying widths on the surface of the vessel, with each zone of the second series of zones corresponding to a pre-determined dose of the drug for a second medical condition wherein the second series of zones are correlated to a second series of values of the physical characteristic of a patient.
Drug delivery device including seal member for needle of syringe
Drug delivery devices and related methods of assembly are disclosed. The drug delivery device may include a housing, a container, a trigger member, and an interlock assembly. The trigger member may be selectively moveable relative to the housing to activate operation of at least one activatable element of the drug delivery device. The interlock assembly may include a lever mounted rotatably relative to the housing, a proximity sensor moveable between a first position extending beyond an exterior surface of the housing and a second position retracted toward the housing, and a rotational biasing member operably connected to the proximity sensor via the lever. When the proximity sensor is in the first position, the interlock assembly may limit movement of the trigger member relative to the housing. The rotational biasing member may be configured to exert a torque biasing the proximity sensor toward the first sensor position.
DELIVERY DEVICE
A delivery device includes a housing, a controller for setting a dose and a sensor mechanism for recording the dose set by the controller. The controller rotates with respect to the housing around a longitudinal axis and moves axially with respect to the housing along the longitudinal axis during dose setting. The sensor mechanism includes an electronics module and a dose setting sensor with a first sensor element and a second sensor element. The electronics module and the first sensor element are rotationally and axially fixed with respect to the controller and the second sensor element is rotationally fixed with respect to the housing and rotationally movable with respect to the controller. The first and second sensor element are at least temporarily positioned outside of the housing along the longitudinal axis during dose setting.
Injection Device Having Variable Dosing
An injection device for injecting medicament in a patient comprises a housing configured to house a fluid reservoir that has one of a plurality of volumes of medicament. An injection conduit fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir defines a fluid pathway from the fluid reservoir to the patient. A firing mechanism is coupled to the fluid reservoir and is configured to expel the medicament from the fluid reservoir through the injection conduit. A volume setting mechanism is coupled to the firing mechanism and is configured to select the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament for the firing mechanism to expel. A dose setting mechanism is configured to select all or a fraction of the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament that is injected from the injection conduit when the firing mechanism is actuated.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device with a housing configured to connect to a dispensing unit including a compartment containing a fluid, a piston rod configured to move in a proximal direction for ejecting the fluid, and a dosing mechanism including an actuation member to be actuated by a user. The device includes a conversion mechanism configured to convert a movement of the actuation member to a movement of the piston rod. The conversion mechanism includes a dose selector member, which is rotationally fixed to the housing and axially movable with respect to the housing, and a dosing member, which is rotationally movable with respect to the dose selector member. The drug delivery device includes a friction reduction mechanism provided between the dose selector member and the dosing member to reduce friction between the dose selector member and the dosing member.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A kit includes a drug delivery device and a dispensing unit. The drug delivery device includes a housing, a resetting element and a piston rod and the dispensing unit includes a cartridge holder. The cartridge holder is configured to be mounted to the housing and to receive a cartridge filled with a drug. The piston rod is configured to move in a proximal direction out of the housing to eject the drug and the resetting element is configured to rotate relative to the housing when no dispensing unit is attached to the housing and to thereby move the piston rod back into the housing. The dispensing unit is configured to press axially against the resetting element upon mounting to the housing to move the resetting element in the distal direction into the housing, and thereby rotationally lock the resetting element with respect to the housing.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device has a housing with a longitudinal axis, a dose setting member actuatable by a user and rotatable around the longitudinal axis to set a dose to be delivered by the drug delivery device, a piston rod that is configured to be axially advanced in a proximal direction to deliver the set dose, and a dosing member for defining the axial advancement of the piston rod upon delivery of the set dose. The dosing member is axially movable along the longitudinal axis and rotationally movable around the longitudinal axis during dose setting, and the dosing member is rotationally fixed to the dose setting member during dose setting. The dosing member includes a maximum dose stop that is configured to engage with a maximum stop feature provided at the housing to limit movement of the dosing member with respect to the housing upon setting a maximum dose.
Injection device comprising an improved delivery element
An injection device having a delivery element with an inner thread may be driven by rotation and includes a cylindrical outer wall region, which is substantially smooth. Such features provide a delivery element configured such that it is less intimidating to patients than known threaded rods, and may facilitate easy cleaning. The delivery element may be non-rotatably guided and axially spring-loaded, and may be inserted axially into the housing when the reservoir is replaced. The driving thread element for the delivery element may be mounted in the vicinity of the distal end of the housing.
Devices and methods for precision dose delivery
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for delivering a predetermined volume of a drug substance or other product including a fluid. An exemplary device may include a body configured to receive a drug substance therein, and a plunger rod disposed at least partially inside the body to distally move a stopper in the body. The device may include a component configured to regulate distal movement of the plunger rod in a priming step and in a subsequent delivery step, so that the device may be accurately primed and may accurately dispense a predetermined volume of a drug substance.

The present invention provides a drug injection device (1) for delivering multiple doses of drug, comprising: a housing (2) extending along a main axis, a dose expelling mechanism comprising a piston rod (60) configured to move relative to the housing (2) from a first position to a second position to cause ejection of a dose of drug, the piston rod (60) extending between a proximal piston rod end and a distal piston rod end and comprising a dosing track (63), the piston rod (60) further being movable relative to the housing (2) from an initial pre-use position to a final end stop position to cause accumulated ejection of a predefined total dose, a dosing track follower (17) fixed with respect to the housing (2) and adapted to travel the dosing track (63) during dose ejection, a dose setting mechanism operable to set the dose to be ejected by the dose expelling mechanism, electronic means (82, 90, 91, 92, 95) for registering a dose setting operation and for registering a dose size of an ejected dose, and a display (81) adapted to indicate a size of a current set dose, the electronic means (82, 90, 91, 92, 95) being configured to provide a first type of update of the display (81) responsive to dose changing operations of the dose setting mechanism, wherein the electronic means (82, 90, 91, 92, 95) is further configured to calculate a current accumulated dose from the dose sizes of registered ejected doses to thereby provide an updated value of a total amount of drug ejected, determine a current remaining dose by comparing the current accumulated dose and the predefined total dose, and provide a second type of update of the display (81) when during a dose increasing operation of the dose setting mechanism the current set dose exceeds the current remaining dose, the second type of update being different from the first type of update, and wherein the final end stop position is defined by a track end configuration of the dosing track (63) between the proximal piston rod end and the distal piston rod end.
