Safety and filling system for retractable needles syringes
The present invention relates to an innovative system which definitively prevents the re-use of syringes with retractable needles, allowing at the same time to fill the tank by means of a mechanical system installed inside the piston. The operation that aims at preventing the re-use of the device takes place through a mechanical system that prevents the return of the piston towards the initial position of aspiration and restricts, therefore, its action in a single direction and prevents the return of the plunger to the initial position of injection and therefore restricts its action in a single direction. Moreover a rotating mechanical transition system prevents the repositioning of the piston in the previously used position. The filling of the container, instead, takes place through the use of a system via a flexible cannula placed inside the piston.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE
One embodiment is directed to a system for injecting, comprising a syringe body defining an interior medicine chamber; a stopper member configured to be inserted into the interior medicine chamber to contain medicine within the medicine chamber; a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the stopper member relative to the syringe body; and a needle having proximal and distal ends, the proximal end comprising an anchoring geometry configured to be at least partially inserted into the stopper member such that upon retraction of the stopper member, the needle is pulled proximally along with the stopper to be at least partially contained within the interior medicine chamber.
Vaccination syringe
A replaceable needle assembly is provided for a retractable, prefilled syringe comprising a barrel having a mounting member and a plunger, whereby the retractable needle can be replaced by a user without affecting the retraction mechanism. The replaceable needle assembly comprises a needle fitted to a retractable needle mount and a needle retainer. The needle mount is removably, screw-threadedly mountable to the mounting member of the barrel. The needle retainer comprises a plurality of fingers that releasably engage the retractable needle to thereby prevent inadvertent retraction of the retractable needle before engagement by the plunger. The plunger comprises a plunger seal comprising an outer member and an inner member that engages the needle for spring-driven retraction. At the end of retraction, a lock is formed between the plunger and barrel to prevent re-use of the syringe.
CARTRIDGE SAFETY INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHODS
A system for injecting includes a cartridge body defining a proximal opening and a distal needle interface. The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the cartridge body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in the plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The system further includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the cartridge body. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. The needle is retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member to actuate the energy-storage member latching member.
Syringe with retractable needle
The invention relates to a syringe with a retractable needle comprising a barrel (2) having a nozzle (19) integrated in a male Luer adapter element (26); a piston (3) slidably arranged in the barrel (2) and coupled to a sealing element (16), said sealing element (16) having a central channel (20); a needle assembly comprising a needle (4), a needle holder (6) and a female Luer adapter element (7); a spring assembly arranged in the piston (3) comprising a spring sleeve (12), a spring (13) mounted on the spring sleeve (12), a spring tensioning element (14) located on the spring sleeve (12) and held in position by the piston wall, and a plunger (15) mounted within the spring sleeve; and a piston cap (10); said piston (3) being coupled to the sealing element (16) by means of the spring tensioning element (14); said spring sleeve (12) being held in position within the piston (3) by a ring element (18) protruding from the inner wall of the piston (3) and supporting the proximal end of the spring sleeve (12), the spring sleeve extending into the channel (20) of the sealing element (16) to the distal end thereof; said spring sleeve (12) comprising at its distal end a circular protrusion (21) on the inside designed to engage a circular recess (22) at the proximal end of the needle holder (6); wherein the piston (3) comprises a holding ring (11) on its inner surface designed to engage with an outer flange (17) of the spring sleeve (12) after actuation of the spring (13).
System and method for safety syringe
A system for serially injecting liquids includes a syringe body, proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, a first liquid in a distal chamber, a second liquid in a proximal chamber, a plunger member, and a needle hub assembly coupled to a distal needle interface of the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in a plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. Manipulating the plunger member to insert the proximal stopper member distally relative to the syringe body initially expels the first liquid, then the second liquid. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior.
Syringe assembly
A syringe assembly includes a plunger assembly, a syringe body, and a needle. The plunger assembly includes a plunger rod, a spring, a plunger base, and a plunger plug. The plunger rod includes a first end member having a first stepped part positioned in an inner wall thereof, a second end member, and a first accommodating room. The plunger base includes a plunger body, a projection, a second stepped part, a plunger member, and a locating member. The plunger body is received in the first accommodating room, and the projection abuts against the first end member. The spring is arranged around the plunger body and positioned between the first stepped part and the second stepped part. The plunger plug is mounted to the second end member, and defines a fixing groove. The syringe body includes a needle cannula, a needle base, a fixing pole, and a fixing valve. The plunger assembly is received in the needle cannula. The needle base is mounted to the needle cannula. The fixing valve is received in the needle base. The fixing pole is received in the fixing valve and protrudes out of the needle base. The needle is received in the fixing pole. The syringe assembly of the present invention is prevented from reuse and accidently damage because the needle can retract into the plunger rod using restoring force of the spring.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE
A system for mixing drug products and injecting includes a syringe body, proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, a plunger member, and a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The proximal and distal stopper members form a proximal drug chamber between there between and a distal drug chamber between the distal stopper member and a distal end of the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature, an energy-storage member, and an energy-storage member latching member all disposed in disposed in a plunger interior. First and second sizes of the respective proximal and distal drug chambers can be modified by movement of the proximal and distal stopper members relative to the syringe body. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member relative to the syringe body.
