A device for administering a fluid product includes a first housing part with a receiver for the product, a second housing part detachably connectable to the first housing part, a piston rod held such that it can be displaced for the exertion of an emptying movement, an actuatable or releasable drive element for the piston rod, a coupling element including a coupling input element that couples the drive element to the piston rod in a coupling engagement, transmits a driving force of the drive element to the piston rod, and triggers the emptying movement, and a decoupling element displaceably connected to the second housing part and coupled to the first housing part such that it is displaced, by a movement of the housing parts in relation to each other when the housing parts are separated into a decoupling position wherein the piston rod is decoupled from the coupling input element.
Injection pen
An injection method is provided for using an injection pen, the injection pen comprising a housing, a lead screw axially moveable in the housing, a dose set member for dose setting and dose correcting, threadably connected to the housing and having a first mating feature, a setback member having a second mating feature for engaging the first mating feature, a clicker that generates an audible or tactile indication during operation, the clicker being operatively connected to the dose set member, and a push button operatively connected to the setback member to cause the second mating feature to engage the first mating feature during an injection, the push button receiving the clicker, wherein the first mating feature is disengaged from the second mating feature during the dose setting and the dose correcting and engaged with the second mating feature during the injection.
Spring assisted drug delivery device
A spring assisted drug delivery device is provided comprising a housing and a lead screw having a longitudinal axis, a distal end and a proximal end that is rotatably fixed during dose setting and dose delivery and axially movable in a distal direction relative to the housing. The device further comprises a drive nut threadedly engaged and screwable along the lead screw threaded shaft and a number sleeve threadedly engaged with the housing to be screwable relative to the housing. A dial link is connected with the drive nut and axially movable and rotatably fixed relative to the drive nut and an inner sleeve is threadedly engaged with the number sleeve, the inner sleeve being axially movable and rotatably fixed relative to the housing. A mid-body is axially fixed inside of the housing. A spring is provided that assists a user of the device during a dose administration step.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH CLUTCH FEATURE
A drug delivery device comprising or adapted to receive a drug-filled cartridge, comprising a piston rod adapted to be rotated by a drive member to thereby move the piston rod distally during expelling, dose setting means allowing a user to simultaneously set a dose amount to be expelled, and a releasable locking mechanism adapted to rotationally lock the drive member relative to the housing during dose setting. The device further comprises release means actuatable between a dose setting mode and an expelling mode, wherein the locking mechanism is released when the release means is actuated from a dose setting mode to an expelling mode.
Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device is presented having a housing, a rotation member that rotates in a first direction with respect to the housing during setting of a dose of a medication and rotates in a second direction with respect to the housing during delivery of the dose, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The device also has a piston rod that is displaced in a distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose, a drive member which follows rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose, and a stop member which prevents rotational movement of the drive member with respect to the housing in the first direction during setting of the dose.
Administration instrument for medical use
An administration instrument includes an injection button which can be pressed at an angle that is not parallel to a needle with respect to a direction in which the needle is inserted into skin. As a result, it is possible to prevent a force of pressing the injection button from being transmitted in the direction in which the needle is inserted into the skin deeper than initial insertion of the needle, thereby achieving an administration under a stable state.
Method for assembling a drive spring and drug delivery device with a spring
A method for assembling a drive spring, especially into a drug delivery device includes rotating a component part to which the drive spring is attached in a first direction, followed by a rotation of the component part in the opposite direction and followed by attachment of a rotational stop. Further, the disclosure includes a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament, which device comprises a pre-charged drive spring.
Drive mechanism for a delivery device
A drive mechanism for a delivery device is presented. The drive mechanism comprises a housing (24) and a piston rod (6) having a longitudinal axis (x) and a piston rod feature (17). The drive mechanism further comprises a drive member (1) being movable with respect to the housing (24). The drive member (1) comprises a drive feature (15). The drive feature (15) is selectively engageable with the piston rod feature (17) by the radial displacement of the drive member (1) with respect to the piston rod (6). When the drive member (1) is in the first position, the drive member (1) is disengaged from the piston rod (6), and when the drive member (1) is in the second position, the drive feature (15) is engaged with the piston rod feature (17). When the drive member (1) moves distally with respect to the housing (24), said distal movement is transferred to the piston rod (6) such that the piston rod (6) moves distally with respect to the housing (24).
