Collar and assemblies including same, for applicators, syringes and the like
A collar for reinforcing a barrel outlet spout of an applicator, syringe or the like, the barrel having a substantially cylindrical main body, with the outlet spout at one end thereof, wherein the collar includes: a spout engagement portion; and a main body engagement portion.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH SENSING SYSTEM
Medication delivery devices are provided having a sensor in the form of a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch, a conversion control module that receives signals from the SPDT switch and generates an outputs a signal, and related power control circuitry. The SPDT switch may interact with a rotating component having a plurality of teeth that slide against the arm during dose delivery. Contact of an arm of the SPDT switch to a peak of a tooth places the SPDT switch in a set state, while lack of contact between the arm and the peak of the tooth places the SPDT switch in a reset state. The SPDT switch and SR logic switch may be used to sense dosage of medication delivered during dose delivery. The power control circuitry can include a sleep state the reduces battery drain during non-use, and a wakeup state that senses the administered dose.
Apparatus and kits for fluid infusion
An infusion device includes a housing with an interior chamber sized and configured to hold at least a flange and plunger of a syringe, a trigger held by the housing, and a lever in communication with the trigger and including an upwardly extending cam with a cam path having an upper end. The cam is in communication with the flange of the syringe. In response to actuation of the trigger to dispense fluid from the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels upward above the syringe and longitudinally toward a dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger of the syringe in a first direction to dispense fluid from the syringe. To refill fluid into the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels downward and longitudinally away from the dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger in a second direction to intake fluid.
INJECTION DEVICE FILL VOLUME MANAGEMENT
An apparatus for a firing mechanism 102 for use in an injection device 100 and comprising: a rear cap 104 having an elongate member 110 extending axially forwards when installed within the injection device; a plunger 106 releasably connected, directly or indirectly, to the elongate member and, upon release of the connection to the elongate member, axially displaceable in a forward direction; and a plunger driver 112 to drive the plunger axially forwards upon release of the connection to the elongate member, wherein the plunger and the rear cap define an axial length of the assembly, which in turn determines a start position of a forward end of the plunger before release of the connection to the elongate member, and wherein, during construction of the assembly, the plunger is releasably connectable, directly or indirectly, to the elongate member at one of a plurality of positions for controlling the axial length of the assembly.
Devices and methods for precision dose delivery
Disclosed herein are delivery devices for delivering a volume of a drug product, placebo product, or other product including a fluid. The devices may include a barrel having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end region, and a distal end region. The proximal end region may include an opening, and the barrel may be configured to receive a drug therein. A plunger rod may be disposed at least partially inside the barrel and protruding from the opening. The plunger rod may include a rack having a plurality of teeth. The device may further include a pinion having a plurality of teeth configured to engage with the plurality of teeth of the rack, and rotation of the pinion against the rack may move at least a part of the plunger rod along the longitudinal axis of the barrel.
Intraocular lens injector
An intraocular lens (IOL) injectors and associated methods are described. The IOL injectors may include a collapsible portion configured to reduce the length of the IOL injector when the collapsible portion is altered from an uncollapsed configuration to a collapsed configuration. In some instances, an IOL may be advanced from a storage location to a dwell location when the collapsible portion is altered from the uncollapsed configuration to the collapsed configuration. The IOL injectors may also include a combination push and screw drive.
System and method for microdose injection
In one embodiment, a system for injecting includes a syringe body having proximal and distal ends, a syringe interior, and a syringe flange at the proximal end thereof. The system also includes an injectable fluid disposed in the syringe interior. The system further includes a stopper member disposed in the syringe interior. Moreover, the system includes a plunger member coupled to the stopper member. In addition, the system includes a finger flange removably coupled to the syringe flange, the finger flange including a proximally directed screw. The system also includes a rotatable member disposed on the proximally directed screw, the rotatable member defining a rotatable member opening through which the plunger member is disposed and having an elastic latch disposed adjacent the rotatable member opening.
ACTUATION MECHANISM
An actuation mechanism is presented for a medicament delivery device having a plunger rod arranged to act on a stopper of a medicament container, an actuator arranged slidable and connected to the plunger rod for acting on the stopper when said actuator is operated by displacing it in a longitudinal direction of the actuation mechanism, and an activator for activating the actuation mechanism and for setting a dose. The activator having a generally tubular activator sleeve provided with a spirally extending groove on an outer surface, the groove arranged with a length corresponding to the total amount of medicament to be delivered in a number of doses contained in said medicament container, where the groove is provided with an end wall, a stop ring arranged coaxial with said activator sleeve. The activator sleeve arranged with a follower positioned in the groove and the follower arranged to abut the end wall when the total amount has been delivered.
Staged telescopic screw assembly having different visual indicators
A telescopic screw assembly for an injector includes an inner screw, an outer screw and a middle screw. The middle and outer screws are in a first threaded engagement, and the inner and middle screws are in a second threaded engagement. The inner screw is nested with the middle screw and the middle screw is nested with the outer screw in a contracted configuration of the screw assembly. Rotation of the outer screw in one direction advances the middle screw relative to the outer screw via the first threaded engagement and advances the inner screw relative to the middle screw via the second threaded engagement to telescopically extend the screw assembly into an expanded configuration. At least two of the inner, middle and outer screws are identified with a different visual indicator to enhance visual distinction between the screws, and readily visually indicate an extension progress of the screw assembly.
