Coaxial needle cannula with distal spiral mixer and side ports for fluid injection
Disclosed is a multi-lumen mixing device that includes a first and second lumen constructed and arranged to separately pass a first and second reagent to a mixing chamber in the device, where the mixing chamber includes a mixing feature that mixes the first and second reagents. The disclosed multi-lumen mixing device may also include a port in fluid communication with the reaction mixing to permit the product of the combined reagents to be injected into a patent.
Graft Packing System for Medical Implants and Related Method
A graft packing system comprised of a graft packing tray and insertion device and a method of using the same if disclosed. The graft packing tray is useful for storing and/or transporting a medical implant, wherein the tray is designed to permit the introduction of biological and/or bio-reactive material into the interior of the tray and the interior of the medical implant being stored and/or transported therein in a sterile and efficient manner via the insertion device. The graft packing tray may also be equipped with a reservoir containing pre-existing biological and/or bio-reactive material that can be introduced to the medical implant at the appropriate time via the insertion device.
DRIVE MECHANISM FOR A MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE AND MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.
PRECISION LOW-DOSE,LOW-WASTE SYRINGES AND ERGONOMIC ATTACHMENTS THEREFOR
Precision low-dose, low-waste syringe configurations have a reduced diameter lumen for dispensing 0.01 ml increments of contents. Plunger and lumen configurations and a needle interface eliminate dead space. Ergonomic attachments improve the control and precision of delivery of syringes. An attachment main body includes a gripping surface to permit a user to engage the attachment and move the attachment main body, and thus the syringe plunger relative to the syringe barrel using sliding movement. Optical enhancement features are provided on the attachment to improve the readability of gradations and plunger position. The attachment may be provided with an assist feature, which may be a traction wheel mounted on the attachment body. An alternative configuration suitable for syringe contents of higher viscosity may include a pair of toothed pinion gears on a wheel and which cooperate with respective toothed racks formed on or fastened to the syringe body.
Drive unit and injection device
A spring assembly for an administering device includes a driving spring configured as a spiral spring and a spring shaft. An inner end of the spring is rotationally fixedly attached to the spring shaft. A spring sleeve extends around the circumferential region of the spring, wherein the outer end of the spring is connected to the spring sleeve in a rotationally fixed manner and a disk-type spring-sleeve cover is attached to the spring sleeve or the spring shaft. The flange and the spring-sleeve cover extend radially away from an axis of the spring shaft and the flange is arranged near a distal end of the spring shaft. A radial stop is arranged on the flange periphery, and a blocking element is arranged on the spring sleeve to be complementary to the radial stop for releasably rotationally securing to each other when the blocking element and the radial stop engage.
Syringe
An injection pen comprises a circularly pushing device (1) and a vial housing (2), and is used to combine a medication vial (3) with a needle (4). The circularly pushing device (1) comprises a jointing member (10), a spiral sleeve (20), a spiral duct (30), a spirally-pushing tube (40), a threaded-connection shrink-ring (50), a propelling lever (60), a one-way ratchet ring (70), and an injection operation member (80). During the injection, the one-way ratchet ring (70) on a push rod (81) is jointed with a one-way ratchet groove portion (46) of the spirally-pushing tube (40) so as to restrain the rotation directions of the push rod (81) and the spirally-pushing tube (40); the propelling lever (60) cannot be rotated due to the limit of the jointing member (10).
Medical injector with ratcheting plunger
A medical injector, including a body with a displaceable plunger, which has at least one set of ratchet teeth, each set having a plurality of spaced-apart ratchet teeth disposed along the length thereof. At least one indexer is formed to engage the plunger. The indexer is configured to allow the plunger to displace distally toward the distal end of the body but not proximally toward the proximal end of the body. An actuator has a rocker pivotally connected thereto, the rocker being of single-piece construction and having an engagement portion formed to engage the ratchet teeth. The indexer and the rocker engage the same set of ratchet teeth. The rocker is pivotally connected at a first portion thereof to the body to rotate about an axis disposed on the body and pivotally connected at a second portion thereof to a link to rotate about an axis disposed on the link.
Medical dispensing device
In some examples, a medical dispensing device includes a housing and a trigger. A first engager of the device is configured to move axially as the trigger pivots. As the first engager moves, it engages a rod. A maximum proximal position of the rod is defined by a stop. A spring presses the first engager into the trigger such that either the trigger or the first engager rests against a stop limiting rotation of the trigger. A second engager moves axially as the trigger pivots. At the actuated position the second engager, defined by a stop, the second engager limits proximal movement of the rod. An assembly transfers movement of the trigger to the second engager after the trigger has pivoted a threshold amount. A member of the assembly distally moves the second engager. Until it is at the actuated position, the second engager enables the rod to proximally move.
INTRAOCULAR LENS INJECTOR
Intraocular lens (IOL) injectors are describe that include a rack and pinion to advance an IOL through the IOL injector and eject the IOL therefrom. IOL injectors described herein may also include a slide advance operable to advance an IOL from a storage location to a dwell location within the IOL injector.
INTRAOCULAR LENS INJECTOR
An intraocular lens (IOL) injectors and associated methods are described. The IOL injectors may include a collapsible portion configured to reduce the length of the IOL injector when the collapsible portion is altered from an uncollapsed configuration to a collapsed configuration. In some instances, an IOL may be advanced from a storage location to a dwell location when the collapsible portion is altered from the uncollapsed configuration to the collapsed configuration. The IOL injectors may also include a combination push and screw drive.
