Safety needle with needle hub, and methods of use thereof
A needle protection system, adapted to protect a tip of a hypodermic needle connected or connectable to a syringe. The system comprises a shield to shield the tip of the needle; a needle hub engaged to the hypodermic needle and having an exterior surface including at least one slot. The slot includes at least three surfaces corresponding to three operative orientations of said shield. The needle hub is connected to the shield such that the shield can move axially, but cannot rotate, relative to the needle hub. The three operative orientations include a storage operative orientation, an injection operative orientation, and a needle protection operative orientation. The system also includes a locking sleeve, at least one biasing element, a needle sheath, and at least one tab in the slot to prevent undesired movement between said surfaces.

The present invention relates to a protection device (1) intended to at least partially cover the needle (2) of an injection device, comprising: a support (3) of the protection device (1), a sleeve (4) movable axially in translation with respect to the support (3), an arrangement (14) for returning the sleeve (4) from an injection position to a protection position, an axial guidance arrangement (29, 30) for preventing the sleeve (4) from pivoting with respect to the support (3), one peg (6) directly and at least elastically, coupled longitudinally to the support (3) or the sleeve (4) and housed in a passageway (10) defining a first section (11) and a second section (12) followed by the peg (6) from a storage position to the injection position and then to the protection position, and a safety arrangement (21; 36, 34, 35) part of which being elastically deformable, arranged in a way as to prevent the peg from returning from the second section to the first section. The invention also relates to packaging (26) for the device.
SAFETY PEN NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
A safety pen needle assembly includes a hub with a needle fixed to the hub, the needle having a distal end, formed for insertion into a patient, and a proximal end, a shield and a biasing member disposed between the hub and the shield configured to urge the shield distally. The shield is movable from a first position, when the needle is exposed, to a second position, when the needle is covered. The distal end of the needle may be initially exposed to permit visual confirmation of priming, while allowing the shield to cover a majority of the needle to minimize any needle-related anxiety.
NEEDLE SAFETY SYSTEM
A syringe safety system may include a sleeve. The sleeve may include a guide track formed in the sleeve. The guide track may have a guide pin retention portion, a travel portion, and a lockout portion. The syringe safety system may include a collar having a guide from an exterior surface of the collar. A spring may extend between and be coupled to the collar and the sleeve. A cap may engage the sleeve. The cap may be configured to retain the guide pin in the guide pin retention portion of the guide tack. When the cap is removed, the spring advances the guide pin into the travel portion of the guide track.
Safety needle and safety needle device
A safety needle (10) and a safety needle device (1). The safety needle device (1) comprises the safety needle (10), an outer protective cover (60), and a sealing membrane (70). The outer protective cover (60) cooperates with the sealing membrane (70) to seal and package the safety needle (10). The safety needle (10) comprises a needle sleeve housing (20), a syringe assembly holder (40), a needle (30), and an elastic safety cover (50). The syringe assembly holder (40) is provided at a rear end of the needle sleeve housing (20). The needle (30) is movably provided inside the needle sleeve housing (20) and the syringe assembly holder (40). The elastic safety cover (50) is provided in the needle sleeve housing (20) so as to be capable of rotating and extending and retracting. A non-return guide slot (23) having a non-return elastic plate (235) in the needle sleeve housing (20) guides a needle sheath elastic engagement component (55) of a needle sheath (51) of the elastic safety cover (50) such that the elastic safety cover (50) can extend and retract in an axial direction of the needle sleeve housing (20) and control the timing of the extension of the needle (30) outside the elastic safety cover (50). After use, the elastic safety cover (50) covering an outer side of the needle (30) can be stopped and locked in the needle sleeve housing (20) by the non-return elastic plate (235) such that the safety needle (10) cannot be used again, thus ensuring safety of use.
