CERVICAL PLATE AND INSERTER
Various embodiments of cervical plates for treating the spine are provided. The cervical plates include an access surface and a bone facing surface. The cervical plate further includes at least one hole between the access surface and the bone facing surface. The hole includes a trajectory surface that guides an anchor into a corner or edge of a vertebral body, wherein a portion of the hole extends into the disc space region. In some embodiments, the cervical plate includes a ledge to support high angle screw insertion. In some embodiments, an interbody implant is provided. The cervical plate and the interbody spacer can have a corresponding curvature.
Expandable fusion device and method of installation thereof
The present invention provides an expandable fusion device capable of being installed inside an intervertebral disc space to maintain normal disc spacing and restore spinal stability, thereby facilitating an intervertebral fusion. In one embodiment, the fusion device includes a body portion, a first endplate, and a second endplate, the first and second endplates capable of being moved in a direction away from the body portion into an expanded configuration or capable of being moved towards the body portion into an unexpanded configuration. The fusion device is capable of being deployed and installed in both configurations.
Intervertebral disc prosthesis
The present invention relates to an intervertebral disc prosthesis comprising at least three pieces including an upper plate, a lower plate, and a movable core at least in relation to a plate, wherein it also comprises at least one elongated movable osseous anchor comprising an insertion end disposed at a first longitudinal end of the anchor and a retention end disposed at a second longitudinal end of the anchor and a plate-like body disposed between the insertion end and the retention end.
MULTIPLE SPINDLE ADJUSTABLE INTERBODY FUSION DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
An interbody fusion device includes a base member, a top member, and an expansion mechanism for moving the top member relative to the base member. The expansion mechanism may include a connector drive rod assembly, a gear, a threaded rod, and a support means. The gear ring is coupled to the threaded rod and is rotatable. The expansion mechanism may also include at least one load head coupled to the threaded rod. An alternative interbody fusion device is also disclosed and includes a bottom member, a superior member, and an expansion mechanism for moving the superior member relative to the base member, wherein the expansion mechanism comprises at least one expansion assembly for moving an end of the superior member relative to the bottom member.
INTERVERTEBRAL SPACER
Disclosed is an assembly and method for implant installation between adjacent vertebral bodies of a patient. The implant has a support body and a rotatable insert therein and the support body is curved for installation between adjacent vertebral bodies transforaminally. An installation instrument is also disclosed for removable attachment to implant and engagement with the rotatable insert to selectively permit rotation between the insert and the support body. The installation instrument extends along a longitudinal tool axis and when the installation instrument is in a first position the insert is rotationally fixed with respect to the support body and when the installation instrument is in a second position the support body may rotate with respect to the insert.
Expandable interbody implant and methods of use
An intervertebral implant is provided. The intervertebral implant comprises a first component comprising an outer tissue engaging surface and an inner surface. A second component is connected to the first component, and is relatively moveable therefrom. The second component comprises an outer tissue engaging surface and an inner surface. The second component includes an actuator. A third component is disposed for engagement and is movable relative to the first and second components. The third component comprises at least a first ramp and a second ramp axially spaced apart from the first ramp. The actuator is engageable with the third component to effect axial translation of the wedge such that the ramps engage the inner surface of at least one of the first component and the second component to move the components between a first, collapsed configuration and a second, expanded configuration. Methods of use are disclosed.
ANTERIOR PROSTHETIC SPINAL DISC REPLACEMENT
The present invention relates generally to a prosthetic spinal disc for replacing a damaged disc between two vertebrae of a spine. The present invention also relates to a method for implanting a prosthetic spinal disc via anterior or anterior lateral implantation. Other surgical approaches for implanting the prosthetic disc may also be used.
MAINTAINING PROPER MECHANICS THA
A prosthetic hip joint is disclosed. The prosthetic hip joint includes a femoral component, which further includes a femoral head with a femoral head cavity and an acetabular component. The acetabular component includes an acetabular cup and an acetabular cup insert. The acetabular cup insert and the acetabular cup each has a through hole, where the through holes overlap a location of a native femoral head ligament.
Intervertebral implant with improved shape of the fixing plate
An intervertebral implant (100) for the fusion between two vertebral bodies of a vertebral column comprising: a fusion cage (1), extending from a posterior side to an anterior side, adapted to be interposed between two adjacent vertebral bodies of a patient; an asymmetrical fixing plate (2), attached to the fusion cage (1) and having a plurality of passageways (16; 7) for the insertion of bone screws on a single side.
