11464643 · 2022-10-11 · ·

Shoulder arthroplasty systems and configurations for components thereof are described. For example, implant systems for a total should arthroplasty (TSA), hemi shoulder arthroplasty, and reverse should arthroplasty (RSA) are described. In addition, exemplary configurations for baseplates, glenoid components, glenosphere components, humeral components, humeral head components, humerosocket components, connectors, and adaptors, are described.

Prosthetic spinal disc replacement and methods thereof

The present invention relates generally to a prosthetic spinal disc for replacing a damaged disc between two vertebrae of a spine and methods for inserting said discs. The intervertebral prosthetic discs are provided with connections for facilitating implantation and removal and features which enhance primary and secondary stability over time.

Expandable fusion device and method of installation thereof

The present invention provides an expandable fusion device capable of being installed inside an intervertebral disc space to maintain normal disc spacing and restore spinal stability, thereby facilitating an intervertebral fusion. In one embodiment, the fusion device includes a body portion, a first endplate, and a second endplate, the first and second endplates capable of being moved in a direction away from the body portion into an expanded configuration or capable of being moved towards the body portion into an unexpanded configuration. The fusion device is capable of being deployed and installed in both configurations.

Expandable Implant with Worm Gear

An expandable device comprising, a body defining a bore, a shaft received in the bore of the body, an end plate coupled to the shaft, wherein rotation of the shaft translates the end plate with respect to the body, and a locking mechanism engaged with the shaft so as to permit the shaft to rotate in a first direction and apply a resistance force to resist the shaft when attempting to rotate in a second direction.

STAND-ALONE INTERBODY FIXATION SYSTEM

A stand-alone interbody fixation system having a cage, anterior fixation blade and posterior fixation blade. The cage includes an annular side wall with an open interior and upper and lower surfaces, the cage being configured to fit between end plates of adjacent vertebrae. The anterior fixation blade includes an anterior alignment boss with two opposing outward extending anterior blades with end plate penetrating tips configured to fit within the open interior of the cage. The posterior fixation blade includes a posterior alignment boss with two opposing outward extending posterior blades with end plate penetrating tips configured to fit within the open interior of the cage. The anterior alignment boss and posterior alignment boss being rotatably coupled to each other and with a first opening and a second opening in the annular side wall opposite the first opening. The anterior and posterior fixation blades are counter-rotating blades and the anterior alignment boss and posterior alignment boss are configured to receive or engage a blade activation tool having an anterior engagement portion and a posterior engagement portion configured to rotate the anterior and posterior fixation blades from a stowed position to a deployed condition.

A hip prosthesis device including a femoral stem, the femoral stem including an elongate stem sleeve having a blind hole extending in a longitudinal direction and a hole opening at an upper frontal end of the stem sleeve; a stem core having an elongate stem shaft inserted in the blind hole and slidable in the longitudinal direction, a neck having a lower neck portion and an upper neck portion, a lower end of a lower neck portion attached to an upper end of the stem shaft, the upper neck portion attachable to a femoral head; a shock absorber mechanism operatively provided between the stem shaft and the stem sleeve to act against a downwardly directed longitudinal sliding motion of the stem shaft relative to the stem sleeve; and a closure cap positioned to close the hole opening with a through hole which the neck extends with its lower neck portion.

Intervertebral spacer

Disclosed is an assembly and method for implant installation between adjacent vertebral bodies of a patient. The implant has a support body and a rotatable insert therein and the support body is curved for installation between adjacent vertebral bodies transforaminally. An installation instrument is also disclosed for removable attachment to implant and engagement with the rotatable insert to selectively permit rotation between the insert and the support body. The installation instrument extends along a longitudinal tool axis and when the installation instrument is in a first position the insert is rotationally fixed with respect to the support body and when the installation instrument is in a second position the support body may rotate with respect to the insert.

KNEE JOINT ENDOPROSTHESIS APPARATUS AND KNEE JOINT ENDOPROSTHESIS

A knee joint endoprosthesis apparatus includes a tibial component for anchoring to a tibia and a meniscal component. The tibial component and the meniscal component are coupled to one another in a coupling position and are completely separated from one another in a separating position. The tibial component has a top side defining an abutment plane, against which a bottom side of the meniscal component abuts in the coupling position. The knee joint endoprosthesis apparatus also includes a coupling device for coupling the tibial component and the meniscal component in the coupling position. The knee joint endoprosthesis apparatus is transferrable from the separating position into the coupling position by a relative movement of the tibial component and the meniscal component.

An improved modular rotational device includes a first and second threaded coupler for affixation along the stem of an endoprosthetic device, for example, a humeral prosthesis or a femoral prosthesis. The rotational device axis of rotation is coaxial with the stem, and its axis of rotation is located in close proximity to the intramedullary stem of the prosthesis or in close proximity to the distal articulation of the prosthesis. A housing has a proximal and distal end with an axial bore therethrough for receiving an elongated stem of the device. A lobe ring may be utilized to limit the axis of rotation of the device. Additional endoprosthetic devices may be attached to male or female threaded couplers, or to Morse tapers. A plurality of suture attachments facilitates attachment of soft tissue thereto.
