Auto-injector apparatus
Disclosed is an auto-injector apparatus for receiving a safety syringe, the safety syringe including a sheath deployable on actuation of a plunger to a position at least partially covering a needle of the syringe, wherein the apparatus is configured to allow movement of the sheath to a closed position that substantially covers the needle.
Medical Injection System
A medical injection system comprising: a syringe provided with a barrel, a stopper and an injection needle; a plunger rod which engages with the stopper; an injection lock preventing relative movement of the plunger rod with respect to the barrel; and a needle guard comprising a trigger portion and configured to slidably engage the barrel so as to define a first position covering the injection needle and a second position not covering a predetermined portion of the injection needle. The trigger portion is adapted to disengage the injection lock from the plunger rod when the needle guard moves from the first position to the second position.
Needle Sheathing Device with Flexible End-Piece for Syringe
The invention relates to a safe support device for a syringe, said support comprising a support sheath for the body of a syringe, and safety means which comprise an inner sheath suitable for sliding relative to said support sheath between a waiting retracted position, in which said inner sheath is substantially retracted inside said support sheath, and an active protection position, in which said inner sheath projects from said support sheath. The inner sheath has a free end portion formed by a flexible end-piece. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising such a safe support device and a syringe having a body, a piston and a needle disposed at one end of said body.
Cap for an injector
Provided is a cap for an injector comprising a syringe with a needle cover. The cap comprises a cap body defining an inner and outer cap body; provided to the inner cap body, a grip for gripping the needle cover of said syringe; provided to the outer cap body, an opposing pair of recessed portions, wherein each recessed portion defines a recess base, and wherein each recessed portion is bounded by a peripheral lip; and provided to the recess base of each recessed portion, an over-coating. The cap body comprises a generally rigid material and each over-coating comprises a more flexible material. Each peripheral lip defines banks that extend beyond the over-coating of the recess base.
AUTO-INJECTOR WITH CAP
A drug delivery device (10) includes a housing (26), a syringe assembly (16) including a barrel (52), a stopper (54), a cannula (56), and a rigid needle shield (58) receiving at least a portion of the cannula, with at least a portion of the syringe assembly positioned within the housing, a drive assembly (40), with at least a portion of the drive assembly positioned within the housing, a cap (18) secured to the housing, with the cap including an outer portion (20) defining an interior space and a retainer (160) comprising a body with a removal projection (164) configured to remove the rigid needle shield upon axial movement of the outer portion of the cap away from the housing, and a needle cover (22) having a pre-use position, an actuation position, and a post-use position. The outer portion receives a portion of the needle cover, with the outer portion configured to prevent movement of the needle cover from the pre-use position to the actuation position.
Safety device for a pre-filled injection syringe
A safety device for an injection syringe including a syringe support, a protective sheath for protecting an injection needle carried by the injection syringe, the protective sheath being mounted to slide relative to the syringe support between an injection position in which the needle is uncovered, and a protection position in which the needle is covered, the protective sheath having an initial grip surface enabling the device to be gripped by a user, the initial grip surface being a projection that extends outward from the protective sheath, and a return spring for urging the sheath into the protection position. The sheath also includes an extender member for extending the initial grip surface, being a separate piece from the protective sheath, attached to the protective sheath in such a manner as to present an enlarged grip surface, larger than the initial grip surface.
Safety device for a medicament container
A safety device for a medicament container includes a first sheath having a first ledge and a second ledge, a second sheath telescopically arranged with the first sheath and releasably coupled to the first ledge, and a finger flange having at least one resilient clip adapted to engage the second ledge first sheath.
Drug delivery device
The invention relates to a drug delivery device comprising: a syringe with a body from which a needle extends and an inner sheath; a piston rod comprising a piston and an actuation head, a support sheath for holding the body. It is envisaged that the support sheath and the actuation head comprise corresponding indicators.
Auto-Injector with Cap
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a syringe assembly including a barrel, a stopper, a cannula, and a rigid needle shield receiving at least a portion of the cannula, with at least a portion of the syringe assembly positioned within the housing, a drive assembly, with a portion of the drive assembly positioned within the housing, a cap secured to the housing, with the cap including an outer portion defining an interior space and a retainer comprising a body with a removal projection configured to remove the rigid needle shield upon axial movement of the outer portion of the cap away from the housing, and a needle cover having a pre-use position, an actuation position, and a post-use position. The outer portion receives a portion of the needle cover, with the outer portion configured to prevent movement of the needle cover from the pre-use to the actuation position.
Accessory for an injection device including a grip for a needle cap
An accessory for an injection device having a needle cap. The accessory comprises a body portion comprising a recess adapted to receive the injection device and a cover coupled to the body portion. The cover is pivotally moveable between an open position in which the recess is exposed to receive the injection device, and a closed position in which the cover at least partially closes the recess to hold the injection device in the body portion. The accessory further comprises a cap remover comprising a grip, the cap remover having an expanded configuration in which the needle cap can pass between the grip, and a constricted configuration in which the grip holds the needle cap to at least partially remove the needle cap from the injection device.
