AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate tubular case and a carrier subassembly including a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case. The carrier is adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle, a drive spring, and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier, wherein the drive spring acts between the carrier and the plunger, wherein the plunger, in an initial state, is locked to the carrier by a ramped engagement to the carrier and by being prevented from rotating out of this ramped engagement, depending on a relative longitudinal position of the carrier in the case, and wherein the plunger is arranged to be released for rotating out of the ramped engagement.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DELIVERING SUBCUTANEOUS DOSE THROUGH MULTIPLE INJECTIONS
A device for administering needle-free subcutaneous treatment to a patient comprises an actuator configured to deliver a plurality of volumes of a treatment at a plurality of locations on a body of the patient; at least one imaging device configured to detect a movement of the needle-free device from a first location on the body of the patient to a second location on the body of the patient; and a processor configured to determine the second location on the body of the device relative to the first location from the movement of the needle-free device relative to the first location on the body, the processor further configured to determine a volume of the plurality of volumes of the treatment to deliver to the body of the patient at the second location.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH A LOCKING MECHANISM
A dose delivery mechanism and a medicament delivery device are presented having a housing holding a medicament container and a power unit, where the power unit has a plunger rod, a drive spring, operably arranged to act on the plunger rod and on the medicament container. A locking ring is operatively engaged with an actuator having a holding ledge that can releasably hold the plunger rod with the drive spring in a tensioned state, and with an actuator sleeve to form a lock that prevents axially movement of the actuator after dose delivery. The locking ring also cooperates with the actuator to generate an end-of-dose delivery signal. An activator is directly engaged with the actuator to provide a well-defined activation point.
TRACK AND LOCKING MECHANISMS FOR INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device includes a lower housing, a needle guard and an upper housing. With the upper housing in a pre-use position and the needle guard in a first position, an abutment body of an arm of the upper housing abuts a catch of the lower housing, preventing the upper housing from moving distally relative to the lower housing toward a dispensed position. Proximal movement of the needle guard from the first position to a second position thereof causes proximal movement of a camming ramp of a leg of the needle guard with respect to the catch and the abutment body such that the camming ramp engages the arm, thereby deflecting the abutment body radially outwardly by a distance sufficient to allow the abutment body to pass radially outside of the catch, and, in turn, permits distal movement of the upper housing into the dispensed position of the upper housing.
INJECTION DEVICE
Provided is an injection device including an engagement releasing mechanism configured to release engagement between a plunger and an engaging member and to cause the plunger to be located at an end point in a manner that the plunger moves from a start point toward the end point by an urging force of a plunger urging portion and the plunger and the engaging member rotate relative to each other around a central axis.
Injector with adjustable dosing
An injector for injecting a medicament in a patient. The injector includes a container comprising a fluid chamber containing a first volume of a medicament, and an injection conduit associated with the fluid chamber for defining a fluid pathway therefrom to inject the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit to an injection location. The injector also includes a firing mechanism associated with the fluid chamber for expelling the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit, and a volume-control mechanism operable to control a fraction of the first volume of medicament that is injected when the firing mechanism is actuated to inject the medicament.
Accessory device for drug delivery device
An add-on device adapted to be releasably mounted on a drug delivery device, the add-on device comprising an outer assembly with an add-on dose setting member adapted to be coupled to the outer housing of a pen housing, as well as an inner assembly engaging the pen dose setting member and being in rotational engagement with the add-on dose setting member during dose setting. The invention addresses the issue of preventing transfer of movement from the add-on dose setting member to the inner assembly during dose expelling, which in accordance with the invention is realized by rotationally de-coupling the inner and outer assembly during dose expelling.
INJECTION DEVICE
Injection monitoring circuitry is provided for coupling to part of an injection device having a syringe and a plunger rod. The injection monitoring circuitry has an input to receive force measurement data from a force sensor, the force measurement data includes a plurality of timestamped force measurements of force applied by a user to the injection device when an injection is administered to an injection site. Processing circuitry is provided to determine from the force measurement data when an end of injection has been reached, the end of injection corresponding to the plunger rod having reached an end position in a distal portion of the barrel of the syringe during administration of the injection by the user. Machine readable instructions and an injection monitoring method are also provided.
AUTO-INJECTOR WITH ACTIVE AGENT CONTAINER LATCHING
In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors distributed pre-filled and with the springs tensed may be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure sterility of the needle. When the needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container and needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve accommodating the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto the skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange, thereby freeing the travel path for needle movement.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH AN ACOUSTIC FEEDBACK ARRANGEMENT
An injection device for setting and injecting of a dose of a medicament includes: an acoustic feedback arrangement comprising: a first feedback element having a first engaging section and having a free end section located at a predetermined distance from the first engaging section, a second feedback element having a second engaging section configured to engage with the first engaging section, wherein the first feedback element is movable, pivotable or resiliently deformable along a first direction (d1) relative to the second feedback element from an initial state (i) towards a biased state (b), and a sound generator formed by the first engaging section or audibly engageable with the free end section of the first feedback element.
