Injection Device with an End-of-Dose Indicator
Provided is an injection device for injecting a substance, comprising a case receiving a barrel containing the substance to be injected and comprising a stopper movable inside the barrel, a plunger unit comprising a triggering portion, the plunger unit being coupled to the stopper and movable with regard to the case from an initial, proximal position to a final, distal position to inject the substance when the barrel is provided into the case, an end-of-dose indicator movable from a hidden position to a visible position in which at least one portion of the end-of-dose indicator is visible to a user, hiding means for locking the end-of-dose indicator in the hidden position and configured to be unlocked by the triggering portion of the plunger unit when the plunger unit reaches an indicator position.
Palm Activated Drug Delivery Device
A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.
Injection Pen Needle
The present disclosure provides an injection pen needle, which includes a needle head, a needle seat, an outer sleeve, a sliding sleeve and a limit ring, wherein the needle head is arranged on the needle seat; the needle seat comprises baffle plates; the outer sleeve is arranged on the needle seat in a sleeving manner; the lower part of the sliding sleeve enters the outer sleeve and is adapted to move up and down in the outer sleeve, and a channel hole, from which the needle head can penetrate out, is formed in the top of the sliding sleeve; the limit ring is arranged in the outer sleeve; the limit ring comprises sliding blocks; the bottom of the sliding sleeve pushes against the limit ring; and when the sliding sleeve moves up and down in the outer sleeve.
Passive Safety Device, Injection Device Comprising the Same, and Method for Manufacturing Said Injection Device
The passive safety device comprises a sleeve having a proximal end configured to be secured to a distal tip of the injection device, a hub slidably mounted onto the sleeve between a pre-use position, an injection position wherein the hub is proximally located with regard to the pre-use position, and a safety position wherein the hub is distally located with regard to the injection position, a biasing element configured to urge the hub distally towards the safety position, and a protector configured to slide together with the hub relative to the sleeve between the pre-use position and the injection position. The safety device further comprises first blocking means configured to block a distal movement of the protector when the hub is in the injection position so that the protector is prevented from sliding back together with the hub in a distal direction.
Injection Device Comprising a Needle Shield
Provided is an injection device, comprising a syringe comprising a needle, a barrel, a stopper in sliding engagement inside the barrel, a plunger unit moveable with regard to the barrel, a case accommodating the barrel and provided with elastic means and an operating stop, and a needle shield adapted to be moveable under the force of the elastic means from an injection position to a safety position, and provided with a shield stop, wherein the operating stop is configured to prevent the needle shield to move to the safety position by abutting against the shield stop, wherein the plunger unit comprises a triggering portion configured to deflect the flexible leg of the needle shield when the plunger unit has reached a triggering position during its injection movement.
Compact injector systems and methods
Devices and methods for a compact injector are provided with a compact configuration for ease of carrying or storage, and an activated configuration ready for injection. In the compact configuration, a plunger and a needle are both retracted into the injector housing, and upon actuation to the activated configuration, the plunger extends proximally and the needle extends distally, ready for injection. An extendable needle shield is also provided to block visibility of the needle during injection, and to reduce the risk of inadvertent needle stick at other times, including disposal.
AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate tubular case and a carrier subassembly including a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case. The carrier is adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle, a drive spring, and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier, wherein the drive spring acts between the carrier and the plunger, wherein the plunger, in an initial state, is locked to the carrier by a ramped engagement to the carrier and by being prevented from rotating out of this ramped engagement, depending on a relative longitudinal position of the carrier in the case, and wherein the plunger is arranged to be released for rotating out of the ramped engagement.
TRACK AND LOCKING MECHANISMS FOR INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device includes a lower housing, a needle guard and an upper housing. With the upper housing in a pre-use position and the needle guard in a first position, an abutment body of an arm of the upper housing abuts a catch of the lower housing, preventing the upper housing from moving distally relative to the lower housing toward a dispensed position. Proximal movement of the needle guard from the first position to a second position thereof causes proximal movement of a camming ramp of a leg of the needle guard with respect to the catch and the abutment body such that the camming ramp engages the arm, thereby deflecting the abutment body radially outwardly by a distance sufficient to allow the abutment body to pass radially outside of the catch, and, in turn, permits distal movement of the upper housing into the dispensed position of the upper housing.
Autoinjector
An autoinjector includes a case adapted to hold a medicament container having a needle, a needle shroud telescopically coupled to the case, and a plunger rotationally and slidably disposed in the case. The needle shroud is movable between a first extended position relative to the case in which the needle is covered and a retracted position relative to the case in which the needle is exposed. The plunger is rotatable relative to the case between a first rotational position in which the plunger is engaged to the case and a second rotational position in which the plunger disengages the case. The needle shroud is operably coupled to the plunger. When the needle shroud translates from the first extended position to the retracted position, the plunger rotates from the first rotational position to the second rotational position.
AUTOINJECTOR
An autoinjector includes a housing, a needle guard mounted axially moveable in the housing for movement between a storage state, a dispensing state and a lock-out state in which states the needle guard adopts different axial positions relative to the housing, with the needle guard being configured to be axially moved in a proximal direction between the dispensing state and the lock-out state.
