Pant-type absorbent article and manufacturing method thereof

A pant type absorbent article includes a back elastic belt comprising a waist guard portion extending towards the crotch region from a closed base line towards an open edge, wherein the waist guard portion is formed by a first inner waist fold extending from a second inner waist fold, the second inner waist fold extending from the inner sheet, and a first elastic member bonded between the first inner waist fold and the second inner waist fold, wherein the waist guard portion is partially bonded to the remainder of the elastic belt from which the first and second inner waist folds extend to define a pocket.

AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING STANDING GATHERS AND LEG CUFFS

An absorbent article including a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core has a nonwoven outer cover layer which overlies the backsheet, forms an outer surface, and has side portions which extend laterally outside the backsheet and are formed into leg cuff folds. The leg cuff folds are elasticated by spaced-apart elastic elements. A pair of nonwoven barrier cuff strips is arranged with a standing gather portion forming part of a standing gather, the barrier cuff strip being attached to the topsheet along a hinge line and having one or more pre-tensioned elastic elements arranged along a free standing gather edge. A pair of leg cuffs is arranged outward of the standing gathers and include the folded-back, elasticated side portion of the outer cover layer and a leg cuff portion of the corresponding nonwoven barrier strip. The leg cuff portion overlies at least one elastic element.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH WAISTBAND

A disposable absorbent article is disclosed that includes a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region disposed between the first waist region and second waist region, a waist edge in the first waist region, at least one waistband in the first waist region, at least one fastener in the second waist region, and at least one discrete landing zone in the first waist region, the discrete landing zone comprising an lateral inboard edge, wherein the discrete landing zone and the waistband overlap to form an overlap region in the first waist region, and wherein the waistband does not overlap the lateral inboard edge of the discrete landing zone.
