Autoinjector apparatus
An autoinjector apparatus is disclosed which comprises a single-use cassette and an autoinjector. The cassette comprises a housing and a sleeve movably disposed in the housing. A syringe may be disposed in the sleeve and secured therein with a lock cap. The lock cap is affixed to a distal end of the sleeve and contacts the distal end of the syringe. A shield remover extends through an opening in a proximal end of the housing for removing a needle shield which covers a needle of the syringe. A cassette identification arrangement is provided on a surface of the housing to enable the autoinjector to identify the cassette. The autoinjector is provided with a detector for reading the cassette identification arrangement.
INJECTION APPARATUS
Disclosed is an auto-injection apparatus for receiving a syringe, including: an outer casing enclosing a drive assembly and a syringe carrier configured to hold a barrel of the syringe, the syringe carrier being forward of the drive assembly and having stowed and delivery positions; an interlock extending between the syringe carrier and a syringe carrier housing at least partially surrounding the syringe carrier, the interlock preventing forward motion of the syringe carrier under the influence of an insertion actuator whilst in the stowed position. The drive assembly includes the insertion actuator for inserting a needle of the syringe into an injection site and a delivery actuator for driving a plunger into a barrel of the syringe which contains a substance for injection. The syringe carrier includes an interlock release mechanism which is configured to release the interlock such that the insertion actuator drives the syringe carrier forward.
Needle safety system
A syringe safety system may include a sleeve. The sleeve may include a guide track formed in the sleeve. The guide track may have a guide pin retention portion, a travel portion, and a lockout portion. The syringe safety system may include a collar having a guide pin extending radially from an exterior surface of the collar. A spring may extend between and be coupled to the collar and the sleeve. A cap may engage the sleeve. The cap may be configured to retain the guide pin in the guide pin retention portion of the guide tack. When the cap is removed, the spring advances the guide pin into the travel portion of the guide track.
Medication injection device
An injection device is provided herein comprising a container body for holding medication content having a distal end and a proximal end, the container body providing an outward flange at the distal end and a ledge at the proximal end; a piston placed at the proximal end of the container body for sealing and displacing medication content; a push rod placed inside the container body for moving the piston distally; and a connector providing an orifice for medication content delivery, placed at said distal end of said container body. The orifice in the connector provides medication content injection fluid pathway. With modification of the fundamental structure, a number of innovative device designs are created.
HYBRID SAFETY SPRING CLIP FOR SHARP MEDICAL DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS
Needle guards that can be made from a combination of plastic and metal can be used with sharp medical devices. The needle guard can have a proximal wall defining a distal surface, a proximal surface, and a through opening, the proximal wall being made of a first material. The needle guard can have a first resilient arm extending distally from the distal surface of the proximal wall, the first resilient arm comprising an arm section and a distal wall. The needle guard can have a second resilient arm extending distally from the distal surface of the proximal wall, the second resilient arm comprising an arm section and a distal wall. One of the first resilient arm and the second resilient arm can be made of a second material different from the first material of the proximal wall.
PROTECTIVE CAP FOR ATTACHMENT TO A NEEDLE STICK PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A SYRINGE, SYRINGE SAFETY SYSTEM AND SYRINGE SYSTEM
A protective cap for attachment to a needle stick protection device (20) for a syringe includes a sleeve-shaped cap body configured to enclose a needle guard of the syringe. The protective cap further includes at least one coupling member coupled to the cap body and configured to couple the cap body to an outer housing of the needle stick protection device and to secure the protective cap to the needle stick protection device.
Medical device for injecting a composition provided with a safety needle cover
A medical injection device for supporting a medical container, the medical container comprising a barrel adapted to contain a composition and a needle extending from a distal end of the barrel, wherein the medical injection device comprises: a body configured to receive at least a part of the medical container, a plunger axially movable relative to the body along an axis of the body, needle cover movable relative to the body along the axis, the needle cover being configured to move successively between storage position wherein the needle cover covers the needle, an injection position wherein the needle cover exposes at least partially the needle, a safety position wherein the needle cover covers the needle and is prevented from moving back to the injection position.
Disposable injection needle
The present disclosure relates to a disposable injection needle, including: a needle mount, having a tube needle; a first sleeve, one end of which is suitable for connecting to the needle mount to form receiving space, and the other end of which is provided with a first opening; a second sleeve, one end of which is located inside the receiving space, and the other end of which having a second opening extends out from the first opening, wherein the second sleeve is axially slideable; an elastic element adapted to allow the second sleeve to move axially toward outside the receiving space, wherein: the second sleeve is provided with a sleeve guiding portion, and the needle mount is provided with a guiding engagement portion, the sleeve guiding portion engages with the guiding engagement portion to guide the circumferential rotation of the second sleeve based on axial movement of the second sleeve toward inside of the receiving space; the first sleeve is provided with a blocking member and the second sleeve is provided with a fastener, wherein the blocking member and the fastener are arranged to allow the fastener to pass through the blocking member in the axial direction toward the second opening, and to prevent the fastener from passing through the blocking member in the axial direction away from the second opening to prevent the tube needle from being exposed via the second opening.
SYRINGE NEEDLE SAFETY SYSTEM
A housing or enclosure is provided with a notch or an opening to receive the tip of a syringe with a needle and cap assembly. A user inserts the syringe into the notch or opening and guides the needle and cap assembly into an assembly that allows easy separation of the needle and cap. After separation, the user can inject the needle into a patient as usual, and thereafter place the exposed needle back into the notch or opening. A cap placement assembly uses a manual lever or a motor to secure the cap in place the needle and release the syringe/needle if needed.
