The invention is characterised in a first audio generating mechanism comprising audio generating elements (94) and said protrusions (150), which protrusions (150) are arranged to cooperate with said audio generating elements (94) for generating an audible signal after said operation for delivering a dose.
Clutch assembly with a blocking system for a medical injection device
A clutch assembly with a blocking system for a medical injection device, in which a first ratchet sleeve (3) is mounted on the clutch sleeve (2), the first ratchet sleeve (3) being rotatable in two directions and cooperating with a second ratchet sleeve (4) which is mounted on the first ratchet sleeve (3), the second ratchet sleeve (4) being rotatable only in one direction, the housing (1) has an internal toothed ring (1.1), the first ratchet sleeve (3) has at least one ratchet (3.1), and the second ratchet sleeve (4) has an internal toothed ring (4.1) and at least one ratchet (4.2). The second ratchet sleeve (4) and the housing (1) have blocking means (4.3, 1.2) for preventing the arming of the device when an insufficient volume of the medicament remains in the container, by blocking the rotation of the second ratchet sleeve (4) in relation to the housing (1).
Accessory device for drug delivery device
An add-on device adapted to be releasably mounted on a drug delivery device, the add-on device comprising an outer assembly with an add-on dose setting member adapted to be coupled to the outer housing of a pen housing, as well as an inner assembly engaging the pen dose setting member and being in rotational engagement with the add-on dose setting member during dose setting. The invention addresses the issue of preventing transfer of movement from the add-on dose setting member to the inner assembly during dose expelling, which in accordance with the invention is realized by rotationally de-coupling the inner and outer assembly during dose expelling.
Electronic System for a Drug Delivery Device
An electronic system for a drug delivery device including a dose setting and drive mechanism, a communication unit, an electronic control unit, and an electrical use detection. The dose setting and drive mechanism includes a first member and a second member that move relative to each other at least in the dose delivery operation and/or in the dose setting operation of the drug delivery device. The electronic system has a first state in which the communication unit is not activated and a second state in which the communication unit is activated. The electrical use detection unit is configured to generate a first signal indicative that the user has commenced or finished the relative movement between the first member and the second member. The electronic control unit is configured to switch the electronic system from the first state into the second state in response to the first signal.
KEYED CONNECTORS
A set of at least two drug delivery devices includes a first drug delivery device and a second drug delivery device, The first and second drug delivery devices each include a first set of mutual members that are identical, and the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device each include a second set of distinguishing members that differ. The first drug delivery device includes a first connection device for attaching a first dispensing unit to the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device includes second connection device for attaching a second dispensing unit to the second drug delivery device, the first and second connection devices differ from each other so that the second dispensing unit is not attachable to the first connection device and the first dispensing unit is not attachable to the second connection device.
Multiple dosage injector with rack and pinion dosage system
A dispensing mechanism for delivering a dosage of medicament including a housing, a push button, a crank arm that is slideably engageable with the push button, a ram, and a ratchet gear releasably engageable with the crank arm and ram, translation of the push button along an axis causing the crank arm to engage and rotate the ratchet gear which causes the ram to distally advance relative to the housing.
Sensor arrangement for an injection device
The disclosure relates to a sensor arrangement for an injection device to determine an axial position of at least one device component of the injection device inside a housing of the injection device. The sensor arrangement includes an elongated member located inside the housing, extending in an axial direction and having at least a first section and a second section of different magnetization. The first and second sections are separated in the axial direction. The sensor arrangement also includes at least one magnetic sensor element attached to the housing to detect the axial position of at least one of the first and second sections.
Auto injector with improved functionality
The invention relates to an auto injector, by which a fixed dose of a medicament can be injected as self-treatment, and by which needle exposure to an accessible position, injection of the medicament and retraction of the needle to an inaccessible position is automatically performed as a continuous sequence, after the auto injector is triggered. The invention provides solutions to improve the functionality of the retraction of the needle and the general experience of the use.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device comprises a housing adapted to receive a medicament container, a plunger and a plunger release mechanism that comprises a first plunger boss arranged on the plunger, a profiled slot arranged on the housing and adapted to be engaged by the first plunger boss so as to inhibit movement of the plunger in a distal direction. The plunger is rotatable about a longitudinal axis to release the first plunger boss from the profiled slot so as to allow movement of the plunger in the distal direction. A sleeve is coupled to the housing to permit movement of the sleeve relative to the housing. A sleeve ramp is arranged on the sleeve and adapted to engage a rib or boss on the plunger to rotate the plunger to release the first plunger boss from the profiled slot when the sleeve is moved in a proximal direction.
ACTIVATABLE DRUG DELVIERY DEVICE WITH SAFETY ASSEMBLY
A drug delivery device for delivering a dose of a medicament and a safety assembly for a drug delivery device, wherein the drug delivery device comprises a housing assembly, and a drive mechanism for delivering the dose, in response to activation. The drug delivery device further comprises an activation mechanism comprising a rotatable activation member (310), in response to an axial movement of the activation member, wherein the activation member (310) is adapted to be arranged in: (i) a first angular position, and (ii) a second angular position, wherein activation is allowed. The drug delivery device further comprises a ring member (390) as a part of a safety assembly. The ring member (390) is rotatable and axially splined to the activation member (310). Hereby, the ring member (390) is adapted to transfer a rotation to the activation member (310) from the first position to the second position, in response to a rotation of the ring member, whereby a user can rotate the activation member (310) without unintentionally activating the drive mechanism.
