Auto-injection device
10357619 · 2019-07-23 · ·

An auto-injection device including a housing, cartridge, needle, and needle cover. The housing includes longitudinally extending flexible arms. The cartridge moves relative to the housing and contains fluid medicament. The needle is at a proximal end of the device. The needle cover has openings along the longitudinal direction and moves between a first position, a second position, and a third position, wherein the needle is unexposed in the first and third positions and in the second position the needle is exposed. The needle cover is biased towards the third position. An abutment on the at least one longitudinally extending arm of the housing is receivable within the at least one opening along the longitudinal direction of the needle cover when the needle cover is biased into the third position.

Auto-Injector Device

An auto-injector device comprising an injector body having a proximal end and a distal end; a syringe received in the injector body; a needle disposed in a first end of the syringe to extend toward an opening in the distal end of the injector body; and a sealing element disposed at the distal end of the injector body for making a seal against a patient's skin. The auto-injector is configured to generate a reduced pressure to draw the auto-injector device against the patient's skin. The auto-injector device comprises a pressure-reducing mechanism configured to generate the reduced pressure within the injector body during an injection process. The pressure reducing mechanism comprises a moveable member configured such that movement of the moveable member from a first position to a second position enlarges a closed volume within the injector body to generate the reduced pressure within the closed volume.

SAFETY HOUSING BASED IMPLANT/ MEDICAMENT INJECTING SYSTEM

A safety housing based implant/medicament injecting system. System includes a needle assembly prefilled implant/medicament for injection and an injecting needle/cannula, a housing for accommodating the needle assembly under usual bias inside said housing, a plunger means having a plunger rod configured for stage wise forward motion including an initial injecting plunger forward motion with the needle assembly within the housing to first engage the needle assembly with the housing and subsequent continuing injecting plunger forward motion independent of the needle assembly for injecting of the implant/medicament, and post injecting return of the needle assembly secured inside said housing blocking any subsequent use thereof.

A needle guard device mountable to a pre-filled syringe in its ready-to-fill state. The device includes a device shield interconnected to a lock collar with flexible member and biased to move relative to the lock collar. The lock collar interfaces with the syringe neck to attach the device to the syringe. As the device shield moves proximally, rotation arms of the lock collar interact with angled cutouts in the device shield, causing the device shield to rotate relative to the lock collar and disengaging one or more keys on the device shield from one or more keyways in the lock collar triggering the device shield to move from a first configuration in which the device shield is retractable to expose a syringe sharp to a second configuration in which the device shield is fixedly positioned to cover the syringe sharp.

The present invention relates to a syringe-coupled safety assembly and a safety syringe including the same. According to one aspect of the present invention, provided is the syringe-coupled safety assembly comprising: a cover having a space part for allowing a syringe to enter therein, and a first through-hole through which a syringe needle passes; and a fixing unit having a second through-hole into which a syringe hub, in which the needle is mounted, is inserted, disposed inside the cover so as to be capable of proceeding in the direction becoming closer to the first through-hole and of retracting in the direction becoming farther from the first through-hole, fixed to the cover in a proceeded state, and provided so as to allow the syringe inserted into the second through-hole to retract when the fixed state thereof of the cover is released from the proceeded state.

Seal system for cannula

A system includes a needle hub having a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end of the needle hub has a connection portion configured to receive a first container. The system further includes a cannula received by the needle hub with the cannula having a proximal end and a distal end and a cannula seal having a resilient sleeve enclosing at least a portion of the cannula. The system also includes a vial adapter configured to be attached to a second container with the vial adapter having a vial seal that is configured to engage the cannula seal. The cannula seal has a first position where the cannula seal encloses the distal end of the cannula and a second position where the cannula seal is retracted to expose the distal end of the cannula.
