Safety needle device
A safety needle device is disclosed having a housing configured to couple to a syringe, the housing having a proximal end, a distal end, and a housing body. A needle hub is disposed on the proximal end of the housing and a needle cannula is attached to the needle hub. The device having a retractable sheath configured to move between an initial position, a retracted position and an extended position with respect to the housing, wherein the initial position partially exposes a distal tip of the needle cannula, the retracted position fully exposes the needle cannula, and the extended position fully covers the distal tip of the needle cannula. The safety needle device may include an activation latch, a lockout latch, a tether and a spring element to bias the retractable sheath to an extended state to cover the distal end of the needle cannula upon completion of an injection. The safety needle device may include a slider element disposed above an activation latch. A method of drug delivery is also disclosed.
Automatic Injection Device With Improved Syringe Retention
Automatic injection device includes an end sleeve and a syringe support mounted slidably with respect to the end sleeve. The syringe support is intended to carry an injection syringe provided with an injection needle and with a cap for protecting this injection needle. This automatic injection device includes a membrane formed by at least two locking elements which are mounted so as to slide substantially radially in the end sleeve between a configuration permitting the passage of the cap for protecting the injection syringe, in which configuration limit stops of the locking elements, intended to cooperate with a shoulder of the injection syringe, are moved away from each other, and a configuration permitting the immobilisation of the injection syringe, in which configuration the limit stops of the locking elements are moved towards each other.

A drug delivery device includes a housing element, a protection member, a moveable member, a first stop feature, a second stop feature configured to interact with the first stop feature, wherein the drug delivery device is configured to perform a drug delivery operation, wherein the drug delivery device is configured to be switchable from an initial state into a released state, wherein in the released state (i) the protection member is in a proximal position, and (ii) the moveable member moves into a locking position, and wherein the drug delivery device is configured to be switchable from the released state into a post-released state by moving the protection member from the proximal position in a distal direction into a post-release position, wherein in the post-released state (i) the protection member is in the post-release position and (ii) the moveable member is in the locking position.
Needle assembly with needle shroud and movable needle support
A needle assembly for mounting on an injection device which comprises a body configured to be attached to an injection device in use; a double ended needle; and a needle shield coupled to the body. The needle shield is arranged for axial movement with respect to the body. The needle assembly has an injection configuration, in which the shield is positioned such that the forward tip of the needle projects beyond a forward end of the shield. The needle assembly also has a shroud configuration, in which the shield is positioned such that the forward end of the shield extends beyond the forward tip of the needle. The needle assembly further comprises a needle support fixed relative to the body when the needle assembly is in the injection configuration. Movement of the shield from the injection configuration to the shroud configuration axially displaces the needle support relative to the body.
Safety syringe and needle shield
The disclosure pertains to a safety syringe having a retractable needle shield which is capable of being retracted to expose the needle for use; being advanced to a needle shielding position; and, if desired, of being removed from the syringe with the shielded needle safely contained within the retractable needle shield via a frangible segment between the syringe barrel and the needle/needle shield components. The disclosure further pertains to a method of using the safety syringe having a retractable needle shield.
Needle shielding system
Needle shielding systems are disclosed. The needle shielding system comprises a needle, a cover sleeve, and a needle shield. The needle has a needle tip and a needle bulge spaced apart from the needle tip. The cover sleeve is slidably mounted over the needle and comprises an end portion having an internal diameter smaller than the width of the needle bulge, and a cover sleeve shaft extending from the end portion towards the needle tip and having an internal diameter larger than the width of the needle bulge. The needle shield comprises a base plate slidably mounted over the needle adjacent to the end portion, and at least one resilient arm extending from the base plate towards the needle tip. In use the needle shield and cover sleeve move along the needle until the end portion contacts the needle bulge and the cover sleeve shaft and the arm cover the needle tip.
Safety clip for Seldinger cannula
The invention relates to a cannula, having an elongated tube, open on both ends, for receiving an elongated element and a movable safety clip enclosing the tube which encloses the tube end when advancing along the tube beyond one of the two ends. The safety clip and the elongated element are designed to attract or repel each other by magnetic force.
Safety syringe with needle redirection device
A safety syringe comprising a needle redirection device that is desirably configured to bend the needle shaft forwardly of the barrel following an injection to thereby redirect the needle tip from a first position where it projects forwardly in coaxial alignment with the syringe barrel to a second position where the needle tip is covered or protected from incidental or accidental contact and associated needle sticks. Both sliding and pivoting embodiments are disclosed.
AUTO-RETRACTABLE SAFETY BLOOD COLLECTION NEEDLE
An auto-retractable blood collection needle, including: a needle holder including a first tube, a second tube and a holder tail; a needle in stalled in the first tube; a built-in sliding sleeve which is elongated and through and has a C-shaped cross section; a needle shield which is hollow and elongated; and a spring sheathed on the first tube. The second tube is installed in the built-in sliding sleeve and is capable of sliding back and forth. The built-in sliding sleeve is installed in the needle shield and is capable of sliding back and forth. A locking mechanism is formed by the holder tail and the needle shield. When the holder tail is unlocked from the needle shield, a force of the spring pushes the second tube to slide backward, and then the built-in sliding sleeve is driven to slide rearward to lock with the needle shield.

A safety pen needle assembly (12) is disclosed which comprises a hub (30), a needle cannula (20) engaged to the hub (30), the needle cannula (20) having a distal end for insertion into a patient, and a proximal end extending into the hub (30), a sleeve (14) surrounding the hub (30) and needle cannula (20), a shield (16) including a window (18), the shield (16) surrounding the sleeve (14) and movable relative to the sleeve (14) from a first position, to a second position and to a third position to expose and cover the distal end of the needle cannula (20), and a spring (144) urging the shield (16) to move relative to the sleeve (14) from the second position to the third position, wherein the window (18) indicates when the needle cannula (20) is extended in the second position.
