Caps for integrated fill and inject of safety needle devices
Drug delivery safety devices comprise a safety needle device comprising a needle hub, a needle cannula, and a safety feature; and a cap comprising a cap body having a proximal end attached to the safety needle device and a distal end having an access opening that is in fluid communication with the needle cannula. The safety needle device allow for an integrated device for both filling and injection that do not interfere with passive safety features. The caps may have a fill feature that engages with a safety feature of the safety needle device to keep it in a fill state.
Medicament device for use with a conventional syringe
The novel medicament devices comprise a housing that preferably contains a preloaded, conventional syringe with medication. Both trained and untrained users may administer an injection safely and conveniently to themselves or others in myriad settings. Certain of the disclosed embodiments rely on the user's manual action to insert the needle. Only after the needle is fully inserted is the medicament delivered, resulting in a safer injection. After use, the devices include a locking mechanism that locks a spring-loaded sheath in place around the needle for protection. As a common syringe is utilized, engineering and production issues of conventional automatic injectors are avoided.
Protective device and medical instrument assembly
A protective device, for covering a needle tip of a needle of a medical instrument after puncturing of a puncture object by the needle, includes an inner cylinder, an outer cylinder, and a spring. The outer cylinder receives a cam structure of the inner cylinder and has a guide passage structure that includes one or more guide passages. The outer cylinder is provided with a lateral top part and a distal-end inclined edge part as resistance force generating parts for causing the inner cylinder to generate a resistance force at a puncture position or in the vicinity of the puncture position.
Safe pen needle
A safe insulin pen needle has a structure effectively circumvents the risk of the needle head protection failure caused by the rotation of the insulin pen during the needle pulling process by some users through a first check flange on one side of a first initial fixing position matched with a first elastic clamping jaw. The safe insulin pen needle effectively circumvents the safety risk that the needle tail tends to damage the user through the needle tail protection structure and, at the same time, effectively circumvents the risk that the needle tail protector will rotate and thus the needle tail protection will fail during the separation of the insulin pen from the insulin pen needle through a second check flange on one side of a second initial fixing position matched with a second elastic clamping jaw.
Integrated passive syringe needle safety system with torqued compression spring and multi-part collar
A needle safety system for a syringe having a generally cylindrical barrel extending along a longitudinal axis, the barrel having a hub from which a needle extends distally. The needle safety device has a sleeve at least partially enclosing the needle. A guide track is formed in the sleeve. A multi-part collar disposed in the sleeve has an inner collar which is fixedly connectable to the hub of a syringe barrel. An outer collar is rotatably attached to the inner collar. A guide pin extending radially outwardly from the outer collar slideably engages the guide track. A torqueable compression spring extending between the outer collar and the sleeve biases the sleeve in a distal direction and also biases the outer collar in rotation relative to the sleeve.
INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
An injector for delivering a liquid medicament is provided. The injector comprises: a housing having an opening at a first end and a cartridge contained within the housing, wherein the cartridge comprises a first fitting mechanism which is directed outwards from the opening of the housing; a removable cap; and a needle assembly supported on the removable cap, wherein the needle assembly has a second fitting mechanism which is directed outwards from a distal end of the removable cap, the removable cap being further configured such that each of the distal end and the proximal end of the removable cap are engageable with the opening of the housing, wherein the first fitting mechanism is complementary with the second fitting mechanism such that the needle assembly is connectable to the cartridge by joining the first and second fitting mechanisms.
Pen needle
A pen needle assembly (10) includes a pen needle (12) with a hub body (16) having a needle shield (28) that covers a needle (26) and can be retracted to expose the needle during injection and return to the extended position after use and locked in the extended position. A spring (56) is provided to rotate the needle shield after use to a locked position. A locking member (84) can be provided on the needle shield that cooperates with the hub body (16) to prevent rotation after use. An attachment mechanism (38) for the pen needle provides a sensory indication when a needle-bearing hub body (16) is seated on a pen and limits further rotation of the pen needle relative to the delivery device.
Injector
An injector includes a hollow needle; a main body unit including a needle holding portion that holds the needle; and a protection device configured to cover the needle before and after puncturing a puncture target with the needle. The protection device includes: an inner member attached to the needle holding portion and being freely rotatable around an outer periphery of the needle holding portion; and an outer member configured to (i) cover an order side of the needle and the inner member before puncturing, (ii) expose the needle by moving toward a proximal end side relative to the main body unit at a time of puncturing, and (iii) cover a distal end of the needle by moving toward a distal end side relative to the main body unit after puncturing.
SAFETY SYRINGE APPARATUS
An apparatus for use with a syringe to provide a safety syringe, the apparatus including: a sheath deployable for at least partially covering a needle of the syringe; a sheath actuator for deploying the sheath; and a ratioed mechanism linking the sheath and the sheath actuator and configured such that a magnitude of movement of the sheath is greater than a magnitude of movement of the sheath actuator during deployment of the sheath.
