The device further comprises a last dose protection mechanism (41, 50, 60) for preventing the setting of a dose, which exceeds the amount of liquid left in the cartridge (170), with a limiter (50), which is interposed between the drive sleeve (41) and the dose dial member (60). Further, the device comprises two different display members (110, 120), each indicating the set dose.

A device for administering a fluid product includes a first housing part with a receiver for the product, a second housing part detachably connectable to the first housing part, a piston rod held such that it can be displaced for the exertion of an emptying movement, an actuatable or releasable drive element for the piston rod, a coupling element including a coupling input element that couples the drive element to the piston rod in a coupling engagement, transmits a driving force of the drive element to the piston rod, and triggers the emptying movement, and a decoupling element displaceably connected to the second housing part and coupled to the first housing part such that it is displaced, by a movement of the housing parts in relation to each other when the housing parts are separated into a decoupling position wherein the piston rod is decoupled from the coupling input element.

Drive mechanism for a drug delivery device

A drive mechanism for a drug delivery device having a rotationally fixed plunger rod driven by a lead screw. The lead screw engages a free lock which is coupled to a release knob. A dose setting dial cooperates with an inner cylinder using a clutch to establish the axial movement of the plunger rod during dose setting and dispensing.

Spindle for a drug delivery device

A spindle for driving a bung of a cartridge. The spindle includes a generally circular shaft having an outer surface. The generally circular shaft extends from a distal end to a proximal end of said circular shaft. A first helical groove is provided along a first portion of the outer surface. The first helical groove having a first pitch. A second helical groove provided along a second portion of the outer surface of the generally circular shaft. The second helical groove overlapping the first helical groove. The second helical groove having a second pitch.

Injection device

An injection device is disclosed wherein a dose can be set by rotating a dose setting member, whereby a push button is elevated from one end of the device a distance proportional to the set dose from a position fixed relative to the housing, and wherein the set dose can then be injected by pressing the push button back to its non-elevated position, through which motion a screw will move approximately the same distance or a smaller distance. The invention provides a method of reducing the dose force and/or the push-button movement during injection.

THERAPEUTIC AGENT DELIVERY DEVICE

A therapeutic agent delivery device includes a disposable portion and a reusable portion that detachably carries the disposable portion. The reusable portion includes a drive mechanism having a guide, a rotary actuator, and a follower drivably coupled to the rotary actuator and movably coupled to the guide. The rotary actuator is actuatable to rotatably drive the follower, and the follower thereby follows the guide and translates the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism thereby translates a syringe assembly of the disposable portion from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration.

DRIVE MECHANISM FOR A MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE AND MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE

A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device is presented having a housing, a rotation member that rotates in a first direction with respect to the housing during setting of a dose of a medication and rotates in a second direction with respect to the housing during delivery of the dose, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The device also has a piston rod that is displaced in a distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose, a drive member which follows rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose, and a stop member which prevents rotational movement of the drive member with respect to the housing in the first direction during setting of the dose.

Drug Delivery Device with Spring Mechanism

A drug delivery device comprises an housing, an axially displaceable piston rod, a rotatable drive member, a spring housing, a torsion drive spring coupled to the spring housing respectively the drive member, dose setting means allowing a user to simultaneously set a dose amount to be expelled and strain the torsion drive spring correspondingly by rotation of the drive member, and a release member being axially moveable relative to the housing between a proximal initial position and an actuated distal release position. The spring housing is helically coupled to the housing such that the spring exerts a tangential force on the spring housing to thereby bias the spring housing in the proximal direction, whereby the spring housing thereby exerts a proximally directed biasing force on the release member. The spring housing can be moved helically in the distal direction when a distally directed force is exerted on the release member.

Drug delivery device with end of dose feedback

A method and an assembly for providing a drug delivery device is presented. The assembly includes a housing and an end of dose feedback connection provides the user with an audible and/or tactile signal to indicate that the drug delivery is completed. A first section of the end of dose feedback connection is located on a distal portion of an inner sleeve and a second section of the end of dose feedback connection is located on the mid-body.
