The example adjustable height platform provides a first stage of uprights coupled to a lower platform and a second stage of uprights coupled to a lower platform. The first and second stage are coupled by a bracket with three pivot points. A first lower upright and a first upper upright couple to distinct pivot points on the bracket and a second lower upright and second upper upright couple to a common pivot point on the bracket. A first-to-second stage transfer mechanism transfer rotation force from the first stage of uprights to the second stage of uprights. The upper platform includes a height fixing mechanism release to interface with a height fixing mechanism coupled to the first upper upright to fix the height of the adjustable height platform.

The platform has a base, a column and a mounting bracket for mounting interchangeable accessory modules. The universal mounting bracket has a mechanical mounting interface for mounting and dismounting interchangeable accessory modules. The platform has electrical functionality. The platform also has an identification interface for identifying an accessory module mounted on the platform and a control unit. The control unit is adapted to receive identification information about an accessory module mounted on the platform from the identification interface and to control an adaptation of the electrical functionality of the platform depending on the received identification information.

The invention relates to a platform for a variably adaptable piece of furniture and to a piece of furniture with such a platform. The platform has a base, a column and a mounting bracket for mounting interchangeable accessory modules. The universal mounting bracket has a mechanical mounting interface for mounting and dismounting interchangeable accessory modules. The platform has electrical functionality. The platform also has an identification interface for identifying an accessory module mounted on the platform and a control unit. The control unit is adapted to receive identification information about an accessory module mounted on the platform from the identification interface and to control an adaptation of the electrical functionality of the platform depending on the received identification information.

A height adjustment system includes a first controller to control a first drive assembly of an adjustable desk frame and a second controller to control a second drive assembly of an adjustable monitor mount. The first controller is communicatively coupled to the second controller to synchronize activation of the first controller and the second controller such that an adjustment of a height of the desk frame causes a corresponding adjustment of a viewing height of the monitor mount and an adjustment of the viewing height of the monitor mount causes a corresponding adjustment of the height of the desk.

Embodiments of the invention include an apparatus for positioning an electronic display. The apparatus can be combined with an existing work surface to provide a multi-position workstation. In some cases the apparatus includes a mounting portion configured to support an electronic display and a keyboard. The mounting portion may be movable with respect to the work surface between multiple positions, including for example, a sitting position and a standing position.
