A dispensing mechanism for administering a dosage of a medicament includes dosage setting means (7) for setting the dosage of a medicament to be administered; expelling means (15) for expelling a medicament from a medicament container; and coupling means (21) operatively coupled with the dosage setting means (7) and the expelling means (15), wherein the coupling means (21) is arranged to convert displacement of the dosage setting means (7) into a displacement of the expelling means (15) in a first direction, wherein the expelling means (15) includes a ratchet means (18a, 18b), and wherein the mechanism includes a first and a second independently moveable resisting pawl (14a, 14b) means facing a common side of the ratchet means (18), the first and the second resisting pawl means (14a, 14b) being configured to engage with the ratchet means (18a, 18b) and resist displacement of the expelling means (15) in a second direction opposite to said first direction.

SYRINGES CONFIGURED TO INHIBIT FORWARD PLUNGER MOVEMENT

Disclosed are systems that include a syringe having a barrel configured to hold a fluid and a plunger configured to draw the fluid into the barrel when the plunger is pulled backward through the barrel. The syringe is configured to inhibit forward movement of the plunger. For example, the systems can include mating pockets configured to engage barbs to inhibit forward movement of the plunger.

TRACK-INDEXED SYRINGE

The present invention relates to a finger grip (1) arranged to be connected to a syringe barrel having a plunger and a plunger rod for driving said plunger. The finger grip comprises a body having a lower side with finger supporting surfaces (13) for supporting fingers of a user during handling and an engagement member (5) being moveable between an inactive position where the engagement member is arranged not to engage with the plunger rod of the syringe barrel and an active position where the engagement member is arranged to engage with a grooved surface on the plunger rod of the syringe such that feedback is given to a user as the plunger is moved relative to the finger grip. An activation member (7) for moving the engagement member from said inactive position to said active position is built-in into the finger grip.

Mechanical syringe accessory

Described herein are syringe accessories that can be attached to standard syringes. These accessories utilize one or more mechanisms that can provide at least one additional sensory feedback to the user when performing an aliquot or dosed injection. In other embodiments, the accessories can prevent overdosing.

SYRINGE

The disclosure relates to a syringe, comprising a barrel and a plunger, wherein at least a part of said plunger is longitudinally slidably received in the barrel, wherein the plunger comprises a portion that is provided with at least one series of interspaced plunger formations, wherein the barrel is provided with a corresponding barrel formation for consecutively engaging successive ones of the plunger formations, wherein the syringe is arranged such as to be brought from a first state in which the barrel formation successively engages the plunger formations during slidable displacement of the plunger within the barrel, into a second state in which the barrel formation is held in a position spaced away from the plunger portion that comprises the plunger formations.

Therapeutic agent delivery device

A system for storing and delivering a predetermined amount of fluid includes a syringe including a barrel, a flange disposed at the proximal end of the barrel, and a plunger assembly configured to be received in the lumen of the barrel. The plunger assembly includes a piston and a plunger rod. The plunger rod is removably couplable to the piston at the distal end of the plunger rod and includes a thumb press flange at the proximal end of the plunger rod. The system further includes a stop feature that is removably couplable to the syringe or the plunger assembly. The stop feature is configured to arrest distal advancement of the plunger assembly relative to the syringe when the plunger assembly reaches a predetermined position relative to the syringe. The stop thus ensures that a predetermined amount of fluid remains in the barrel.

GENERATING AUGMENTED REALITY IMAGES USING SENSOR AND LOCATION DATA
20190108684 · 2019-04-11 ·

Embodiments relate to using sensor data and location data from a device to generate augmented reality images. A mobile device pose can be determined (a geographic position, direction and a three dimensional orientation of the device) within a location. A type of destination in the location can be identified and multiple destinations can be identified, with the mobile device receiving queue information about the identified destinations from a server. A first image can be captured. Based on the queue information, one of the identified destinations can be selected. The geographic position of each identified destination can be identified, and these positions can be combined with the mobile device pose to generate a second image. Finally, an augmented reality image can be generated by combining the first image and the second image, the augmented reality image identifying the selected one destination.

Medicament delivery device

A multi-dose medicament delivery device is presented having a housing, a medicament container assembly, a dose drum, a plunger rod, and an activation assembly. The dose drum is supported in the housing via a threaded connection, wherein the dose drum is axially movable with respect to the housing in a backward direction from an initial position to at least one dosing position when rotated in a first direction in order to set a dose to be delivered, and axially movable with respect to the housing in a forward direction from said dosing position to the initial position when rotated in a second, opposite direction in order to deliver the dose set. The plunger rod is operationally associated with the stopper and supported in the housing via a threaded connection, wherein the threaded connection is configured to axially guide the plunger rod toward the device front end when the plunger rod is rotated in the second direction.

Re-useable injector device for syringe

An injector device includes an injector body that receives a syringe; and an injection assembly being configured to dispense medicament from the syringe in a dispensation step. Certain types of injector devices include a sudden completion indicator that indicates when the injection is completed. Certain types of injector devices are configured to dispense two different medicament formulations having different viscosities from syringes without making any changes to the injector devices other than to switch out the syringes. Certain types of injector devices include safety arrangements that inhibit firing of the injector device until front and rear housing assemblies are disposed in predetermined rotational and axial positions relative to each other.

Injection pen with dial back and last dose control

A medication injection pen comprises a dose set knob rotatable with respect to a housing to set a desired injection dose. The dose set knob comprises at least one internal thread. A leadscrew includes a thread element for advancing in a first direction via a corresponding thread engagement. A driver is rotationally fixed to the leadscrew and is rotatable in a first direction to rotate and advance the leadscrew in the first direction. The setback member is rotationally fixed to the driver. The dose stop member is rotationally coupled to the setback member and is axially movable relative to the dose set knob when the dose set knob is rotated relative to the setback member. Axial movement of the dose stop member limits the user from setting a dose that is greater than an injectable volume of medication remaining in a cartridge.
