The injector includes a needle configured for subcutaneous administration of the octreotide acetate, the octreotide acetate having a concentration of 2,500 μg/mL. The method further includes permitting setting of a dose of the octreotide acetate by rotation of the variable dose setter. The injector is configured to provide at least one audible feedback during the rotation. The method further includes operating the actuator to deliver the octreotide acetate from the cartridge through the needle to treat the subject. The injector is provided with multiple surface portions.
KEYED CONNECTORS
A set of at least two drug delivery devices includes a first drug delivery device and a second drug delivery device, The first and second drug delivery devices each include a first set of mutual members that are identical, and the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device each include a second set of distinguishing members that differ. The first drug delivery device includes a first connection device for attaching a first dispensing unit to the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device includes second connection device for attaching a second dispensing unit to the second drug delivery device, the first and second connection devices differ from each other so that the second dispensing unit is not attachable to the first connection device and the first dispensing unit is not attachable to the second connection device.
INJECTION SPRING FOR AGED PREFILLED SYRINGE AND AUTO INJECTOR
An auto injector apparatus includes a syringe and an auto injector. The syringe includes a barrel holding a therapeutic fluid including an anti-calcitonin gene-related peptide (anti-CGRP) antibody. The syringe also includes a stopper disposed within the barrel and the stopper moves axially within the barrel between a first position and a second position to expel at least some of the therapeutic fluid from the syringe. The auto injector includes a rod that abuts the stopper and an injection spring that drives the rod to apply a dispensing force through the rod to the stopper. The dispensing force includes a first dispensing force of between 20 N and 40 N and a second dispensing force of between 12 N and 20 N. The injection spring initially applies the first dispensing force and then applies the second dispensing force to move the stopper to the second position.
PEN-LIKE SYRINGE DEVICE AND SYRINGE SYSTEM
A syringe device and a syringe system with a syringe device provides an ergonomic syringe device which enables safe operation and safe injection by using a pen-like syringe device having a drive housing, a syringe receptacle for receiving a syringe having a syringe body and a plunger guided therein, and a manually operable push button for activating an electrical delivery unit. The drive housing has a pressure supply unit for pneumatically actuating the plunger and a coupling connection for connection to an external supply unit. The pressure supply unit includes a drive channel which can be connected to the plunger of an inserted syringe. The syringe device has a vent channel connected to the drive channel and via an opening to the environment, the opening being closable by a finger when the push button is actuated.
Drug delivery system with a delay mechanism
A medicament delivery system, including a medicament container and a delay mechanism that is activated prior to completion of medicament delivery from the medicament container. The delay mechanism automatically activates a subsystem or initiates an operation subsequent to completion of medicament delivery.
ACTIVABLE INJECTION DEVICE
Activable injection device including: an external casing having a first opening to be put in fluidic communication with a first reservoir and a second opening to be put in fluidic communication with a second reservoir; an internal body having a first and a second fluidic path, being linearly mobile inside the external casing and being thus able to be translated between a fluid gathering position and a fluid injection position; and an injection needle in fluidic communication with the second fluidic path. The fluid gathering position puts the first opening of the external casing in fluidic communication with the second opening of the external casing through the first fluidic path. The fluid injection position puts one of the openings of the external casing in fluidic communication with the injection needle through the second fluidic path.
DRUG INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE HAVING CARTRIDGE DRUG RELEASE STRUCTURE THROUGH SCREW COUPLING BETWEEN PISTON ROD AND ROD GUIDE
A drug injection control device allows a structure in which a piston rod moving with a rod guide makes a linear motion to stably inject a drug set through a dose dial. When an injection amount of drug is preset through an injection amount setting module configured to make a rotational motion with the dose dial in a housing to set the amount of drug to be injected by storing the twisting moment in a torsion spring, in actuating a drug delivery module switchably coupled to the injection amount setting module by an injection button on top of the drug injection control device, the rod guide is connected to the inside of the piston rod through a reset tube movably coupled to the injection button to allow a sub-linear motion of the piston rod.
DRUG INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE HAVING STABLE OPERATION STRUCTURE OF INJECTION BUTTON THROUGH BUTTON PLATE POSITIONED IN DOSE DIAL
A drug injection control device has a structure in which a rod lock screw-coupled to an outer circumferential surface of a piston rod can only make a linear motion under restricted rotation in a rod holder with the rotation of a rod guide and the sub-linear motion of the piston rod. When an injection amount of drug is preset through an injection amount setting module configured to make a rotational motion with a dose dial in a housing to set the amount of drug to be injected by storing the twisting moment in a torsion spring, a button plate is fixed and positioned in the dose dial to perform a function of supporting a button spring, and an injection button is slidably coupled through the button plate, so the injection button rotates simultaneously with the rotation of the dose dial, but allows a stable pushing operation through the button plate.
DRUG INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE FOR PROVIDING IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK DURING THE USE OF DOSE DIAL
A drug injection control device includes a housing, a dose dial rotatably coupled to the housing, a cartridge holder coupled to an opposite side of the housing, an injection button, a spring base non-rotatably coupled to the housing, an injection amount setting module to set an amount of the drug to be injected by storing a twisting moment in a torsion spring in the housing, and a drug delivery module to deliver a drug from the cartridge embedded in the cartridge holder by moving through the release of the twisting moment. The spring base includes a ratchet to engage with ratchet protrusions in the dose dial during the rotation of the dose dial, and feedback on the set injection amount of the drug is provided through generating a sound by sequential contact between the ratchet and the ratchet protrusions radially formed along a radial direction on the dose dial.
DETERMINING A STATUS OF AN INJECTION
An electronic device comprising: a housing for attachment to an injection device; a first sensor assembly comprising a first coil and two magnets of opposite polarity, wherein the first coil is configured to provide a first voltage pulse as a first Wiegand wire of the injection device moves from a first position proximate to one of the magnets of the first sensor assembly to a second position proximate to the other magnet of the first sensor assembly; and one or more processors configured to enter an enabled state from a sleep state after receiving the first voltage pulse from the first coil.
