An injection apparatus (2) comprising a housing (4) and an injector sub-assembly (6), wherein the injector sub-assembly is located within the housing; the injector sub-assembly includes a needle (20), a syringe barrel (18) and a piston (40) located within the syringe barrel; the injector sub-assembly is slidably mounted within the housing between an operative configuration in which at least a portion of the needle projects from the housing, and a retracted configuration in which the injector sub assembly is wholly located within the housing; and wherein the housing includes a housing body and needle exit door (44) pivotally connected to the body such that the door closes a needle exit aperture defined by the housing body when the injector sub-assembly is in its retracted configuration and opens when the injector sub-assembly is in its operative configuration to permit the needle to exit the housing.

Medicine injection device

According to an embodiment, a cartridge driving module comprises a motor and a shaft extending along a rotational axis of the motor, a power transmission screwed to the shaft and moving forward when the shaft rotates in a forward direction and moving back when the shaft rotates in a backward direction, a pusher connected to the power transmission and exerting a pressure to a medicine cartridge containing a medicine when the power transmission moves forward, and a position maintaining unit exerting an external force to the power transmission in a direction along which the power transmission moves forward, when the power transmission moves back up to a predetermined stop position.

Pen-type injector

The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose-cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a piston rod adapted to operate through the housing, a dose dial sleeve located between the housing and the piston rod, and a drive sleeve located between the dose dial sleeve and the piston rod. The dose dial sleeve may have a helical thread of first lead and the drive sleeve may have a helical groove of second lead. The first lead of the helical thread and the second lead of the helical groove may be the same.

MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE INCLUDING DISPOSABLE AND REUSABLE PORTIONS
20230310753 · 2023-10-05 ·

A medication delivery device includes a disposable portion and a reusable portion. The disposable portion includes a therapeutic agent delivery assembly, and the therapeutic agent delivery assembly includes a needle. The therapeutic agent delivery assembly is translatable from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration. The reusable portion includes a first rack and pinion mechanism and a second rack and pinion mechanism. The first rack and pinion mechanism is actuatable to translate the therapeutic agent delivery assembly from the stowed configuration to the deployed configuration. The second rack and pinion mechanism is actuatable to translate a plunger and thereby cause the therapeutic agent delivery assembly to deliver a therapeutic agent from the needle.

INJECTOR SYSTEMS AND SYRINGE ADAPTERS FOR USE THEREWITH

An adapter for releasably attaching a syringe to an injector. The adapter comprises a mounting mechanism positioned at a rear end of the adapter to mount the adapter in a desired position relative to a front wall of the injector; and a syringe carrier section adapted to seat at least a portion of the syringe. The syringe carrier section defines a first opening on a top thereof to allow placement of the syringe therein from the top and a second opening in a rear section thereof to allow the drive member of the injector to communicate forward force to the plunger. A cover portion extends over a rearward end of the first opening and has a first end configured to abut the flange of the syringe when the syringe is positioned within the syringe carrier section.

Medication delivery device

A medication delivery device and/or dosing mechanisms suitable for use in medication delivery devices, in particular in pen-type injectors, preferably having a dose setting system and a drive device enabling the administration of a medicinal product from a single- or multi-dose medication cartridge.

Precision low-dose, low-waste syringes and ergonomic attachments therefor

Precision low-dose, low-waste syringe configurations have a reduced diameter lumen for dispensing 0.01 ml increments of contents. Plunger and lumen configurations and a needle interface eliminate dead space. Ergonomic attachments improve the control and precision of delivery of syringes. An attachment main body includes a gripping surface to permit a user to engage the attachment and move the attachment main body, and thus the syringe plunger relative to the syringe barrel using sliding movement. Optical enhancement features are provided on the attachment to improve the readability of gradations and plunger position. The attachment may be provided with an assist feature, which may be a traction wheel mounted on the attachment body. An alternative configuration suitable for syringe contents of higher viscosity may include a pair of toothed pinion gears on a wheel and which cooperate with respective toothed racks formed on or fastened to the syringe body.

ACCURATE, PRECISE MICROLITER DOSING SYRINGE

A method of delivering a dose from a single dose syringe includes applying a user input to a rotational component of a plunger rod assembly that is engaged with a plunger rod of the plunger rod assembly to advance a plunger seal in a direction parallel to an axis of rotation of the rotational component from an initial position towards a start of dose delivery position, and upon disengagement of the rotational component from the plunger rod, applying an axial user input to the plunger rod of the plunger rod assembly to advance the plunger seal from the start of dose delivery position to a completion of dose delivery position to deliver the dose, wherein the completion of dose delivery position is defined by abutment between the plunger rod and a housing of the plunger rod assembly.

DELIVERY DEVICE
20230355884 · 2023-11-09 ·

A delivery device includes a housing, a controller for setting a dose and a sensor mechanism for recording the dose set by the controller. The controller rotates with respect to the housing around a longitudinal axis and moves axially with respect to the housing along the longitudinal axis during dose setting. The sensor mechanism includes an electronics module and a dose setting sensor with a first sensor element and a second sensor element. The electronics module and the first sensor element are rotationally and axially fixed with respect to the controller and the second sensor element is rotationally fixed with respect to the housing and rotationally movable with respect to the controller. The first and second sensor element are at least temporarily positioned outside of the housing along the longitudinal axis during dose setting.
