DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING A DOSAGE WITH A LIMITING MECHANISM FOR A DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A PRODUCT
Dosing device for an administration device with a limiting mechanism, comprising a first limiting means with a first stop means, a second limiting means with a second stop means, wherein the second limiting means follows movements of the first limiting means during dosing movements with a defined transmission ratio, and wherein the first and the second stop means each describe a path curve by their movements in such a manner that the two path curves intersect in at least one point or come so close together that the stop means contact one another in a stop position, whereby a blocking of the movement of the limiting means relative to each other during dosing movements can be effected in that the respective path curves described by the first and second stop means are closed and can be run through preferably multiple times by the first stop means, by the second stop means or by both stop means until the stop means contact one another at the stop position.
Fixed Dose Injector Pen
A fixed dose injector pen comprises a transmission element 30 that is rotated to set and deliver a dose of a drug from a multi-dose cartridge 8. A circular ratchet 34 defines a small number of engagement positions around its circumference and selectively transmits the rotation of the transmission element 30 to a piston rod driver 24. Specifically, the circular ratchet 34 transmits the rotation of the transmission element 30 to the piston rod driver 24 only when the transmission element 30 is rotated in a dose delivery direction, and only if the transmission element 30 has previously been rotated in an opposite, dose setting direction through an angle sufficient to reach one of the engagement positions. Preferably, an axially moving injector element 4 is used to drive rotation of the transmission element 30 via a helical coupling 31, 32. When the piston rod 16 has advanced to a predetermined axial position, a last dose lock-out mechanism 42, 44 maintains the circular ratchet 34 in engagement to prevent a further dose being set.
Injection Device Having Variable Dosing
An injection device for injecting medicament in a patient comprises a housing configured to house a fluid reservoir that has one of a plurality of volumes of medicament. An injection conduit fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir defines a fluid pathway from the fluid reservoir to the patient. A firing mechanism is coupled to the fluid reservoir and is configured to expel the medicament from the fluid reservoir through the injection conduit. A volume setting mechanism is coupled to the firing mechanism and is configured to select the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament for the firing mechanism to expel. A dose setting mechanism is configured to select all or a fraction of the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament that is injected from the injection conduit when the firing mechanism is actuated.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH FLEXIBLE DOSE SELECTION
An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism is presented where the dose setting mechanism contains a dose selector having one or more dose stops corresponding to a finite set of predetermined fixed doses, where the set of finite predetermined fixed doses includes a lowest fixed dose and one or more higher fixed doses, and where at least one of the one or more higher fixed doses is equal to the lowest fixed dose plus a fractional amount of the lowest fixed dose. The dose setting mechanism can further include a floating spline that is rotationally engaged with a snap element such that the snap element can rotate relative to the floating spline during both dose setting and dose delivery.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH FLEXIBLE DOSE SELECTION

The dose setting mechanism can further include a floating spline that is rotationally engaged with a snap element such that the snap element can rotate relative to the floating spline during both dose setting and dose delivery.
SYRINGE HAVING AT LEAST ONE RADIALLY-OUTWARDLY EXTENDING PANEL
A syringe is provided herein for injecting medication into a patient, the syringe including a tubular barrel having opposing inner and outer surfaces, an open proximal end, and a distal end having a wall extending thereacross. An opening is defined in the wall with a needle mount extending distally from the wall about the opening. A first panel extends radially outwardly from the outer surface of the barrel, the first panel having opposing first and second faces. Further, a first scale including a series of spaced-apart first graduations is disposed on the first face of the first panel. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a syringe may be provided having a planar portion, in addition to its barrel, with graduations marked thereon for improved viewing by a practitioner in determining a proper dose amount.
Delivery Device
The present invention relates to a delivery device for delivering predetermined amounts of fluid, comprising a body (10), a container (16) filled with fluid to be delivered arranged inside said body, said container comprising an opening for expelling said fluid and a wall (18) movable inside said container (16), a threaded plunger rod (46) arranged movable inside said body (10) in the longitudinal direction and in contact with said movable wail (18), a manually operated push means (14, 60) movable in the longitudinal direction capable of, upon operation, move said plunger rod (46) towards said movable wall (18), thereby expelling fluid, and means for transforming a generally linear movement of said push means (14, 60) to a rotational movement of said plunger rod (46).
