Safety syringe and methods for administration of a medicament dose by subject weight
An apparatus includes a syringe body and a plunger. The syringe body defines a volume configured to contain a medicament. A proximal end portion of the syringe body includes an engagement portion, and a distal end portion of the syringe body includes a delivery tip. A side wall of the syringe body includes a transparent window. The plunger has a distal end portion configured to move within the volume of the syringe body to convey the medicament. An engagement portion of the plunger is configured to interface with the engagement portion of the syringe body to limit rotation of the plunger about a longitudinal axis of the plunger. An outer surface of the plunger includes a series of indicia, at least one which is visible through the transparent window.
AUTOMATIC APPLICATOR FOR LIQUID PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATIONS, PARTICULARLY FOR INSULIN
An injection device includes a housing with an inspection window and at least two springs. One of the at least two springs is a driving helical spring. A spring block is connected to the housing and secured against rotation relative to the housing. A coupling tube extends above the spring block and above the housing. The injection device includes a plunger at least partially surrounded by the coupling tube. The driving helical spring is connected to the spring block. The coupling tube is at least partially surrounded by the driving helical spring. At least a portion of the proximal end of the plunger is narrower than a first internal diameter of the coupling tube and wider than a second internal diameter of the coupling tube. The rotatable dose knob, the spring block, the coupling tube, the plunger, and the driving helical spring are arranged coaxially.
Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device is presented having a housing, a rotation member that rotates in a first direction with respect to the housing during setting of a dose of a medication and rotates in a second direction with respect to the housing during delivery of the dose, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The device also has a piston rod that is displaced in a distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose, a drive member which follows rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose, and a stop member which prevents rotational movement of the drive member with respect to the housing in the first direction during setting of the dose.
DEVICE FOR THE DOSED ADMINISTRATION OF A FLUID PRODUCT, ADAPTED FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A CONTAINER
A device for administering a fluid product includes a first housing part with a receiver for the product, a second housing part detachably connectable to the first housing part, a piston rod held such that it can be displaced for the exertion of an emptying movement, an actuatable or releasable drive element for the piston rod, a coupling element including a coupling input element that couples the drive element to the piston rod in a coupling engagement, transmits a driving force of the drive element to the piston rod, and triggers the emptying movement, and a decoupling element displaceably connected to the second housing part and coupled to the first housing part such that it is displaced, by a movement of the housing parts in relation to each other when the housing parts are separated into a decoupling position wherein the piston rod is decoupled from the coupling input element.
Dispensing mechanism for a medical device
A dispensing mechanism for administering a dosage of a medicament includes dosage setting means (7) for setting the dosage of a medicament to be administered; expelling means (15) for expelling a medicament from a medicament container; and coupling means (21) operatively coupled with the dosage setting means (7) and the expelling means (15), wherein the coupling means (21) is arranged to convert displacement of the dosage setting means (7) into a displacement of the expelling means (15) in a first direction, wherein the expelling means (15) includes a ratchet means (18a, 18b), and wherein the mechanism includes a first and a second independently moveable resisting pawl (14a, 14b) means facing a common side of the ratchet means (18), the first and the second resisting pawl means (14a, 14b) being configured to engage with the ratchet means (18a, 18b) and resist displacement of the expelling means (15) in a second direction opposite to said first direction.
Drug delivery device
Disclosed herein is a syringe device comprises (a) an outer housing, (b) a barrel, (c) a stopper, and (d) a plunger with one or more grooves.
Assembly for a drug delivery device
An assembly for a drug delivery device is provided, the assembly having an actuator which is configured to perform a setting movement in a proximal direction in order to set a dose of a drug, and which is configured to perform a dispense movement in a distal direction in order to dispense a dose of a drug. The assembly further having a stop mechanism acting after a maximum amount of a drug has been delivered, which is configured to axially constrain the setting movement of the actuator such that the setting of a dose is inhibited, wherein a limited axial movement of the actuator is allowed.
Syringe Assembly Having a Flexible or Slidable Flange
A syringe assembly having a flexible and/or slidable flange is provided, wherein in a pre-use or packaged state, the flange is positioned substantially parallel to a barrel of the syringe assembly resulting in the syringe assembly having a smaller packaging footprint. The smaller packaging footprint allows for a reduced storage space of the syringe assembly. Upon removal from a packaging and/or the storage space, the flange can be slid and locked into place such that the flange extends in a perpendicular direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the barrel of the syringe assembly to allow for a traditional operation of the syringe assembly.
