Absorbent articles comprising stretch laminates
An absorbent article includes a chassis. The chassis includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and at least one elastically elongatable panel joined to the chassis. The elastically elongatable panel includes a stretch laminate having layers that are joined by ultrasonic bonding. The stretch laminate has at least one cover layer and an elastomeric film attached to the cover layer. The elastomeric film has two surfaces and a skin on at least one of the surfaces. The stretch laminate includes at least one anchoring zone and at least one stretch zone. The stretch laminate may include activation stripes and/or a plurality of wrinkles.
Absorbent article with extensible ears
An absorbent article has a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; first and second opposing longitudinal side edges, a front waist region and a back waist region; and a first and second back ear extending outwardly from the first and longitudinal side edges in the back waist region, respectively. The first and second back ears have an engineering strain greater than about 8% at about or below 2N of force when measured according to the Back Ear Extension Test, and a roughness Ra lower than about 300 m when measured according to the Roughness Test.
Absorbent articles including front and back waist panels with different stretch characteristics
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to absorbent articles with front and back waist panels having different stretch characteristics. A first waist panel may be connected with a chassis and positioned in a first waist region, and a second waist panel may be connected with the chassis and positioned in a second waist region. In some configurations, the first waist panel may comprise a first structural feature that is not included in the second waist panel or may comprise a first structural feature is different from a second structural feature included in the second waist panel. As such, the first structural feature provides different stretch characteristics between the first waist panel and the second waist panel.

An absorbent article includes a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and at least one elastically elongatable panel joined to the chassis. The elastically elongatable panel includes a stretch laminate having layers that are joined by ultrasonic bonding. The stretch laminate has at least one cover layer, an elastomeric film attached to the cover layer, the elastomeric film having two surfaces and a skin on at least one of the surfaces. The stretch laminate has at least one anchoring zone and at least one stretch zone. A portion of the skin is located in the anchoring zone and has a plurality of wrinkles, and the wrinkles have furrows.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH EXTENSIBLE EARS
An absorbent article has a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; first and second opposing longitudinal side edges, a front waist region and a back waist region; and a first and second back ear extending outwardly from the first and longitudinal side edges in the back waist region, respectively. The first and second back ears have a back ear width (W) and include a laminate having an elastomeric material sandwiched between a first nonwoven layer and a second nonwoven layer, wherein the elastomeric material has an elastic material width (Y), and wherein elastic material width (Y) is less than back ear width (W). The first back ear and the second back ear exhibit between about 1% to about 20% of a 4 hour growth when measured according to the 4 hr. Growth Test described herein.

The elastically elongatable panel has a T-Peel between the first nonwoven or the second nonwoven and the elastomeric film of greater than 0.5 N/cm, according to the T-Peel Method
