A medicament delivery device having a housing, arranged to accommodate a medicament container and a power unit, where the power unit has a plunger rod, a drive spring, operably arranged to act on the plunger rod and on said medicament container, an actuator having holding elements that can releasably hold the plunger rod with said drive spring in a tensioned state, and an actuator sleeve operably connected to said actuator for releasably locking said holding elements in a holding state. The medicament delivery device also can have a medicament delivery member guard slidably movable in said housing that can act on said actuator sleeve for setting said holding elements with said actuator sleeve in a first activation state; an activator unit arranged to be manually operated and which is operably connected to said plunger rod for setting said holding elements with said actuator sleeve in a second activation state.

A medication injection pen, including a housing, a dose set knob (DSK) comprising an internal thread and an internal key proximate to a distal end of the internal thread, and a dose stop member comprising an external thread engaging the internal thread of the dose set knob. Rotation of the dose set knob to set a medication dose causes lateral translation of the dose stop member with respect to the dose set knob, and when the dose set knob is rotated to a last dose setting position, the dose stop member rotationally abuts the internal key thereby preventing further rotational movement of the dose set knob in a dose setting direction.

A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve, and a drive sleeve. A clutch is configured to permit rotation of the drive sleeve and the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are coupled through the clutch. Conversely, when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are in a de-coupled state, rotation of the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing is permitted and rotation of the drive sleeve with respect to the housing is prevented. In the de-coupled state, axial movement of the drive sleeve transfers force in a longitudinal direction for actuation of a drug delivery device.

A dispensing mechanism for delivering a dosage of medicament including a housing, a push button, a crank arm that is slideably engageable with the push button, a ram, and a ratchet gear releasably engageable with the crank arm and ram, translation of the push button along an axis causing the crank arm to engage and rotate the ratchet gear which causes the ram to distally advance relative to the housing.

An assembly for a drug delivery device and an associated drug delivery device are provided. The device has a drug delivery device housing and a medicament contained in the drug delivery device housing. A clutch is established between the dose knob and the dial link to prevent inadvertent proximal axial movement of the lead screw away from the cartridge piston, which can lead to dosing inaccuracies.

A medicament delivery device is presented having a body, an axially biased plunger rod provided with a first external thread, an activation member arranged to activate the plunger rod, a tubular medicament scale member receiving the activation member, which tubular medicament scale member is rotatable relative to the body and provided with a visual medicament dose scale, a stop nut that receives the plunger rod, where the stop nut is provided with an internal thread engaging with the first external thread of the plunger rod, and a gear train arrangement. The gear train arrangement couples the stop nut to the tubular medicament scale member for transferring rotational motion of the stop nut to the tubular medicament scale member to convey a measure of axial movement of the plunger rod to provide an indication, on the visual medicament dose scale, of an amount of expelled medicament.

The present disclosure relates to a drive mechanism for an injection device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament, the drive mechanism including a tubular shaped housing component extending in an axial direction (z) and comprising an inner thread, a tubular shaped display member having an outer thread engaged with the inner thread, and a dose member axially displaceable between a dose setting position (S) and a dose dispensing position relative to the display member, wherein the display member includes at least one blocking member on its outer circumference to axially engage with a blocking structure on an inside facing sidewall portion of the housing component to block an axial displacement of the dose member from the dose setting position (S) towards the dose dispensing position.

A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.

An assembly includes a cartridge containing doses of a drug and a piston rod adapted and arranged to expel drug from the cartridge, the piston rod including a thread. The assembly further includes a nut member adapted and arranged to be rotated with respect to the piston rod about a rotational axis. The assembly further comprises a last dose stop mechanism adapted including at least one first interaction member and at least one second interaction member provided by the piston rod and at least one first stop member and at least one second stop member provided by the nut member. The interaction members and the stop members are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another such that further relative movement of the nut member and the piston rod for setting a dose of the drug is prevented.

The present disclosure is generally directed to a resettable drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drug delivery device comprises a housing, a cartridge holder releasably attached to the distal end of the housing, a piston rod engaging a housing insert and a drive member, a dose setting member guided within the housing to allow rotation of the dose setting member during dose setting and dose dispensing, a clutch for rotationally coupling the drive member and the dose setting member, and a locking element which is rotationally constrained to the housing and is axially movable relative to the housing between a proximal dose setting position and a distal resetting position.
