Injection pen with dial back and last dose control
A medication injection pen is provided comprising a housing (218), for housing a dose set knob (220), a leadscrew (226), a driver (224), a setback member (222), and a dose stop member (228). The dose set knob (220) is rotatable with respect to said housing (218) to set a desired injection dose, and comprises at least one internal thread (291). The leadscrew (226) includes a thread element by which it is advanceable in a first direction via a corresponding thread engagement, said first direction being that which expels medication from a cartridge (36). The driver (224) is rotationally fixed to said leadscrew (226) for preventing relative rotation therebetween, said driver (224) being rotatable in a first direction to rotate and advance said leadscrew (226) in said first direction. The setback member (222) is rotationally fixed to said driver (224) for preventing relative rotation therebetween.
Auto-injector apparatus
Disclosed is an auto-injector apparatus for receiving a safety syringe, the safety syringe including a sheath deployable on actuation of a plunger to a position at least partially covering a needle of the syringe, wherein the apparatus is configured to allow movement of the sheath to a closed position that substantially covers the needle.
Injector Pen Assembly
An injector pen is provided that includes a cartridge housing 2, a dose selector housing 10 and a nut 18 for coupling the two housings 2,10 together. The dose selector housing 10 defines an intermediate axial position, where the nut 18 can be temporarily retained in the dose selector housing 10 to form a sub-assembly suitable for transport to a different location. During final assembly of the injector pen, the cartridge housing 2 securely engages with the nut 18 and displaces the nut 18 from the intermediate axial position to a final axial position.
Apparatus for Detecting a Dose of Medicament Delivered from an Injection Device
In order to address a common need for cost efficient capturing of data relative to dosage and administration time in self-medication schemes, the present disclosure proposes an apparatus with an accessory and an injection device, wherein the accessory attaches and detaches to the injection device, the accessory housing a control unit; and the injection device includes a passive electronic arrangement and the control unit is configured to use the passive electronic arrangement to determine information correlating to a dose of medicament injected.
SUPPORT STRUCTURE, MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLYING
The present disclosure relates to a support structure for a medicament container used in a medicament delivery device. The support structure accommodates an elongated plunger rod and a drive spring and can have a tubular body having a predetermined radial dimension, a longitudinal axis (A), a distal end and a proximal end and at least one first flexible element arranged at the proximal end of the tubular body and having the same radial outer and inner dimensions as the tubular body. The flexible element is provided with a contact member with an outer radial dimension extending the outer dimension of the tubular body for compensating of manufacturing tolerances of the medicament containers made of glass.
Drive mechanisms suitable for use in drug delivery devices
The present disclosure is directed to a dose setting mechanism that may be used with a drug delivery device. The dose setting mechanism may include an inner body having a helical thread along an outer cylindrical surface of the inner body, and a drive sleeve for driving a piston rod in an axial direction, the drive sleeve positioned within at least a portion of the inner body. The dose setting mechanism may further include a dose dial sleeve rotatably engaged with the helical thread of the inner body and a dial grip connected to the dose dial sleeve and releasably connected to the drive sleeve. Further when a dose is set, the dial grip is rotated so that both the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve rotate with respect to the inner body.
Drive Mechanism for a Drug Delivery Device
A drive mechanism for a drug delivery device having a rotationally fixed plunger rod driven by a lead screw. The lead screw engages a free lock which is coupled to a release knob. A dose setting dial cooperates with an inner cylinder using a clutch to establish the axial movement of the plunger rod during dose setting and dispensing.
SAFETY SYRINGE
A safety syringe comprising a barrel having an opening at an end thereof and a bung positioned in the barrel and creating a volume between the opening and the bung. The safety syringe also comprises a handle portion secured to the barrel and a syringe plunger slidably engaged with the handle portion and moveable within the barrel on an inward stroke to drive the bung forwards within the barrel to cause a substance within the volume to be expelled from the opening. The safety syringe further comprises a rotation mechanism configured to rotate the syringe plunger within the barrel at a point during the inward stroke when the syringe plunger is in contact with the bung, such that a rotational force is applied to the barrel and a brake connected to the handle portion and configured to provide a frictional force to resist the rotational force applied to the barrel.
DOSING SYSTEM FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
A dosing system for an injection device for dispensing a dose of a product includes a housing having a longitudinal axis, a dose-setting element, a holding element and a coupling sleeve for driving a driving device for dispensing the dose. The dose-setting element, holding element, and coupling sleeve may be accommodated in the housing. To set and correct the dose, the dose-setting element and the coupling sleeve move in the direction of the longitudinal axis relative to the housing, and the coupling sleeve may be held the holding element rotationally fixed by relative to the housing. To dispense the dose, the coupling sleeve may rotate relative to the housing, the dosing system including a guide in the housing, in which guide the holding element may be displaced in the direction of the longitudinal axis relative to the housing and be guided in a rotationally fixed manner relative to the housing.
Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device comprises a medicament reservoir attached to a housing, a drive mechanism comprising a plunger movable relative to the housing, a dose selecting element releasably coupled to the drive mechanism and rotatable relative to the housing, a trigger axially movable relative to the housing, and a limiter selectively permitting and preventing axial movement of the trigger depending on the amount of a selected dose. The limiter is constrained to the dose selecting element and to the trigger. One of the limiter or a component part is axially coupled to the housing comprises a track which is in engagement with a blocking feature of the other of the limiter or the component part axially coupled to the housing. The track comprises a narrow section limiting relative movement between the track and the blocking feature and a wide section permitting relative movement between the track and the blocking feature.
