Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device is disclosed having a housing, an actuation mechanism capable of delivering doses of medicament from a medicament container and arranged with a delivery member, a shield, a guard movable within the housing, wherein the guard is operably connected to the actuation mechanism. A protective cap is releasably arranged on the housing and having a shield remover. A blocking element on the guard is movable between a blocking position and a release position and has an engagement surface to engage a proximal area of the housing. The blocking element engages with a surface of the shield remover to retain the blocking element in the blocking position. The engagement surface causes a blocking of the guard from movement and removal of the protective cap enables a movement of the blocking element to a release position when the engagement surface engages the proximal area allowing the member guard to move.
AUTO-INJECTOR WITH NEEDLE COVER
A dmg delivery device includes a housing, a syringe assembly comprising a barrel, a stopper, and a cannula, with at least a portion of the syringe assembly positioned within the housing, a drive assembly configured to move the stopper within the barrel upon actuation of the drive assembly, with at least a portion of the drive assembly positioned within the housing, a lever actuation member moveable between a locked position where actuation of the drive assembly is prevented and a released position where actuation of the drive assembly is allowed, and a needle cover having a pre-use position where the cannula is positioned within the needle cover, an actuation position where the needle cover is configured to actuate the drive assembly, and a post- use position where the cannula is positioned within the needle cover. The needle cover is configured to engage the lever actuation member and move the lever actuation member to the released position when the needle cover is in the actuation position.
Resettable shield-activated injection device trainer
In an embodiment, a resettable shield-activated injection training device is provided. The training device includes an outer housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, an inner housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, plunger retention protrusions near the proximal end, and an asymmetrical projection at the distal end. The training device may further include a safety shield slidable relative to the outer housing between an extended position and a retracted position, a plunger slidable relative to the outer housing, the plunger comprising one or more plunger rail portions, and a rotatable reset component having axial and radial movement, the reset component comprising a proximal end, a distal end, an outer circumference, and an inner circumference, a notched portion, a plunger rail interface, and an asymmetrical ramped portion in the inner circumference, and a safety shield locking tab near the proximal end of the reset component configured to interact with the safety shield to lock the safety shield in an extended position. The training device may further include a reset spring associated with the rotatable reset component, wherein an interaction between the asymmetrical projection and the asymmetrical ramped portion of the reset component causes rotational and axial movement of the reset component toward the proximal end of the outer housing, loads the reset spring, and releases the contact between the safety shield locking tab and the safety shield to unlock the safety shield and reset the device.
Indicator for Drug Delivery Device
Provided herein is a subassembly for a drug delivery device, including a housing defining an interior, the housing including at least one opening therethrough, a plunger rod having a proximal end and a distal end, a drive member received in the housing interior and configured to displace the plunger rod distally, a plunger rod follower having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end of the plunger rod follower configured to couple with the proximal end of the plunger rod, and an indicator having one or more resiliently-biased arms having a protrusion thereon, wherein the protrusion is configured to be received at least partially within the opening in the housing following activation of the drug delivery device.
MEDICAL NEEDLE
A medical needle includes a needle portion (10) having a needle tip on a distal end, a case (30) configured to be capable of accommodating the needle portion that can be exposed from the distal end side, a movement mechanism (50) for moving the needle portion inside the case, and a movement restricting portion (37) that restricts the needle tip accommodated in the case from moving in a direction opposite to a moving direction of the needle portion. The movement restricting portion maintains the needle tip accommodated in the case such that the needle tip can come into contact with an inner face of the case to restrict the movement of the needle tip in the opposite direction.
MEDICAL NEEDLE
To provide a medical needle capable of preventing malfunction of a movement mechanism at the time of use, and improving safety even further. A medical needle 1A includes: a needle portion 10; a case 20 which is capable of exposing a needle tip of the needle portion 10 from a distal end, and is capable of accommodating the needle portion 10; a movement mechanism M which moves the needle portion 10 inside the case 20; an operation portion 62 for operating the movement mechanism; and an operation regulation portion 80A that regulates operation of the operation portion 62.
Pre-filled safety needle and syringe system
A needle and pre-filled syringe system that provides ultra-low dosage waste and automatic needlestick protection. A syringe assembly is pre-filled with an injection material. A needle head assembly attaches to the syringe assembly. A spacer is disposed between the needle head assembly and the syringe assembly. The spacer has a central opening. The needle head assembly supports a needle with a needle base. When assembled, the needle base passed into the central opening of the spacer. The needle head assembly also contains a safety slide that can selectively cover the needle. During an injection, pressure and/or contact with the plunger head causes the spacer to contact and move the safety slide. The safety slide moves to cover the needle during the injection procedure, therein rendering the needle safe before the injection process is even complete.
SYRINGE ASSEMBLY
A syringe assembly (10, 80, 132, 192) includes a syringe barrel (12, 86, 134, 194) having a proximal end and a distal end, a needle (18, 89, 140, 200) coupled to the distal end of the syringe barrel, a body (22, 142, 202) coupled to the syringe barrel, and movable shield (24, 82, 164, 222) for moving in an axial direction between a first position where the needle is exposed and a second position covering at least a portion of the needle. The body (22, 142, 202) is configured for enabling the shield (24, 82, 164, 222) to move to the second position and retain the shield in the second position. The shield (24, 82, 164, 222) can slide axially, and rotate relative to the body or slide transversely relative to the body when the shield is in the second position.
Prefilled syringe trainer and resetting mechanism
Embodiments of a resettable injection training device are provided herein. The resettable injection training device includes a body and a retractable shield, extendable and retractable relative to the body of the device, in an embodiment. In another embodiment, the resettable injection training device may include an injection simulation member. The retractable shield may be lockable in an extended position, and may be unlocked to retract the shield for a subsequent use of the device in one non-limiting embodiment. In another non-limiting embodiment, a resetting component may be used to retract the shield to reset the device.
CAP FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a cap for an injection device. The injection device comprises a body for holding a syringe having a needle extending from an end thereof. The cap is removably attachable to the body. The cap comprises an actuator and a needle shield to cover said needle. The cap further comprises a coupling between the actuator and the needle shield. The coupling is configured such that when the cap is attached to the body of an injection device axial movement of the actuator away from the body causes rotation of the needle shield relative to the body.
