Dialysis needle
A safety needle is disclosed having a puncture needle with a needle lumen and a ground tip; a holding device that, during use, bears on the skin of a patient and holds the puncture needle; and a safety mechanism with a protection element that has a first, opened state and a second, closed state. When the holding device is taken away from the skin and/or when the holding device is moved with respect to the defined position, the safety mechanism automatically moves the protection element from a first position, in which the tip of the needle is exposed, to a second position, in which the tip of the needle is covered as the protection element at the same time transfers automatically from the first, opened state to the second, closed state.
Injection device with protective cap allowing electromagnetic field induction
An injection device comprising: a housing arranged to contain a liquid medicament or a medicament cartridge; an electrical coil arranged at the housing; a removable cap arranged to be removably engaged with an end of the housing; and a magnet arranged within the removable cap; wherein when the removable cap is disengaged from the housing, the magnet moves with respect to the electrical coil such that electrical voltage is induced in the electrical coil and a current is generated.
SAFE PEN NEEDLE
A safe insulin pen needle has a structure effectively circumvents the risk of the needle head protection failure caused by the rotation of the insulin pen during the needle pulling process by some users through a first check flange on one side of a first initial fixing position matched with a first elastic clamping jaw. The safe insulin pen needle effectively circumvents the safety risk that the needle tail tends to damage the user through the needle tail protection structure and, at the same time, effectively circumvents the risk that the needle tail protector will rotate and thus the needle tail protection will fail during the separation of the insulin pen from the insulin pen needle through a second check flange on one side of a second initial fixing position matched with a second elastic clamping jaw.
SYRINGES, SYRINGE CONTAINERS, KITS AND METHODS OF USE
An injection devices and methods of use are disclosed. The injection devices can be single use disposable injection devices. The injection devices can be pre-loaded with a medicament or be configured to receive a fluid delivery assembly within an aperture. The injection devices are also configurable to communicate with an electronic device and/or a central location.
Needle shield remover and a medicament delivery device comprising the needle shield remover
A needle shield remover for assembly with a cap of a medicament delivery device, wherein the needle shield remover comprises a longitudinally elongated tubular body (10, 10, 10) having a plurality of structural features, wherein said plurality of structural features are symmetrically disposed on the tubular body (10, 10, 10), in relation to a plane of symmetry which is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis.
Microneedle device with mechanical guide
A device for delivering a fluid into a biological tissue includes hollow microneedles (10) projecting from a surface (12) of a substrate (14), and a guide element (18) spaced from the substrate. The guide element provides a tissue-contact surface (20) that defines a tissue contact plane oblique to the surface (12) of the substrate (14).
Safety needle assembly
In one aspect, a safety pen needle assembly includes a hub having an open proximal end, a needle fixed to said hub, said needle having a distal end for insertion into a patient, and a proximal end extending into said open proximal end of said hub, a shield having a distal opening and an internal thread that is engaged to said hub so as to be manually movable relative to said hub to selectively expose said distal end of said needle via proximal movement of said shield and cover said distal end of said needle via distal movement of said shield, said shield having an open distal end, and a cap that seals the distal opening of the shield.
Pen needle
A pen needle assembly (10) includes a pen needle (12) with a hub body (16) having a needle shield (28) that covers a needle (26) and can be retracted to expose the needle during injection and return to the extended position after use and locked in the extended position. A spring (56) is provided to rotate the needle shield after use to a locked position. A locking member (84) can be provided on the needle shield that cooperates with the hub body (16) to prevent rotation after use. An attachment mechanism (38) for the pen needle provides a sensory indication when a needle-bearing hub body (16) is seated on a pen and limits further rotation of the pen needle relative to the delivery device.
DOSE MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Embodiments described herein generally relate to devices, systems and methods for measuring a volume or number of doses remaining in a drug delivery device that is used for delivering a dose to a patient. In some embodiments, a dose measurement system for measuring the liquid volume in a container includes a light guide disposed and configured to reflect electromagnetic radiation toward the container. The dose measurement system also includes a light guide disposed and configured to emit electromagnetic radiation into the light guide. A plurality of sensors are located in the apparatus that are optically coupleable to the light guide and are disposed and configured to detect the electromagnetic radiation emitted by at least a portion of the light guide. The apparatus also includes a processing unit configured to receive data representing the portion of the detected electromagnetic radiation from each of the plurality of sensors. The processing unit is further operable to convert the received data into a signature representative of the electromagnetic radiation detected by the plurality of sensors.
SAFETY SYRINGE
An apparatus for use with a syringe for providing a safety syringe, the safety syringe including a plunger configured during an inward stroke to expel a substance from a hypodermic needle attached at an open end of a barrel of the syringe, the apparatus including: a biasing member configured to bias a sheath towards a closed position at least partially covering the hypodermic needle, wherein the biasing member is configured to be released at a point on the inward stroke of the plunger to urge the sheath towards the closed position.
