IMPLANT SYRINGE
An implant syringe with a syringe needle holder, having an axially adjoining preparation receptacle; an outer sleeve with a radially projecting front gripping section, connected together for common axial movement; an inner sleeve, on which the outer sleeve is slidably located and in which the syringe needle is movable with the preparation receptacle. The inner sleeve has axial slots, through which webs engage, which connect the outer sleeve to the syringe needle holder, further including a rod-shaped piston, fastened to a rear gripping section partially surrounded by a rear sleeve, movably engaged in the inner sleeve. The rod-shaped piston is advanceable through the preparation receptacle in the syringe needle so that a distance remains between the tip of the syringe needle and the head end of the piston approximately equal to the length of the preparation to be delivered.
PEN NEEDLE
A pen needle assembly (10) includes a pen needle (12) with a hub body (16) having a needle shield (28) that covers a needle (26) and can be retracted to expose the needle during injection and return to the extended position after use and locked in the extended position. A spring (56) is provided to rotate the needle shield after use to a locked position. A locking member (84) can be provided on the needle shield that cooperates with the hub body (16) to prevent rotation after use. An attachment mechanism (38) for the pen needle provides a sensory indication when a needle-bearing hub body (16) is seated on a pen and limits further rotation of the pen needle relative to the delivery device.
RETRACTABLE NEEDLE ASSEMBLIES
A retractable needle assembly (1) is disclosed comprising a body portion (10); a needle (50) having a forward end (52) and being movable between an operable orientation in which the forward end projects forwardly from the body portion, and a safe orientation in which said forward end (52) is retracted into the body portion (50). The needle assembly further comprises a deflector (70) mounted in the body portion (50), which is moveable between a first position and a second position, wherein the movement of the deflector (70) between its first and second position urges the needle into its safe orientation, the deflector being biased towards the second position; a latching mechanism which holds the deflector in the first position; and an actuator (90), operable to release the latching mechanism.
Safety Syringe Having A Manually Activated Retractable Needle
A retractable needle assembly includes a housing having a sidewall defining a hollow bore, and an elongate plunger, the distal end of the plunger forming a reservoir within the hollow bore for containing a fluid therein. The plunger is adapted for slideable movement within the hollow bore. The assembly includes a hub disposed within the hollow bore and at least partially supporting a cannula therewith, and a needle retraction member engaged with the hub for manually selectable advancement with respect to a portion of the housing. The needle retraction member may be advanced from an initial position in which at least a portion of the needle is disposed outside the housing, to a retracted position in which the needle is fully surrounded by the housing. The elongate plunger may be advanced about the hub for extracting the fluid into the reservoir or expelling the fluid from the reservoir.
INJECTION NEEDLE ASSEMBLY, AND DRUG INJECTION DEVICE
An injection needle assembly includes a needle tube, a needle hub, a main body portion, a connecting portion, and an biasing portion. The main body portion is configured to move between a first position in which the needle tip of the needle tube is exposed and a second position in which the main body portion covers the needle tip of the needle tube.
Intravenous catheter-placement device and method thereof
An IV catheter-placement device and method thereof. The IV catheter-placement device can include a cartridge and a case fixedly disposed over the cartridge. The cartridge can include a barrel having a release button, a spring-loaded needle extending from the barrel, and an IV catheter including a catheter hub slidably disposed over the needle. The case can include a deployment button configured to slide the IV catheter over the needle. The deployment button can also be configured to press the release button when the deployment button slides into the release button. A spring compressed between a needle hub and a distal-end portion of the barrel can be released when the deployment button slides into the release button. An entirety of the needle is subsequently launched into a needle cavity of the barrel.
