Single use safety needle guard
A Hypodermic Needle Safety Guard intended for sharps prevention and safer hypodermic needle use during all stages of an injection process. The Safety Guard may include two symmetrically positioned multi-featured arms that include spring tension, multiple hinges and needle locks. These arms may connect a proximal Luer body and a distal alignment tip thereby enabling the guard to open, close and lock on a needle when manual pressure is applied. The Guard position during hypodermic needle use tends to prevent sharps injury by adjusting the exposure of the Needle tip.
SYRINGE SHOCK ABSORBER FOR USE IN AN INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device, for example, an auto-injector of any type, includes a sleeve configured to hold a medicament chamber. The sleeve may be sufficiently deformable such that it functions as a shock absorbing member to distribute the force exerted on the medicament chamber during use of the injection device.
DEVICE FOR THE NEEDLE TUBE OF A SYRINGE
A device for the needle tube of a syringe includes a housing which can pivot on a carrier element for the needle tube and which has an open housing side in the pivoting plane of the housing such that the needle tube can be swung into the housing in order to be held there after being used for injection. The arrangement of the rear free end of the needle tube in the carrier element enables controlled piercing, of the all of a container that is replaceable in the carrier element.

NEEDLE-BASED DEVICE WITH A SAFETY MECHANISM IMPLEMENTED THEREIN
A method includes protecting an entire length of a needle of a needle-based device protruding from a needle mount coupled to a body thereof based on providing a needle shield completely encompassing the entire protruding length of the needle in a first state of disuse, and retracting the needle shield in a first direction toward the body of the needle-based device to apply a first force in the first direction to cause the needle to emerge out of the needle shield to prepare the needle-based device for a second state of use. The method also includes transitioning the needle-based device back to the first state of disuse following the second state of use in accordance with applying a second force in a second direction diametrically opposite to the first direction, and providing a lock button to lock the needle shield in the first state of disuse.
COMBINED NEEDLE AND CANNULA
A device for performing injections in a patient includes a syringe holder with a needle guard, a cannula extending from the syringe holder, a needle slidably disposed over the cannula, and a slider on the syringe holder. The cannula has a blunt tip and a cannula length, and the needle has a sharp tip and a needle length that is shorter than the cannula length. The slider is coupled with the needle and is configured to slide the needle along the cannula from an extended position, in which the sharp tip of the needle is located at or immediately adjacent the blunt tip of the cannula, to a retracted position, in which the sharp tip is housed within the needle guard of the syringe holder.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR INJECTING MEDICAMENTS
The disclosure relates to injectors that are configured to inject and deliver medicaments and other fluids from a syringe into a target site.
Safety syringe apparatus
An apparatus for use with a syringe to provide a safety syringe, the apparatus including: a sheath deployable for at least partially covering a needle of the syringe; a sheath actuator for deploying the sheath; and a ratioed mechanism linking the sheath and the sheath actuator and configured such that a magnitude of movement of the sheath is greater than a magnitude of movement of the sheath actuator during deployment of the sheath.
An Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to an injection device including: a housing; a carrier disposed within the housing for holding a syringe that has a needle at one end; a needle sleeve located within the housing and being axially moveable with respect to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position; a biasing element configured to bias the needle sleeve towards the extended position; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the needle sleeve in the extended position after use of the injection device, the locking mechanism comprising; a first locking member provided on and projecting from the carrier; and a second locking member comprising a deflectable arm provided on the needle sleeve and moveable between a relaxed position and a deflected position.
Dental safety syringe
A dental safety syringe comprising selectively attachable barrel and plunger assemblies, the barrel assembly desirably further comprising a needle cartridge containing a needle holder and spring, and having a distal end from which a needle can be made to project forwardly while administering a medication and then subsequently withdrawn into the needle cartridge to avoid contamination following or between injections. The needle cartridge also comprises a proximal end having a recess into which an ampule containing medication can be inserted prior to connecting the plunger assembly to the barrel assembly so that a rubber dam in the distal end of the ampule is pierced by the proximal end of the needle whenever the syringe is fully assembled.
