Constrained mobile bearing hip assembly and method

An acetabular hip implant and method includes an acetabular shell component having a first feature and a first insert having a second feature that cooperates with the first feature of the acetabular shell component and further includes a third feature. The implant further includes a second insert having a fourth feature that cooperates with the third feature of the first insert and further includes a fifth feature. A femoral head component includes a sixth feature that cooperates with the fifth feature. Interaction between the first and second features, between the third and fourth features, and between the fifth and sixth features mechanically constrains the acetabular hip implant to prevent dislocation of the femoral head during rotation.

A glenoid implant system may include a main body formed of a polymer, a base, and an anchor formed of metal. The main body may define an articulating surface and an opposite bone-contacting surface. The base may be formed in the bone-contacting surface of the main body, the base including a hole formed therein. The anchor may have a main section and a threaded post extending from the main section. The anchor may include a plurality of ribs extending in a longitudinal direction of the main section, the plurality of ribs being spaced apart from one another in a circumferential direction of the main section. The anchor may further include a plurality of wedges disposed on a base of the anchor, the plurality of wedges adapted to contact the base formed in the bone-contacting surface of the main body when the threaded post is received within the threaded hole.

Orthopaedic prosthetic system for a rotating hinged-knee prosthesis

An orthopaedic prosthesis includes a femoral component configured to be attached to a distal end of a patient's femur. A tibial tray is configured to be attached to a proximal end of a patient's tibia. A tibial insert is configured to rotate relative to the tibial tray. A modular insert is received in a cavity defined in the tibial insert. The femoral component is rotatably coupled to the body of the modular insert.

Hip Joint Device and Method
20210259843 · 2021-08-26 ·

A medical device for implantation in a hip joint of a patient is provided. The medical device is adapted to be fixated to the pelvic bone of the patient. The medical device comprises an inner and an outer surface, wherein a contacting portion, of said inner surface is spherical and adapted to face the center of the hip joint when said medical device is implanted. The medical device is adapted to receive a caput femur or a prosthetic replacement therefor having a spherical portion, wherein said medical device comprises at least one extending portion, extending said contacting portion of said inner surface such that said at least one extending portion clasps said spherical portion of said caput femur, or a prosthetic replacement therefor, such that said spherical portion is restrained in said medical device. Restraining the caput femur in the medical device reduces the risk that the hip joint dislocates when in use by the patient.

A prosthetic total knee replacement system comprises a distal femoral implant component, a tibial tray implant component and a fixed bearing tibial tray insert. The fixed bearing tibial tray insert is fixed to the tibial tray and articulates with the distal femoral implant component. The fixed bearing tibial tray insert component has a medial-lateral centerline and a stabilizing post. The stabilizing post has a medial-lateral centerline offset laterally from the medial-lateral centerline of the fixed bearing tibial tray insert.

Intervertebral spacer

Disclosed is an assembly and method for implant installation between adjacent vertebral bodies of a patient. The implant has a support body and a rotatable insert therein and the support body is curved for installation between adjacent vertebral bodies transforaminally. An installation instrument is also disclosed for removable attachment to implant and engagement with the rotatable insert to selectively permit rotation between the insert and the support body. The installation instrument extends along a longitudinal tool axis and when the installation instrument is in a first position the insert is rotationally fixed with respect to the support body and when the installation instrument is in a second position the support body may rotate with respect to the insert.
