Drug delivery device with variable piston force
The present disclosure relates to a drug delivery device, comprising a housing, a cartridge, the cartridge containing a drug in a quantity sufficient for a plurality of doses of the drug, a bung, the bung being movably retained within the cartridge to dispense a dose of the drug from the cartridge upon movement of the bung with respect to the cartridge, and a drive mechanism, the drive mechanism being operable to transfer a driving force to the bung to dispense the dose of the drug from the cartridge. The drug delivery device is configured such that the maximal driving force which is transferrable to the bung via the drive mechanism varies and is adjusted to the current position of the bung within the cartridge.
DOSE SETTING DEVICE FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
A dosing device for an injection device, the dosing device including an actuating element for adjusting and/or dispensing a dose from the injection device, a thrust element for generating a forward movement for discharging a dose and a coupling to which the actuating element and the thrust element are coupled such that a rotational movement of the actuating element is transmitted directly to the thrust element and an axial movement of the actuating element is different than an axial movement of the thrust element.
Drug delivery device with spring mechanism
A drug delivery device comprises an housing, an axially displaceable piston rod, a rotatable drive member, a spring housing, a torsion drive spring coupled to the spring housing respectively the drive member, dose setting means allowing a user to simultaneously set a dose amount to be expelled and strain the torsion drive spring correspondingly by rotation of the drive member, and a release member being axially moveable relative to the housing between a proximal initial position and an actuated distal release position. The spring housing is helically coupled to the housing such that the spring exerts a tangential force on the spring housing to thereby bias the spring housing in the proximal direction, whereby the spring housing thereby exerts a proximally directed biasing force on the release member. The spring housing can be moved helically in the distal direction when a distally directed force is exerted on the release member.
DUAL-FUNCTION SPRING
An injection device for dispensing a product, the injection device including a moveable element which is moved for a dispensing operation, a spring, a product container holder and a product container, wherein the spring pushes against the moveable element to move the moveable element to an initial position after the dispensing operation has ended and against the product container to seat the product container in the product container holder.
Medication Delivery Device
A medication delivery device and/or dosing mechanisms suitable for use in medication delivery devices, in particular in pent-type injectors, preferably having a dose setting system and a drive device enabling the administration of a medicinal product from a single- or multi-dose medication cartridge.
Systems and methods for automatically ejecting a dose cassette of an autoinjector
An autoinjection housing device includes a housing for receiving a dose cassette, a base latch configured to hold the dose cassette within the housing, and a back plate operably connected to a spring. The back plate is configured to move proximally within the housing upon receipt of the dose cassette into the housing, and the proximal movement of the back plate compresses the spring. The autoinjection housing device further includes an actuator operably connected to the base latch. The actuator is configured to move the base latch and the dose cassette proximally within the housing after the dose cassette is secured in the housing. The base latch is configured to move radially outwards upon said proximal movement of the base latch within the housing. The radial movement of the base latch is configured to cause the dose cassette to become unsecured within the housing. In response to the dose cassette becoming unsecured, the spring decompresses, causing the back plate to move distally and push the dose cassette out of a distal end of the housing.
Drug delivery device with dose knob clutch
An assembly for a drug delivery device and an associated drug delivery device are provided. The device has a drug delivery device housing and a medicament contained in the drug delivery device housing. A clutch is established between the dose knob and the dial link to prevent inadvertent proximal axial movement of the lead screw away from the cartridge piston, which can lead to dosing inaccuracies.
SYRINGE DEVICE WITH A DOSE LIMITING MECHANISM AND AN ADDITIONAL SAFETY MECHANISM
A syringe device for ejecting a dose of a medicament, the syringe device comprising: a dose limiting mechanism arranged to interact with a dose ejecting mechanism to prevent ejection of a dose exceeding a set dose, and a safety mechanism, which is arranged such with respect to the dose ejecting mechanism that, if the dose limiting mechanism fails, the safety mechanism prevents ejection of a dose exceeding the set dose.
INJECTOR APPARATUS HAVING A CLUTCH TO INHIBIT FORWARD MOVEMENT OF THE PLUNGER
An injector apparatus includes a housing (10.sup.1, 10.sup.2) for a cartridge or syringe, a plunger (40) for cooperating in use with the cartridge or syringe to express successive doses, a dose setting arrangement (16, 20) to select a dose volume, and a drive mechanism (22, 24) releasable to advance the plunger in respective predetermined increments of magnitude to express the successive doses. The drive mechanism includes a drive spring (22) for imparting movement directly or indirectly to the plunger (40), and the dose setting arrangement includes a dose setting element (16) moveable in a dose setting routine to define a magnitude of an increment of movement of the plunger for a given dose. The drive mechanism further includes a clutch arrangement (56) operable during the dose setting routine to inhibit forward movement of the plunger and/or to isolate the dose setting element from the force of the drive spring.
