Further, the laminates of the present disclosure may comprise elastomeric strands having different polymer compositions. The laminates of the present disclosure may be used for disposable absorbent article components (including pant belts).
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article (1) of the present invention has, in at least one of a front portion and a rear portion thereof, an elasticized portion (G) that is stretchable and contractible in an article lateral direction (Y). The elasticized portion (G) has an outer sheet (22) to be disposed on a side that is away from the skin of a wearer, an inner sheet (23) to be disposed on a side that is closer to the skin of the wearer than the outer sheet (22) is, and a plurality of elastic members (24) that are arranged between the outer and inner sheets in a state in which the elastic members are stretched in the article lateral direction (Y). The outer sheet (22) and the inner sheet (23) are partially joined to each other at a joined region (26). The joined region (26) is sandwiched between non-joined regions (36) where the outer sheet (22) and the inner sheet (23) are not continuously joined to each other in an article longitudinal direction or the article lateral direction. A plurality of the joined regions (26) and a plurality of the non-joined regions (36) are repeatedly arranged in the article longitudinal direction or the article lateral direction. The outer sheet (22) is configured to be deformable so as to bulge toward a non-skin-facing surface side due to contraction of the elastic members (24) and form a plurality of folds (29) along the article longitudinal direction (X) or the article lateral direction (Y). The absorbent article (1) has holes penetrating the outer sheet (22) at positions in the folds (29) formed by the outer sheet (22), the positions overlapping the elastic members (24) in a thickness direction.
RING-LIKE ELASTIC BELT AND METHOD OF MAKING THEREOF
Disclosed is a ring-like elastic belt comprising: a front belt and a back belt, each of the front belt and back belt comprising a tummy elastic array that comprises a major interval having a longitudinal dimension of at least about 10 mm; wherein the front belt and the back belt each have a Belt Tensile Strength of at least about 17.3 N/cm according to the measurements herein.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING STRETCH LAMINATES
An absorbent article includes a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and at least one elastically elongatable panel joined to the chassis. The elastically elongatable panel includes an ultrasonically bonded stretch laminate. The stretch laminate has at least one cover layer; and an elastomeric film having two surfaces and a skin on at least one of the surfaces. The stretch laminate has a first zone that is not elastically extensible along a stretch direction and a second zone that is elastically extensible along the stretch direction; and at least a portion of the skin of the elastomeric film is located in the first zone and wherein said portion of the skin has a plurality of wrinkles and the wrinkles have furrows.

The elastically elongatable panel includes a stretch laminate having layers that are joined by ultrasonic bonding. The stretch laminate has at least one cover layer, an elastomeric film attached to the cover layer, the elastomeric film having two surfaces and a skin on at least one of the surfaces. The stretch laminate has at least one anchoring zone and at least one stretch zone. A portion of the skin is located in the anchoring zone and has a plurality of wrinkles, and the wrinkles have furrows.
COMPOSITE ELASTIC LAMINATE
A method of making a composite elastic laminate is provided where an elastic layer is stretched in the machine-direction and while in a stretched state is fed into a grooved-roll assembly, together with outer facing layers, for imparting simultaneous cross-direction stretching forces to the superposed layers. The bi-directional stretching forces causes the elastic layer to tear and/or rupture allowing the laminate to be bonded in areas where the elastic layer has been displaced. Upon relaxation, a composite elastic laminate is provided having excellent breathability and elastic properties.
COMPOSITE ELASTIC LAMINATE HAVING DISCRETE FILM SEGMENTS
An elastic laminate is provided including outer facing layers of a fabric and, located between the outer facing layers, a series of individual, spaced apart strips of elastic film extending continuously along the direction of elasticity. The film strips are formed by a controlled tearing of a continuous film while the film is biaxially stretched and bonded to the fabric facings. The fabric facings have gathers formed therein that allow the elastic laminate to stretch at least to the extent that the gathers can be pulled flat.
STRETCHABLE MEMBER AND DISPOSABLE WEAR ARTICLE USING STRETCHABLE MEMBER
To prevent or suppress the occurrence of tearing of an elastic film between stretchable regions in an elastic sheet stretchable structure. An elastic sheet stretchable structure is provided, in which an elastic film is laminated between a first sheet layer having air permeability and a second sheet layer having air permeability, and the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are bonded at a large number of sheet bonded portions arranged at intervals. At the boundary between a first stretchable region and a second stretchable region, a separation distance Px in an elastic limit elongation state between a bonded portion located on a side of the boundary of the first stretchable region in a stretchable direction and a bonded portion located on a side of the boundary of the second stretchable region in a stretchable direction is 10 mm or less.
