The engaging screw thread arrangement includes at least one thread segment and a pitch guide including a variable pitch thread. At least a portion of the longitudinally extending channel of the housing including one of the pitch guide and the at least one thread segment, and the plunger includes the other of the pitch guide and the at least one thread segment. The plunger resides at least partially within the housing with the at least one thread segment engaged with the pitch guide. An accurate dose drug delivery syringe includes such a dose control mechanism, a barrel, a plunger seal, and a barrel adapter assembly having a barrel tip and a needle. The syringe may be a fill-at-time-of-use syringe, a pre-filled syringe, or a safety syringe having integrated needle retraction or needle sheathing safety features, or a combination thereof. Methods of assembly, manufacturing, and operation are similarly disclosed.
Resettable drug delivery device
A drive member for driving a piston rod in a drug delivery device is provided. The drive member is configured to be driven in a rotational movement by an actuating member. The drive member comprises a track for transmitting a driving load from the actuating member to the drive member. The track comprises both sections running in a distal and sections running in a proximal direction of the drive member. Moreover, a drug delivery device comprising such a drive member is provided.
State Changing Appliance for Drug Delivery Device
A system comprising a state changing appliance and a drug delivery device, the state changing appliance comprising first interface means for rotationally locking to a first exterior portion of the drug delivery device, second interface means for rotationally locking to a second exterior portion of the drug delivery device, the first exterior portion and the second exterior portion being angularly displaceable relative to one another from a first relative position to a second relative position, which second relative position defines a set dose to be expelled by the drug delivery device, and limiter means for limiting a relative angular displacement between the first interface means and the second interface means.
Pharmaceutical injection device
This pharmaceutical injection device may be provided with a main body case, a pharmaceutical syringe mounting portion, a piston, a piston feed screw or the like, and a cover. At a first end, the main body case may have an injection needle mounting portion to which an injection needle is mounted. The pharmaceutical syringe mounting portion may be provided inside the main body case, and a pharmaceutical syringe may be mounted thereto. The piston may be provided movably with respect to the pharmaceutical syringe that is mounted to the pharmaceutical syringe mounting portion. The piston feed screw or the like drives the piston. The cover may be provided on the first end side of the main body case and operates to open and close the injection needle mounting portion.
A SYRINGE
A syringe including a barrel, a plunger moveably arranged within said barrel and a plunger rod for driving said plunger is provided. The syringe includes a first engagement member arranged at the plunger rod such that a longitudinal movement of the plunger rod yields a rotational movement of said first engagement member, said first engagement member including a grooved surface, and a second engagement member arranged at the barrel to engage with said grooved surface of the first engagement member such that feedback is given to a user as the plunger rod is moved relative to the barrel for driving said plunger. Wherein, for a given distance D travelled by the plunger rod relative to the barrel, a point of the grooved surface of the first engagement member moves a distance d, wherein dD.
