Injector Device with Distraction Mechanism
This disclosure relates to features of an injection device arranged to provide a sensory distraction to a user during insertion of a needle into flesh. According to a first aspect, an injector device includes a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, and configured to receive a container of medicament, a needle housing for holding a needle in a position at the distal end of the housing, and a needle sleeve mounted within the housing, wherein the needle sleeve and needle housing are moveable relative to one another by a user action between a first configuration in which the needle sleeve would enclose a needle, and a second configuration in which a needle would extend from the needle sleeve in the distal direction, wherein the needle sleeve comprises a portion configured to vibrate and/or rotate during motion between the first configuration and the second configuration.
PEN NEEDLE SHIELD
A pen needle shield assembly comprising a hub fixed to a needle cannula, and a movable shield surrounding the hub, the movable shield comprising an upper portion having an outer diameter, a lower portion having an outer diameter greater than the outer diameter of the upper portion, and a distal opening, wherein the movable shield moves from a first position where the needle cannula is retracted in the movable shield prior to use, to a second position where the needle cannula is extended out of the movable shield through the distal opening for medication delivery and to a third position where the needle cannula is retracted in the movable shield and locked to prevent further use.
Support structure
A support structure for a medicament container is disclosed that is arranged to accommodate an elongated plunger rod, where the support structure has at least one flexible element arranged to be moved in contact with, and to exert a force, on a distal end surface of the medicament container, wherein the at least one flexible element is provided with a contact member arranged to contact an outer surface of the plunger rod and to be moved out of contact with the plunger rod when moved in contact with the medicament container.
Disposable injection needle
The present disclosure relates to a disposable injection needle including: a needle mount having a tube needle; a first sleeve, one end of which is suitable for connecting to the needle mount to define receiving space, and the other end of which is provided with a first opening; a second sleeve, one end of which is located inside the receiving space, and the other end of which having a second opening; an elastic element adapted to allow the second sleeve moves axially toward outside the receiving space, wherein: the needle mount or the first sleeve is provided with a stop surface and a limit groove; the second sleeve is provided with a limit arm comprising a limit face and a protruding member which is adapted to enter the limit groove with axial relative movement between the first sleeve and the second sleeve.
Drug Delivery Device
The invention relates to a drug delivery device comprising: a syringe with a body from which a needle extends and an inner sheath; a piston rod comprising a piston and an actuation head, a support sheath for holding the body. It is envisaged that the support sheath and the actuation head comprise corresponding indicators.
INJECTOR DEVICE
An injector device includes a housing for receiving a medicament cartridge; a needle unit comprising a needle; and a first sleeve slideable along a longitudinal axis of the housing from a first position, in which the first sleeve conceals the needle, to a second position, in which the needle is exposed from an end of the first sleeve, the first sleeve configured to engage the needle unit so that, during use, movement of the first sleeve from the first position to the second position moves the needle unit from a primary position to a secondary position, in which secondary position the needle unit locates over an end of a medicament cartridge, wherein the device further comprises a second sleeve arranged to move telescopically with respect to the first sleeve, the first sleeve extending from the second sleeve when the first sleeve is in the first position.
Needle unit with floating needle hub
The present invention provides a needle unit (10) for use with a pen injection device, wherein the needle unit (10) comprises a needle shield (50) and an axially movable needle hub (25).
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING A USER OF A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
Devices and methods are disclosed for assisting a user of a drug delivery device with an application executing on a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device may receive information from the drug delivery device related to its condition and/or operation and subsequently select an informational and/or instructional prompt to be displayed to the user based on the received information. The mobile computing device may also generate a display in the application including the selected informational prompt and/or the instructional prompt. Accordingly, the user of the drug delivery device can be guided through the drug delivery process in real time, thereby reducing the likelihood of improper or incomplete use of the drug delivery device.
Medicament delivery device comprising a locking mechanism having a lever
Medicament delivery device comprising a movable guard (10) being movable between a proximal and a distal position and a locking mechanism (15) having a lever (16), the lever (16) restricting movement of an actuation locking member (24) until the movable guard is positioned in a distal position and the lever (16) restricting movement of the guard (10) in a proximal position after actuation of the device.
Drug delivery device with a cap
A needle assembly for use with a drug delivery device comprises a cap releasably secured to the drug delivery device and a blocking member. The blocking member comprises a disinfectant swab and a user graspable portion. The blocking member is configured to be physically moved with respect to the needle assembly by a user. The needle assembly is configured such that in an initial position, the blocking member blocks the cap from being removed from the drug delivery device and movement of the blocking member from the initial position causes the disinfectant swab to contact a septum of a cartridge retained within the drug delivery device.
