The method further includes providing, on the injector, a plurality of indicia only at prescribed doses of 50 μg, 100 μg, 150 μg and 200 μg settable via the dose setter without indicia between said prescribed doses; and permitting setting of a dose of the octreotide acetate by rotation of the variable dose setter, wherein the injector is configured to provide at least one audible feedback during the rotation.
Dose sensing mechanism in a medication delivery device
Medication delivery devices, sensing systems, and methods are disclosed for determining the relative axial and rotational movements of its members to determine the amount of a dose set and/or delivered by the medication delivery device. A sensing system comprises a barrel sensor system (100), a drive sleeve sensor system (130), and/or an axial sensor system (140). The barrel sensor system (100) is for detecting the absolute relative angular position of the barrel relative to the housing during dose setting. The drive sleeve sensor system (130) is for detecting the absolute relative angular position of the drive sleeve relative to the housing during dose delivery. The axial sensor system (140) is for detecting the relative axial positions of the dose dial relative to the housing during dose setting and delivery. A controller receives outputs from the sensor systems corresponding to the absolute relative positions to determine the actual amounts of dose set and delivered.

Assisted injection device for selectively injecting a composition contained in a medical container
The present disclosure relates to an assisted injection device for injecting a composition contained in a medical container. The injection device includes a main body adapted to receive a medical container in a fixed position relative to the main body. The main body includes an inner wall provided with a toothed surface. The injection device includes a piston. The piston includes a first part and a second part. The first part includes an inner spring-loaded piston rod, and an outer piston body extending coaxially around the inner spring-loaded piston rod. The second part is arranged between the inner spring-loaded piston rod and the outer piston body, and is provided with a pressing member. The injection device includes an actuator connected to the second part of the piston. The actuator is adapted to selectively move the second part between the proximal first position portion and the distal second position.
Metering container for metering viscous material components
The present invention relates to a metering container (100-1, 100-2) for metering a viscous material component (103-1, 103-2), comprising a piston (105-1, 105-2) for pressing the material component (103-1, 103-2) from a storage container (111-1, 111-2) into a metering chamber (107-1, 107-2); and a metering plunger (109-1, 109-2) for indicating a quantity of the material component (103-1, 103-2) in the metering chamber (107-1, 107-2), via which the material component (103-1, 103-2) can be dispensed from the metering chamber (107-1, 107-2).
Assembly for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device
An assembly for a drug delivery device includes a housing, a rotation member, a drive member and at least one correction member. In a delivery mode, the drive member and the rotation member are coupled such that the drive member follows rotational movement of the rotation member in a first rotational direction. In a correction mode, the rotation member and the drive member are decoupled such that the rotation member is rotatable in the first rotational direction with respect to the drive member. For switching from the delivery mode into the correction mode, the correction member is moveable with respect to the housing, wherein the assembly is configured such that movement of the correction member with respect to the housing is converted into a relative movement between the drive member and the rotation member for decoupling the drive member and the rotation member.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH GEAR SET DOSAGE SYSTEM
A medication delivery device is disclosed including a rack-and-pinion plunger drive system. The drive system includes an output drive having a pawled end movably coupled with the ratchet teeth of the plunger, and a pinion drive coupled between the housing, the output drive and an actuator. Actuator is longitudinally movable between dose set and delivery positions. Movement of the actuator causes rotation of the pinion drive along the rack to translate the output drive member with the pawled end that is engaged with the plunger ratchet teeth to distally advance the plunger. The device may include one or more of an end of dose mechanism to limit travel of the actuator, a load brake system to stop travel of the plunger under high input forces, a dose detection system, and a dose selector to vary the amount of dose set.

An injector for delivering liquid can include a body having a proximal end, a distal end, a longitudinal axis, and a track follower adjacent to the proximal end. A plunger can be disposed at least partially within the body and movable with respect to the body along the longitudinal axis. An actuator can be positioned at the proximal end of the body and operably connected to the plunger. The actuator can include a track having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion can limit travel of the actuator along the longitudinal axis to deliver a first predetermined amount of the liquid. The second portion can limit travel of the actuator along the longitudinal axis to deliver a second predetermined amount of the liquid. The actuator can be positionable to selectively control displacement of the plunger pursuant to the first portion or the second portion of the track.
